Thatk you for your answer. My building is built in 1975 - period 6 and the FS for my son's bedroom (bedroom is on the West sector)are: 4MS/8BS/8WS. In that combination is yellow carpet OK for him (weak earth person)? You said the red (fire element) is more a acceptable. I know, but how much red I have to put in his room? 33,3% of whole room, or some details will be OK? Like you see, the bedroom is on the West (metal element), Metal exhaust Earth... I have a blanket for his bed in yellow/dark-red color combination... Dark-red - is that still fire element? I am sorry to bother you, but it is very important for me. Thank you in advance, Dragana

1. The true nature of what you mentioned or "the statement" has more to do with pure landscape. 2. Where the best landscape is not only the academic sayingof the entrance door where one sees the dragon and ??? where is the tiger? 3.What it really is suppose to be is a good site is where one can see not just the green dragon but a white tiger. And the key ingredient is thatboth are in gentle embrace. 4. This is the key success factorof a good site based on this concept of Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 5. Thus: to be frank: "so what if thedragon is ... " but where is the tiger? in gentle embrace! Anonymous wrote: Dear Cecil Many thanks for this excellent site I have a d…

In feng shui, you should correct whatever you can until they are not possible to be corrected. In your case, since it is no longer correctable, you can only attempt to enhance other areas such as the colour scheme of the room such that it favours yourself if your occupy the room alone. (ie. weak wood person, can paint the room blue=water to make yourself stronger). Of if you share a room with another person, then choose the element or colour of the decor that will fit both person. Dear ed Gin, Flying Star house number is only used to check whether a house unit is auspicious or not. This is particularly useful in determining which of the two units say #13-79 or #11-79 has better luck. The descriptions of the impact does not really occur. Whether or not you have such stars depends very much on the flying star analysis of your home more than a house number. So there should be nothing to worry about. Hope that helps. Dear Karen, If you have around 3 "sha qi" then, usually there are two alternatives: 1. a six-hollow rod wind chime 2. a convex mirror Either one can be used at the balcony area. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Karen Call wrote: Hopefully you will be able to suggest a remedy or two to help me with the 'towers' visible from my livingroom windows. I have french doors opening onto a west facing balcony. Directly behind the rooftops of my "across neighbors" is a tall church spire and further behind and to the right is a second tall tower. Also in the garden of my downstairs neighbor (3 floors down) is a tall evergreen tree -- its pointy top is also in the line of view fr…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, i have a question regarding the placement of my family photo in my living room. Currently, my family photo is placed on a wall in my living room which is facing the entrance to my kitchen, which also faces the windows in the kitchen (the windows of a normal kitchen ina HDB flat). Please remove it from the current location. It is extremely bad luck to face the family photo facing the kitchen because the kitchen got lots of knife and forks etc which is like cutting the family. 1. Yes, fortunately, two things are in place:- 1.1. It is far better in this layout plan i.e. the frontside is not at the rear of the home. This is much better than the frontage facing the "T" junction. 1.2 Yes, the landscaping with young trees does help (alot; tremendously) your plot of land. 1.3 In addition, with your car porch and garage, it is good for these to be at the back of the home. With all the above three considerations, and that the young trees will ultimately mature and grow bigger, this is a plus point. Thus in my opinion, although you have the "T" junction, the above three points 1.1 to 1.3 overweighs this inauspicious "T" junction. Anonymous w…

Overall, depending on the external environment (especially the site and location); under Flying Star Period 8, a NE2 home generally enjoys a Parent string especiallyif the frontage has a "mountain" and the back... "clear space" effect. Health especially for the 1st year is a concern but overall, the house may enjoy favourable wealth luck. The suggestion or advise is for a holistic approach to Feng Shui: try to do a full Feng Shui audit : to neutralise the leaks and areas where qi can be improved on, try to do so. The remedy will depend on individual home and individual sector(s) of the home. We just bought a " very inauspicious" house according to the flying star theo…

What you mentioned reminds me of this: "The Ground Is Best Fertilized By Those Who Dwell On It".... Other sayings are: "A photo tells a thousand words... all text... means nothing".....

1. This year, whatever you do; don't fill in or "dig earth" at SE sector. As this year, the five yellow and Grand Duke is at this sector. 2. In theory, so long as you don't do major hacking / drilling at SE, adding a fountain, at that sector is still ok.

Honestly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. It is a holistic approach to harmony, health and balance of qi. Scientifically, Feng Shui can still be used, but this is "troublesome" especially for newbies or anyone not family with it. As for selling, if one knows how to: first locate where the home has bad star numbers like #3 , #5 and #7, there is a higher chance based on Feng Shui to improve the luck for selling the home.

Dear Anon, Some of the major considerations in the placement of an altar are: 1. It must not face a dining table. The rationale here is that, it would be considered disrespectful to eat in front of Guan Yin. Imagine the god salivating while one is eating. 2. It must not be placed on the same wall as the toilet (especially the toilet bowl). 3. Try not to face into a bedroom. This is considered unclean (looking into bedroom[s]/ 4. Where possible the figurine should not be facing the main door. We do not want to the god to be the security guard. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Red is always associated with auspiciousness for the Chinese. In weddings, a red invitation card is sent out. Some newly wedded couples have a Chinese red double happiness symbol placed in their room. And even their pillow cases are embroided with the double happiness symbol. Traditional bride wear a red dress with a veil covering their eyes. Here, one can understand why red lanterns are used in pairs to decorate or line up a walkway. Red in this case, also symbolises auspiciousness. Contrast this to white or off-site coloured lanterns used during a funeral. Therefore, colours have a significance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations: 1. In theory, under the Five Elements concept: 1.1. Wood fuels fire. 1.2. adding fire to fire 2. In general, Geomancy is considered as belonging to the wood element. There are lots of description with regads to Geomancy. And it range from "Healing" to "growth" - much likea tree suppose to grow etc.. 3. Adding Fire to Fire. 3.1 One of the key description of the Fire element is sales or marketing.. Hopefully, if you should venture into this field; don't be corrupted and end up going the lucrative way of selling products in the Name of Fung Sway. 3.2 There are lots of examples; in my opinionof Geomancers or book authors that if you trace thei…

Dear Anon, To a varying degree, there are many types of dragons. Some are `English' in origin e.g. those you see in the show `Dragon Heart' with Sean Connery as the `dragon's' features and voice. There are many other `types' of dragon where they come from. The `traditional' Chinese dragon from what I understand does not have wings. For example, if one has the opportunity to see a dragon `dance' where performers hold the head, body and tail and move around gracefully (similar to the fashion where u see a lion dance). Therefore, I have not come across any dragons with winds as what u have mentioned. What matters is the symbolism e.g. a dragon with our without wings (by defi…

Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, there is really no quick fix solutions. Feng Shui is only about our Earth Luck. But, under Feng Shui one can try to `influence' or have a balance in our Earth Luck. Pillars of Destiny is used to map our heaven luck and by understanding our Pillars of Destiny, some say that we can change 60 percent of it to our advantage. In your case, if you are doing it yourself and not enaging a Feng Shui consultant, then you must: 1. Understand the Shapes and Form School and try to apply it to your home. 2. Under the compass school of Feng Shui, check whether how suitable your house is to you and your family. Check particularly the main entrance (for the breadw…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1. Overall, we are only considering the Year of birth sign of the three persons. 2. In general, under the Year of birth, since the three persons, share the same `birth' sign, it is considered that (very generally again) that their characteristics are considered similar for e.g. a dog is faithful and loyal. 3. Like its `Western cousin' the Zodiac sign, it can filter down to the Month of birth, day of birth and time of birth which may be different for each of the three persons. 4. Another `School' of thought is based on balance. One should not have too many of the same element together. This does not mean that it is no good to have all `do…

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, I did a SEARCH under this forum for: Romance interpreation And found this old forum message:- Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Topics) on Friday, March 10, 2000 02:15 AM Dear Anon, The Flying Star has: 1. The Base Star. 2. The Water and Mountain Stars. Glyn correctly pointed out that the Base Number #8 (North East, Weak Earth) is correct to represents Romance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Under the `81' interpretations: Mountain Star #1 and Water Star #4 which is similar to Mountain Star #4 and Water Star #1 signifies the following:- "Successful sales, become famous,…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I do not think of myself as a weak person, however, I have learned that I am a weak Fire. What exactly does this mean? Frankly, a weak person does not mean that person is weakling, nor does a strong person mean you are a strong person. It is just one of the two classification for what element you belong to when you relate yourself to the environment. For example, an element like fire can either be a weak fire or a strong fire. That state basically helps to define what kinds of element is good or bad for you. In turn, once you know this proces, you can easily relate the what careers, what colours, what direction, what people will be consider…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I got a plot with cut on North West Side. What could be the remedy for that? For a house, you still can correct with mirrors or creating a rock or garden feature to symoblically cover the missing corner. That is when you view it from the top view, it looks like the missing corner is covered. Generally, you can't correct a missing plot of land. Anyway, even if the plot of land is odd, as long as your house isn't odd shaped or missing, it should be fine. Hope that helps. 1. Please be careful. There is no known crystal or stones that have such magic powers. 2. Maybe, we should not be reading too many Superman cartoons of kryptonite and it's effect on him. 3. In Singapore, many people were conned into buying a "magic" stone which claims to be able to cure cancer and other ailments. These victims learned the hard way with their hard earned money. 4. Cavet Emptor! Let the buyer, beware! 5. Remember: Charity begins at home. Might as well keep the money for a rainy day or bring family members for a sunday lunch treat! Why should we line the pockets of con-persons with our hard earned money. 6. Shhhhhh! Let you in on a secret... the Mo…
