1. The Eight House (Eight Mansions) concept is "fixed". For example, as you had mentioned, if north is your favourable direction, then most likely you are an East group person i.e. your "overall" good or acceptable directions are " North, South, East and South East". 2. While Flying Star, as you had mentioned, is based on "star numbers" and their combined significance. 3. There are situations where a room can be surrounded by bad stars. Some rooms or some homes depending on the flying star numbers may even be affected by truly bad stars such as #5 #9 #5. If so, it is very difficult to disarm such stars. While rooms with #2 and #9 could most likely generallybe neutralis…

Dear Angela, Please see below:- Primarily, the Eight House Theory or the East-West Group should not be used to activate good luck sectors. It has more to do with: 1. How suitable the house is to the breadwinners ; 2. It has to do with the time spent at that particular sector. If you want a feng shui friendly method (without resorting to the use of ba gua mirror) then my suggestion is to use a semi-circular carpet radiating outwards of the main entrance door. Do take note of the following: What is the element of the beam? If it is mostly made of concrete, then, you should introduce the wood element. Thus, the carpet should be green. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Please refer to the private email Robert had sent you. 2. In his e-mail, he mentioned that "Business Name Analysis is only possible to be analysed if it is soley a Chinese Business Name. This is because there is only a chinese analysis just as in the Chinese Name service. However, there is really no English or non-Chineseanalysis that can be converted due to the difference in the Chinese/English languages. In either case, we currently do not offer this service to avoid confusion as the scope of service is only limited to the Chinese Business Name which also not commonly used even in Singapore. Thank you for your interest in our services." 3.1 Also, in my earlie…

Dear Linda, 1. Firstly, Congratulations! 2. If you are in Singapore, or any in the region, it is common to go to any of the temples to get `blessed'. If you are not sure which temple, you can visit more `netural' temples such as the Goddess of Mercy Temple (Quan Yin) at Waterloo street. 3. Items like Buddhas and other religious objects are not Feng Shui so, I do not subscribe to users buying them for such purposes. As it has more to do with religion. And inviting idols etc.. would imply that one may have to pray to these. So this is up to the individual and their faith. 4. More importantly the main considerations are: (In most traditional practises) a. Choosing an auspic…

Dear Max, Usually, if there is a missing corner, we can try to redress it e.g. with mirrors etc... However, if a sector is deemed to be an auspicious sector is "occupied" e.g. by a toilet, etc... there is really not much one can do - to improve the situation. Usually, if we consider `sectors' it is but one of many sectors under e.g. a concept. Thus, lets assume that this concept or theory accounts for 20% of the total marks out of 100 marks. Within this 20%, if we divide 20% by 9; this gives 2.2 marks per sector. Thus, each sector only brings in 2.2 marks. Which is considered insignificant when compared to good Shapes and Form Feng Shui. Which can yield 50% of the total 1…

Dear Spring, Currently it is difficult to visualise the good luck plant you are referring to. But if it is the Money Plant, then it is also known as crassula ovata. For a money plant it is more a vine (plant) than bamboo. Alternatively, I am not sure if you are referring to the Hyacinth or hyacinthus orientalis. This is a upward growing plant. It flowers with either pink, light yellow, blue or white. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master, The mountain star of my house falls in the bedroom at NW sector where there is a window. So, I have installed a blind to cover the window. And this is the only window in the bedroom. Please confirm if this is correct.Does that mean this window needs to remian close all the time? And in order to invite in fresh air, can I just turn on the aircon in this room and open the bedroom door for a while to let the stale air out everyday? Thanks!

Upon shifting to a new house, I received 2 bad news within a month. Does that mean the feng shui of the house is not suitable or there are leaks? I consulted a feng shui master previously before all the renovations were done. Should I consult him again or wait till 6 months to see the actual effect.

1. Usually it is best not to place a clock above an entrance of a passageway. Anonymous wrote: I have placed an electric round clock on top of the kitchen entrance 3. Frankly, this has more to do with commonsense. In the unlikely event that the clock should fall down; some say it can hit the head of someone walking out of the kitchen entrance. Or when a clock drops to the floor; shards of glass / splinters may be around and someone may get cut by such broken glass. Anonymous wrote: also the same kind of clock on top ofthe home office entrance (facing the home office). Dear Elkay, 1. I have `cut-paste' this message which was a recent reply under the forum topic: " Feng Shui for Business ". 2. Feng Shui cannot be seen as a `cure all'. If there are better `tools' or `concepts' e.g. methology in teaching, this would prevail over the use of "Feng Shui". And even give a quantum leap, where Feng Shui cannot fully achieve. It is the same as using specialised tool for a specific activity. For example, if we want to cut an apple in half, we use a knife instead of using another tool such as a screw driver or even a scissor to cut the apple. Thus, using the right tool for the right occassion is a much sensible idea than just simply using the wrong…

Dear Simon, Simon Lau wrote: Want to seek your opinion whether I could follow what this webpage has advised on how I could improve my luck, fortune, etc As mentioned time and time again, true feng shui does not really require the use of any feng shui items or products. This is done by knowing your element and relating it to the various five element relationship as shown in this link:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net The other, is ensure that you get a house with good feng shui luck and ensure that it is suit…

1. Some of the considerations when buying a landed property be it already built or going to be re-built share common considerations:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 2. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui:- 2.1 Majority of home should have "clear space" at the "frontage" to allow qi to "collect": this could be the garden of the home etc... 2.2 If a tall condo "blocks" your view or if your new home is within "prying" eyes of the units of the condo facing your home... many feel that it is no longer "privacy" for the home. 3. Under Flying Star, one would like to tap the Water star #8 and Mountain star #8 if it happens to be at the frontage or…

Dear Cecil, WOW, i'm very impressed by yourpractical approach, patience and response. ;-)Regreted for not knowing your service earlier. ;-( Being so generous to our queries (which you are not obliged to reply, in fact), i'm very sure that you can give very detailed info to engaged services, as compared to the FS service i'd previously engaged (he just gave me some sketch on my floor plan). Now i understand that there is no "easyrectification" to my main door/ Qi issue: Proposal 1: a sizable space need to be "set aside" between the partition and main door. ;-( Proposal 2: dining tableat A may make the walk way "less friendly", as i plan to buy a 6-seater dining table. ;…

Dear Chong Boon Soon, Chong Boon Soon wrote: What is youradvise ifa house has a period 8 setting (which is good for 20 years beginning 2004) but also has a unfavourable influences such as facing T or Y? External Shapes and Form influence will always have more impact to an home compared to flying star or eight house influence. A house with good external shapes and form feng shui is a house is the key to enjoying a quantum leap in feng shui. That is why we keep stressing that a good house begins from the external environment. A house with good flying star feng shui only deals with luck within the four walls of your home. No matter how much you enjoy the luck, the luck …

Hi Adeline, Glad that you enjoyed our website. Firstly, this year is a Metal Rooster in a Wood Year. So the main influence is the Wood year influence. The element that your self element (Strong metal) destroys is your wealth. ie Metal destroy Wood, thus Wood is your wealth element. Given you are a Strong Metal, you will be able to benefit from this year. So it becomes auspicious for you. As a Strong metal, water helps to exhaust your excess Metal, while Fire also destroy your metal to reduce the excess Metal. So Water, Wood & Fire are all favourable for you. So this year will automatically be a good year for you. So if you plan to do anything important this would…

Dear Miss Quiss, This year, it is advisable not to renovate at South South East or 150 degrees (Tai Su) and the location in conflict i.e. East ... If you are doing renovation at the area, it is best to avoid, being around when the work is carried out at the East. The above is just consideration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jacqueline, Usually, if you can obtain, a natural dried out bottle gourd i.e. brown in colour. Is it possible to obtain this type of bottle gourd. Try to find the above first before, using others such as jade or silver - if possible. Although, this two type can be used. Between this two (jade or silver) `metal' silver is preferred over jade. Warmest Regards, Cecil

When applying the Compass School of Feng Shui or taking reference of each direction; one should locate the center-of-gravity of the home. From this centrepoint, locate the west compass direction (270 degrees). This will be the direction of The Grand Duke/Tai Sui of a site or home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
