Dear Rose, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 7:59 PM Subject: Green Dragon and White Tiger Sad to say, I usually try to avoid answering this question. This is because, this falls under the Shapes and Form School and it is best to be present to look at the location before providing any comments. Not that I do not `trust' your words but in order to provide a good assessment, one has to be physically present to `review' this type of `question'. Hope you understand. This is because unlike a `True' dragon or tiger where you can actually see the profile,…

Dear Lee Hui, lee hui wrote: I am confused on how to determine the "Green dragon" n "White tiger" direction. Should i determineinside the house or outside the house before i step into the house. pls advise.Thank you. This all depends on which frontage/facing direction you take to evaluate this concept. For example, if you take the living room frontage, then the frontage comes the front where the phoenix should be while the back is the tortise and the East side or Left side of the house should be the Green Dragon while the West side or Right side of the house should be the White Tiger. So the best thing you can do is first determine the frontage, then assign the four sym…

1. Please note that in the past, a good site is always influenced by the dragon with gentle embrace of the tiger (landscape). 2. For a burial site; often it is best to be situated on the SOUTH-SIDE of a hill and the burial plot faces south. This the big picture is the "landscape" not just the plot and it's surroundings if that is what you are trying to figure out. The key here is the "big" picture of a land... 3. Thus, a good burial site is a hill where all the cemetry plot faces south.

Dear Anon, Many years back, I had written on the issue of "long houses". For example, many years back, the long house e.g in Sarawak is pretty unique and quite similar to your case. However, their long house can even be longer than the 120 ft long as you had mentioned. Yes, unfortunately, between the pie and the grid, if it is a long house than the grid method is often preferred over the pie in your case. Thus, no choice, long and thin would be the better way to analyse the home vs the pie which is difficult to apply in such a type of home. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: I live in a house that is 18 ft wide and 120 ft long. When I use the Flying Star Pie me…

1. Yeah, hammering 3 nails isas what you had mentioned; not the norm. Or if I can be frank enough "weird". 2. Firstly, from a commonsense approach:needs lots ofstrength and often even hammering nails into wood is hard enough not to say hammering nails into the walls. 3. Symbolically, it may even be a double edgedsword: beforemoving into a new home: itmay even beconsidered inauspicious todriving three nails into one's home. Anonymous wrote: We were told that renovating the house on the 7thmonth is not auspicious and therefore our fengshui consultanttold us to hammer 3 nailson the wall near the window. 4. As youhad mentioned, if it seems odd to you; don't do it. 5. C…

Dear Tialen K, tialen k wrote: hello, I planted three tall thin trees together in a grouping, however I was told this was bad luck as typically incense is burned in groups of three for morning. thus the three trees symbolize the sticks of incense and therefore death. tialen k wrote: Is this correct?? I have seen groupings of three like this before as landscapers typically recommend this type of groupings. Yes, when we pray using joss stick, we normally use 3 joss stick. So, if you plants 3 thin plants, it is likely to resemble this 3 joss stick. So it is not so auspicious in general. How bad, really depends on how much far the 3 plants placed and how it looks from …

Dear Carina, Where possible, place plants especially on both sides of the balcony. If the plants flower this would be `great.' For cactus, you can still place them in the balcony. Although it has been frequently mentioned that it is not auspicious to do so. Do so, if you really liked them else, where possible (in my opinion) try not to `use' them if you can. For a balcony, so long as it is within the house, it can be considered in the living area especially if you have sliding doors and immediately get to see it. Frankly, placing cactus is quite a subjective issue. For some people who are not aware of Feng Shui, in my opinion, so far, I do not see any ill effects on them…

Dear Anthi, It is best to grow plants in a garden. In my opinion, for plants grown e.g. on the balcony, or interior of the house e.g. in an apartment/flat it would depend on the type of indoor plant. Not all outdoor or plants that require sunlight can be grown in the house. It would therefore be nice if one has an area in the flat or apartment for natural sunlight to flow and open space especially the balcony area where rain water can at times `splash' on them. For indoors, in my opinion, planting plants can be quite tedious if there is not enough sunligh. And one may often need to bring them out to sun. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anon wrote: Recently my mother consulted a geomancer on my home fengshui. After giving my birth information, I was told that my gua no. is 8 and I belong to the eath element. So the geomancer started to tell me to put in some colours which is favourable to eath element, such as red, orange and yellow. Then I tried your free report in this website and also was found out that my gua no. is indeed 8. Based on my pillars of destiny, I was told that I belong to the strong fire element and suitable colours would be those belong to earth or water elements and not the fire element colours as proposed by the geomancer. I am now very confused. Who should I listen to as …

Here is a question: The house I am looking at right now is the correct gua number for me. My number is 8 and the house number is 1151, which equals 8. You helped me with how to do this in my previous question. My question is this: Is is more important to be in a house with the appropriate gua number or is it more important to have the house in one of the four good directions - if the two are different (i.e. -the gua is good, but the direction is not so good). With my gua as 8, the house number equalling 8, the direction is barely…

Dear Noe, 1. Thank you for bring up this interesting question. 2. To understand better, we can generally say that what you had mentioned is in my opinion like comparing "an Apple with an Orange." 3. This is because if one look carefully; what is `missing' from the understanding is the " TIME PERIOD ". 4. If one looks carefully at say the GUA number and how it has been derived, it is based on a person's YEAR OF BIRTH. While a proper and very complete Pillars of Destiny Chart comprises of:- YEAR, MONTH, DAY AND TIME OF BIRTH. (This four items is what we commonly call FOUR PILLARS) as each pillar is represented by one of the time periods i.e. Year, Month, Day and Time of b…

Dear Fran?oise, 1. It is never wise to use Gua number to guage compatibility. 2. The biggest obvious reason is that `statistical' nightmare considering that between a pair or couple: such a compatibility is 50-50 percent chance. 3. Since, all of us belong to either East or West group. And majority of the time: it will end up either being " compatible e.g. East with East group or the other 50 percent of the time East with West group. 4. In the professional Ba Zi analysis; a better method is to look at compatibility in relation to ba zi. For example, Husband is a weak fire person. And wife is a strong water person. In such a situation, often, the dominant party is the wife.…

Dear Russ, 1. The start of the Chinese Lunar New Year for 1972 is 15 Feb 1972. 2. Since your birth date falls before the Chinese Lunar New Year on 22 Jan 1972, your lunar birth date should be:- a.. Solar Calendar: 22 Jan 1972 between b.. Lunar Calendar: 1971, 12th month, 7 day, between 3. Since your Year of birth for the Eight House calculation is 1971, it will be as our website calculator has generated Gua 2. 5. Since our online calculators has been extensively tested, it is very rare that it will be calculated wrongly. So the results from our website on this issue is correct. Hope that helps. 1. Yes, what you said is absolutely, correct! 2. As once we purchased a home (especially a built up home), we cannot just change it's environment nor the site. 3. Thus do or die, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has to be correct! 4.1 Yes, in addition to wrongly calculated ba zi; it is correct that we may even get the birthdates wrong. In Singapore, Malaysia, also, many do not report the birth of their children early - especially in the 1920's to 1940's. And some people only go to a police reporting station several weeks later and their birthdate is "stamped" that day! 4.2 This is why only the experts, are confident of using only the Ba Zi method, fully. But again, it make…

Dear Master, We would like to place a Guan Yin altar in our living room and hope you can kindly help us. Attached picture is our floor layout which shows our existing locations of built-in TV console, shoe rack, dinning table, sofa and cove light false ceiling (blue dotted line) etc. We basically have a very small living room and we are having a headache on where to place the altar. 1) It seems like location A (facing door) is the only location to place the altar (Orange box) and we have to also install a full height wall partition (black box) behind the altar. I was advised that the partition wall should be in-line with the wall (dotted-black lines) as a rule of thum…

Dear William, Frankly, there is no harm in hanging a painting of guan yin facing the main door. Usually, it is hang in the living room area. Although the painting of guan yin does not have it's eyes "dotted", it is still best to avoid:- 1. letting the painting face the dining table 2. have it's back to a toilet wall or share a toilet wall 3. avoid facing into any of the bedrooms. Warmest Regards, Cecil
