Hi Master, Currently this is my 地主 setup which is quite "bare". As i'm going to shift into new house, my "new" location for the 地主 will be directly facing front door and i'm intended to put beneath such table. I wonder is it ok? Current The table i intended to get. Is there a measurement (width) i need to follow?

Dear Con, Actually, the greater "value" of a good Feng Shui apartment lies in the common saying: "Location, location, location". In fact, this is often the most critical key success in selecting a home or an apartment. From a "cultural" perspective; as you had mentioned, in particular, Cantonese (dialect) group do not like 4. But often, they do not like multiples of it e.g. 44 or 444. Otherwise, 104 (without looking) at the house no, seems often not a major issue. More importantly, bring along family members to the new apartment and ask for their comments on the location. This often is better. I personally feel that these are better key success-factors, than s…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1) Iunderstand that I amastrong water element. How do I go about reducing this element and increasing other elements which I am weak at? In what ways? Should I avoid going forany other water related activities such as swimming? You should go by the Strong Water element characteristics. As a Strong Water means you generally have too much Metal and Water which makes you overly strong as such Metal and Water becomes your unfavourable element. While Wood which exhaust your excess Water and Earth which destroy your Wood help to control you excess Water which makes you Strong. These element becomes your favourable element. In addition, your weal…

Frankly there are some materials on this subject, but are scattered all over the website: 1. Mirror facing Dining table Try to use one piece or three pieces instead of two equal sized ones. If we can visualise, two pieces when placed against the dining table is slicing the middle of (or spliting) the middle of the dining table, inauspicious. 2. There are many other exampes of mirrors in a bedroom, facing entranceetc...

Dear Andrea, To correctly apply Feng Shui, this involves a holistic approach. And the key elements of the holistic approach is the Shapes and Forms (external, interior) as well as the placement and another critical factor is the birth-chart-of-the home. Such as also using the Compass School reading of the interior of the home. Unfortunately, much of what you had given is piecemeal. And it is anyone's guess as to what are the real "leaks-in-the-home" right now. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Peck Wun, Yes, it is preferred that an altar does not face the main entrance. Here, it is considered disrespectful as you are asking guan yin to guard your door for you. If you can, (if possible) although the altar can be located facing the main door, where possible, try to see if guan yin be facing towards a wall instead of directly, facing the main door. Avoid, tilting guan yin but as mentioned above, see if you can allow her to face e.g the wall next to the main entrance. Or alternatively, change the location (if possible) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kum Loong, San He Water Theory i.e. San He or known as Mountain Water theory is very much based on Shapes and Form i.e. Water classics concepts. Majority of the concepts are summarised under:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/wcourse.htm I recalled, sometime back Lilian Too wrote a book about Water Dragon Classic or something like that. Perhaps you can check out amazon.com ... Warmest Regards, Cecil

What is the weakness of the Gua (Eight House Theory)? I strongly believe, your fingers should do more "walking". Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. :These are some of the considerations:- 1. What you mentioned, below comes under another concept. 2. Even under "that concept" mentioned above; rarely anyone follows it - unless one is truly a fanatic of such things. (That concept speaks aabout "being cautious" when travelling ..eg. south.. but in no where does it say you MUST not travel e.g. south) 3. Under the 4 Good and Bad directions; only those who have "screws" loose or the lunatic kind may put the 4 Good and Bad + directions together and come up with such a (looney tunes) idea of LINKING the two together. This is no brain-storm. But rather this is instead a NO-brainer idea. 4. Drawing a parallel to such things; say…

I am a university student about to be 30, this is my 6th year of a degree, I am a single mother of 4. My studies have been difficult and very exhausting, I am taking longer than others. I am intelligent, I have difficulties concentrating at home, for various reasons (children), stress, sleepy and time management. I just moved into a brand new apartment building, on the 14th floor, I am paying very special attention to the North and North East. I have a wood desk I got given to me today it will be delivered whenever I am ready, however I am almost scared I will place it the most negative of the three options I have...Although I do not know which position is the most negati…

Dear Anon, Frankly, I am not too sure about the name of the plant. So far, the plant continues to have flower buds and as soon as one set of flowers `die', the new set of flowers bloom all year round. Warmest Regards, Cecil

It would be better to chart out a Flying Star chart. If so, yes, in general, it may be placed at a MS#9 provided there are no #2 or #5 within that sector. Alternatively, such a light can help to "burn" or neutralise #3.

Dear Anon, 1. You do have an interesting point. 2. Since this is "thought provoking" anyone wants to make a guess before, I make my comments? Ladies and Gentlemen, put on your thinking caps:) 3. It would be interesting to hear who has the "most logical" answer to your question. 4. On another issue, I was toying with this idea:- Since this present forum will be 1 year old on the last day of 1999; I was thinking of e.g. issuing a special commemorative Millenium Certificate from Geomancy.Net to e.g. the Top Ten users of this forum &/or the Top Five message posters (other than Robert and myself). If anyone have any feedback or suggestions, please login to the forum and po…

1. Frankly, in many instances, there is no really need to cleanse the figurines. It is like akin to "nice-to-do" and not a "must-do". 2. In addition, the key success factor is often to make sure that whatever we place at our front door if possible should be:- 2.1 well nourished - figurines... not thin or skeletonal look 2.2 It is even better if these figurines have a "happy face". It is akin to the concept of "greeted" by a happy face! Imagine many of us who rear dogs... when the owner comes back... "that kind of feeling".

Dear Denise, Here’s a refined version of your text: A fish tank is best placed in a "water" star position, as recommended by the Flying Star Theory. Even without a detailed Feng Shui assessment, the living room is generally a suitable location, especially where there is ample open space—this aligns well with water star principles. Ideally, position the fish tank against a wall in the living room and keep the surrounding area furnished with low furniture to maintain harmony. If the toilet already occupies a water star position, keeping the fish tank there can be acceptable, provided it is of reasonable size and fits comfortably. The key is that both you and …

Dear David, David Sim wrote: Hi My birth element is weak water. Is it advisable to lay wooden laminates on the floor as it is unfavourable element? Generally, in any house the flooring/furnitures can usually only be tiles, wood, metaletc. So not likely to completely avoid a certain element. You can minimise it by choosing alternatively material or adding carpets for example. More importantly, it is the colours of the overall room that will impact the luck of the room rather than just the material of the floor. Hope that helps. Dear Wendy, Frankly, although some books had mentioned about the ills of living close to high-tension wires; So far, from what I understand there is never a scientic proof that it brings harm to those close-by. Thus often, this is `mind' over `matter'. The only consequence under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is that the trunk or pole or rod, should not slice into the home. If so, this is sha qi. Frankly, there were recent claims that some handphones had high (microwave radiation). More likely, if this is true, of the ill effects, we most likely can get sick or run down by a "car" than die from high-tension wires. Thus, it does not seem logical to worry too much about this.…

Dear Anon, The best option here is - not to cause more problems with the profile of the development. Here, try to as possible, have the shape of the building in a rectangular shape. Avoid odd shapes like U, circle shapes etc... Proper landscaping of the development can help. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Master, With regards to Q2, if the house is ?L? shaped with extended NW sector. In that case, will it means NW be strong in metal, then? If yes, even if the NW sector has #2 & #5 plus base star #9, will it be neutralized or still the 6-coins metal is needed? Please advise & thank you. Tim

Generally, the safe colour to use for all rooms where a full flying star analysis isn't considered is always to use very light (near to off-white or white) colours. This colour will be able to neturalise any inauspicious Wood or Earth star under the flying star. In order to enhance your luck (be i…
