In general, it looks OK. Other than it can be exposed to the northern islands or islets of Indonesia, and it can be exposed to tsunami's.

Hi Cecil, I like to applaud the generosity and kindness that you have displayed here to someone that is met with such a turn of event. I can understand how Elaine feel at this moment as I am also a casualty of such fate myself. I do believe in Cause and Effect, and this seed that you have planted will definitely yield many good returns for your kindness and benevolent action. I personnally has experienced many well known and renowned FS master in Asia and the first reply to my plead was the pricing structure instead how they can help someone in distress. You are the first that I have come across in the last 24 months that is concerned with the problem of the person rather…

Dear Anon, This is a good question. Actually, what I am referring is Sha Qi due to poison arrows ie. poison arrows aimed at the main entrance for example. Or when your main entrance door directly face the a backdoor or windows. One has therefore to be careful that this concept of `what you can't see is no longer a threat'. The above is meant for visual objects and not meant to be applied to underground courses etc... It is totally different. It is good that you pointed out this and it is hoped that the above clearly explains the distinction. Another further distinction is because undergound water is considered `vapours' or the emission of vapours. It has been proven in i…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have a very small bedroom and I can only sleep either facing north (head pointing north and feet south) or facing south (head poiting south and feet to the north). My kua number is 6. Which of these positions would be better for me? Generally, the guidelines for the bed position should be:- 1. It should not fall in the unfavourable positions based on this and should generally be placed in the best shape and form layout base on this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-bedroom.htm 2. Then among the best shapes and form placement of the room, you choose the one that falls closest to your best directions based on your ei…

Dear Cindy, When it comes to Feng Shui, one has to take note of two ingredients:- 1. Sit facing a good direction for study. (You can make use of the free reports at http://www.geomancy.net to generate a chart for your daughter. There is a free report specific to the placement of study postion. 2. Another critical factor is based on Shapes and Forms i.e. and it has to do with light filtering (or sometimes becoming a glare) into the windows to the bedroom. 2.1 For example, if the bedroom happens to face West directly. And there are no other buildings or trees to block out this sunlight. It can be difficult to do work if our table is against a window facing such a strong li…

Dear Caroline, Further to what I had mentioned:- Make sure that the corner of the pond is not aimed at "vital areas" e.g. main door entrance. In fact, in general Feng Shui, many practitioners would recommend the placement of the water feature on the (left) side of the garden. Since the right side is said to bring with it extra-marital affairs. (Where one stands inside the house looking outwards). Contrary to popular belief, it should not be placed directly in-front of the main entrance. Or blocking it. Again IN GENERAL, many FS practitioners would favour the placement of a water position (in harmony with the compass direction.) Thus, many FS practitioners favour the p…

These are some considerations: 1. There are no cures for facing a good or bad direction. Why? Commonsense says that you either face a good direction or not. There is no if's or but's, here. 2. Are there known cures available for this theory of good directions? Check out this link:The Three-Step-Approach 3. You have to apply other concepts like the Flying Star etc.. to try and maximise luck from elsewhere....

So long as the "top-view" it ain't look like a missing corner; whatever material that one uses to outline the house with say glass or concrete is in-material.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am planning to buy a landed house, front facing South, backyard is facing North. The housing area will have 200+ houses. It's at the middle of hill. The hill top is facing North. Behind the hill is a durian plantation farm and a grave site. The distance of the grave site to the house is about 500m. Will the grave site has bad effect to the house owner? Is it advisable to buy or avoid buying this house? Generally, having a graveyard close to your home isn't advisable. The fact, that you are concerned and are asking this question, will also mean other people who will be interested in your property will have the same concern. As such, you wil…

Dear Cecil thanks for your prompt reply on these matters. Will call you for an official consulation soon on office space. I am actually considering setting up a website on property and was wondering if you might wish to be featured in the links pageor offer permision to reproduce some of yourcontent in return for links/advertisement for your site. I think more people need to know about your services! For example, when people look for a house, they need to specify what direction the door is facing to determine what sort of a house it is, but I'm want to give the correct FENGSHUI definition of a house, i.e I do not know if the correct way to look at direction of a door is …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the question asked, may have more dimensions than what you had mentioned, below. For example, other major considerations like: 1. Is the stove facing a good direction (often should face a good direction suitable to the woman "head" of the home.) 2. Best to avoid placing the stove directly at the NW compass direction. This is known as "fire at heaven's gate" - considered by many FS practitioners as a very inauspicious location. For the stove as well as an oven or even a toaster oven, here. 3. If the kitchen is located at the South (fire element) compass direction of a home; it is OK to have the stove facing a water position. But if the kitche…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui; more importantly, the object should not: look fierce, seems "hungry"; thin or skinny. That sort of thing. It is quite subjective; but overall, since this is a family home, consult with family member about their opinion of the object. The so called "lucky cat" is not a Chinese origin. It originates from Japan. Yeah, the one where one of it's limbs (paws) waving. This "lucky cat" looks more like a pussy cat.. Thus, it would be a joke if somehow someone mistook it for a lion or leopard or jaguar of sorts... *smile*

Further to what I had mentioned, 1. I can only think of one acceptable logic for placing a piggy bank at a prominent location: this has more to do with psychology. 2. Usually, if someone tells us that a specific location is our wealth corner; we would consciously try to keep the place clear of other items. 3. And often when we pass thru this location, we may either sublimally think of money (earning money) or happy seeing money on our table. 4. Other than this explanation, it does not mean literally, by doing so, e.g. placing multiple $50 dollars or more notes or stacking fake notes into this bowl or piggy bank. Money cannot automatically fall down a hole thru the sky la…

Dear Master If my husband as the breadwinner chooses a house facing his favourable directions, i.e. North or East, this will meanunfavourable directions for my children and me, i.e. Death or Disasterfor my 2 children and Spook or Irritation for myself. Although favouable direction bedrooms can be allocated to my children, I'm still quite concerned over the effects on them. Should we or can we still choose a house that is facing North or East then?

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Understand it's not a good year to do any renovation. However, really need to paint the house as its in bad shape. If changing of windows is required, can it be done this year. Hope to receive an advice soon. Good day and many thanks. Actually, all painting isn't that of a major renovation. Furthermore, it looks more like a repair or maintenance work. Just choose a good date and time to start your renovation. At most before your renovation just knock on the flo…

The viewing of a new flat during the seven-month ghost festival may be considered inauspicious due to cultural beliefs

IN SUMMARY " Viewing a new apartment during the seven-month ghost festival might be seen as unlucky because of cultural beliefs about the spirits of the departed. It's wise to consider local traditions and feelings when scheduling such events during this time." - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net +++ Dear Jeffrey, 1. I believe there are different views on what actions to take or avoid during the 7th month. 2. The key point is to refrain from traveling or being away from home (like camping, for instance). 3. Personally, I think it's still 'acceptable' to look at a house. However, some FS professionals might not fully agree with this. Thus, we…

1. I have some clients and apparently they had already purchased unit(s) facing the canal. They purchased before engaging my service. And so happens facing the canal side. One of them is a lecturer in one of the Universities in Singapore. But if Feng Shuied properly can still sustain the "impact" of this issue. 2. Ideally, based on Flying Star Feng Shui, the facing direction of the busier side is Period 8 West 2/3 facing which has double auspicious #8's and a good future prosperity star #1. Thus technically, the west facing (busier Bukit Timah Road side is suppose to have better qi) that is correct. 3. While the canal side or East2/3 has double auspicious #8's wasted …

Dear Cecil, Can you define, what can be a screen (i.e what material) For instance can a plastic / cloth screen running the entire length of the kitchen door, can evade the inauspicious effect of the "Kitchen Door" facing the "Main Door". The problem is that I have a one room flat, where I do not have any leverage to do any structural alteration. Kind Regards, A. Vincent
