Dear Alenac Chua, Alenac Chua wrote: I could not understand what you are getting at based on the compass reading of pointing to the centre of the main door in your column of how to read the compass of 15 degrees differential. Dear Sumatra, 1. To side-track, for those who are interested in some pictures or short write ups on `The Sterling' which is a condominium in a triangle plot, feel free search for the above topic under the conference: Photo Tours of Interest with Pictures. Use the " SEARCH " feature under this Forum to search for " Sterling ". This is one exceptional traingle plot that has some units that have excellent Feng Shui. 2. For a triangle plot of land, if it is pointy at the backyard, usually, a lamp is placed at the pointy area to difuse the triangle. 3. Landscaping. For example, semi-circular or landscaped area where one can grow different types of plants within the landscaped …

Hi Anon, Unfortunately, it is going to be difficult for end users to be able to tell what is really right or wrong. This is not the only theory that I have seen which is different ways to apply, even other concepts like flying star, eight house, ba zi also have lots of variation. The best advise I can give you is, for the internet, it is easy for anyone to write an article on Feng Shui, more importantly, you should always check up on who wrote the article and how much experience they have on the matter. I mean no point taking advise from an article written by someone who just got interest in the subject and thus written the article as they will probably not be able to f…

Dear Anon, 1. Traditionally in Feng Shui, a work or study direction(s) depends on one's date of birth. For example, Male, Mr Sample Ficitious Person born on 19 December 1975 at 11.30am:- Work Position Report This report is generated for: Sample Ficitious Person Gender: Male Conversion of Date of Birth: Solar Calendar: 19 Dec 1975 between 11.00 a.m. to 12.59 p.m. Lunar Calendar: 1975, 11th month, 17 day, between 11.00 a.m. to 12.59 p.m. Please check that the above details are correct before proceeding. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Does a block number of a flat/apartment have any significance in feng shui audit? The feng shui luck comes from the house interior and exterior surrounding layout. So the location of where the block is located and how it faces is more important than the unit number or apartment number. So you should focused a good layout or good surrounding rather than just the number. You should only consider the unit number only after you have made sure the house and surrounding are good. ie if there is two units of the same layout and facing direction, but one on higher or lower floor. Then you can check which unit number is better. Otherwise, block or ap…

Dear Anthony, Anthony L. wrote: Hi guys, I bought the standard bundle and I tried the PAID: House Hunting: Most Suitable & Auspicious House Facing Report. But the report is based on period 7 (1984 - 2003) while now we're in period 8. Are the differences between the periods significant? How do I view this in period 8 format? I look forward to any comments/answers. Thank you! Firstly, you need to know that the report will generate the best house direction depending on the house profile you created under. This means if you create a period 7 house profile, then it will generate a report that is period 7. If you create a profile under period 8, then it will generat…

1. It is uncommon, but can still be painted black. 2. Do take note that under the Five Elements concept, water element colours are: Blue, black or grey. 3. In the I-Ching, water symbolises "difficulty". Thus, (not black) but rather, avoid painting the entire ceiling "blue" or tones of blue. As this represents "water" i.e. diffculty.

Dear AA, There are certain things in life you cant demand. Love is one of them. If you are destined to find love now or in 2000 depends on your heaven luck. I know you have tried every thing possible to find one (that is your man luck). So why don't you do a pillar of destiny chart and see what is in store for you now and also in 2000 and then if they are favorable then you will find love. Good luck. Anon

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I u/stand that this yr 2006, the Grand Duke is at NW 292-307 which happens to be at my living room and I hv told all family members not to sit facing this direction. It is more important that you do not disturb the grand duke by having any major renovation done in this sector as this will immediately disturb him. As for facing him, though it is not advisable to facing him, this has lesser impact than having renovations done. So where possible avoid it, but more importantly avoid any renovation being done in this sector forthis year. Dear Susse, Susse Persson wrote: How do I find my wealth Corner ? Frankly, there is no such single wealth corner. Each house is unique, and the way to find your weal sector is to find where is the current prosperity star in the house (ie a period 7 house, mountain star 7 is your pian cai, while water star 7 is your zheng cai.). So you should make use of the free flying star report in our member area to determine your house wealth sector. This sector changes from time to time. For personal wealth sector or corner, you make use of either the Ba Zi (ie a weak water wealth element is the element water destroy ie Earth)…

Dear Anon, Frankly, due to seasonal changes and like you had mentioned, your weather condition, if trees cannot really grow the second half, there is not much one can do here. It is difficult to find a subsitute for real trees and plants. In doors, some Feng Shui practitioners believe that artificial plants can `subsitute' live plants. But again, this is for `cosmetic' look/decoration only. I believe in the past, NASA had carried out experiments on plants in the interior of offices and found plants are `beneficial'. Recently, I read another article, saying that plants are `ineffective' inside the home or office i.e. to absorb `pollutants'. Therefore, one has to have an op…

Dear Ken, Please see below:- -- Extract from a recent e-mail on auspicious measurements -- Further to what I had mentioned; For the surface area of your `Feng Shui friendly' tables or for anyone wanting to manufacture Feng Shui friendly tables can use this explanation:- (One Feng Shui foot is nearly equal to an imperial foot. One Feng Shui foot is roughly equal to 43 cms.) Description of tables with multiples of 17 inches (lenght x width):- THE MAGICAL 17 INCH FACTOR "One Feng Shui foot was derived from the side of a square, where the length of the diagonal of a square is the square root of two. In the West, this is known as the `magic square'. Thus multiples of 17 inche…

Dear Kathelyne Feng Shui has many distinctive flavours: 1. Poison arrows 2. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui 1. Poison arrows These are issues that cause issues such as sharp corners etc... 2. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui What you had mentioned i.e. a bedroom above a kitchen has more to do with "commonsense". This is because,(usually) thereseems to be a higher probability of a fire starting in a kitchen then anywhere else. And because of this, some would thus feel that having abedroom above the kitchen not a good idea! However, frankly a fire can be started anywhere else in a home such as carelessly leaving behind a lighted cigarette butt or ash etc... 3. …

1. If you have pictures of both sides would be good. 2. Majority of homes have 4 sides. If it is standalone home (bungalow) then 4 sides. If it is a semi-detached home than 3 sides to consider as the "facing" direction. For terrace home only 2 sides. 3. Often, if the "back" of the home has the washingarea/ washing machines, kitchen (wet and or dry) and rooms said as spare, guestor maid'sroom and toilets; then most likely, this area standing inside the home facing out of this areais not the"facing" direction". 4. Facing direction shouldoften preferably to "light" airy and bright. No need to measure windows, a visual look of how many openings and how much light comes in …

Dear Madan, 1. Under Period 7, a Double 7 is considered auspicious. 2. Thus, if the house continues to remain under Period 7 and there is a Double 7, then it is still auspicious house. 3. For example, in the Year 2005, if there are no major renovations made, a house built under 1984 to 2003 will continue to have a birth chart based on Period 7. 4.If so happens that this is a Double 7 (under Period 7), the house will continue to enjoy this Double 7. 5. However, in a period 8, 9 etc.. house, and it so happens that there is a Double 7 e.g. at the main entrance, than this is a different matter altogether. 6. In the same `order' under Period 1, Double 1's is very auspicious;…

Dear Anon, Basically, in terms of bed placement. You should follow these priority:- 1. It is most important that the bedroom is located at the one of the 4 good directions based on the Eight House concept. Meaning that if you divide the house from the centerpoint, your bedroom should be located West (in your case). As long as the bedroom is in a good sector, the issue of the bed position becomes less of an issue, as regardless of where you actually sleep, you are still sleeping in a suitable sector of the house. 2. As rooms are small now-a-days, so it is frankly, very difficult for most people to have the luxuary to arrange furnitures so that it can fit the best placem…
