Dear master, My life became miserable since i have moved. Although i like the house, i think it is totally wrong regarding feng shui.I started a new real estate and architectural design business last month, and couldn't get one client yet. My relation with my partner is worse than ever.I read every single word on your site about facing directions of a house, but i am still a bit confused.I live on the 2nd floor of a 2 storey building. In this case i should take main door as the facing direction. however, there is nothing but the adjacent wall of the next house here. all the windows and the street is on the opposite side. It is very confusing. In either case, if take the…

Dear Lui Seong Yee, Lui Seong Yee wrote: Recently we are given a jade figurine of Dragon and Phoenix by my in law. The problem is when we get the figurine out of the box, the right wing of the phoenix was broken. Generally, for the most Chinese, it is generally inauspicious to receive receive anything that is broken.Whether it is a plate or figurines or decorative items. Nothing you can really do about it except probably not to display it. As it is not really good to display something that is broken. Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: My best directions for my desk to face are SW and NE. The way my office is situated, for me to move my desk, it would sit diagonally. However, I thought that anything situated like that would not be good feng shui. What is the best possible thing to do in a situation like this? Thank you in advance. It is nice to get everything suitable to your personal feng shui. However, sometimes due to constraints this might not be possible. Especially, for office sitting directionis limited unless you own a room to yourself. Often, most people do not have much choice or flexibility in such changes. From what you mentioned, the current position woul…

Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: Thank you for your reply. However, even in my human luck, my family is not that close, unfortunately. The closest person to me, my little brother, just passed away. My other brother is in the Navy and travels all the time - has been to Iraq numerous times and helped in the tsunami (the Abraham Lincoln). Anyways, I also am single . I do have some very close friends, whose parents are wonderful to me in a loving way. So, perhaps that counts. I hope so anyways. Yes, any good friends will also count. Just that in most cases family bonding if any would probably be stronger. But that does not mean that good friends will have weaker relationsh…

Dear Patty Rown, patty rown wrote: I am moving into a small apartment and the rules are no painting, wallpaper and of course I can not relocate any appliances. Given that you mentioned that you have lots of limitations, it is going hard to be able to suggest anything. And thus, you may have to live with some of the flaws you cannot correct. patty rown wrote: My kitchen is narrow and small and the stove and sink are facing each other,(stove on one side, the sink on the other). Edited by Robert: I think in such cases you should either get a professional analysis such as a Can or Cannot But review, rather than posting in forum for advise. Cecil is currently very busy as such he hasn't had time to review most of the postings in the forum. Furthermore, each home is unique as such it can be difficult to advise you accurately whether a unit is good or not unless you check whether it suits you or whether it until an analysisis done. I'm worried. Could you advise if Lakeholmz Block 90 Units 20? In fact, we intend to get the lower floor units. The pool faces us as a portrait.

Dear Fanty Fang, Fanty Fang wrote: I want to build house in near future. I want to have water pond since my element is strong fire. My question is where should i build that water pond (facing what direction) ? Frankly, I never like to answer such questions, this is because the only true way to determine which is the best location to place any water feature is to first have a detailed analysis done on the home to find out where are the auspicious stars and how is the surrounding environment. Only then will you know exactly where will be the most beneficial place to place a water feature that can effectively trap wealth. To simply tell you that it is good to place here a…

They been stay at a corner for 2days. Why this will happen? There isn't anything about Moth and Feng Shui as far as I know of. So I too agree that this is more like insects taking shelter rather than any particular signs. So don't think there is anything to worry about. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Does a block number of a flat/apartment have any significance in feng shui audit? The feng shui luck comes from the house interior and exterior surrounding layout. So the location of where the block is located and how it faces is more important than the unit number or apartment number. So you should focused a good layout or good surrounding rather than just the number. You should only consider the unit number only after you have made sure the house and surrounding are good. ie if there is two units of the same layout and facing direction, but one on higher or lower floor. Then you can check which unit number is better. Otherwise, block or ap…

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Question: If someone's house number is, as an example, 90 and their Kua number is 1, is there any benefit to penciling in a 1 to make the house number appear as if it is 190 or 901 (which would add up to a 1) even though it is really not? However, in your mailing address it will still be written as 90 right? So it is not going to really help instead it may make your postman frustrating to locate your home. As mentioned in many other post, auspicious number is really subjective and different people have different preference. I can tell you some people dislike 4, but there are others who will love it. The luck of a home does not come from …

Dear Steve, Steve Jhun wrote: I'm a first timer on the theories of Feng Shui and I really enjoy this site. I'm planning to purchase a home. Based on the 8 house chart, I'm a SE person, and the true front door faces NE. However, I recall reading somewhere that if I primarily use the garage door entrance to the home, I should be using that as the Front Door. Firstly, glad that you enjoyed the website. For the facing direction of the house, you need to first check if your home is an apartment or landed property. We have laid down some new guidelines so that users will not be so confused about the facing direction anymore:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-c…

An example is the below: http://www.fengshui-emporium.com/C04.htm Would this be an example of a working remedial measure for the 5? Yes, that is considered one of the traditional 6 coins so it can be used. The use of 6 singapore coins is only possible in singapore (for those who cannot obtain the normal 6 coins). However, sometimes it is best to also make sure the colour scheme within that sector doesn't contain too much Fire (red) or Earth (Yellow). Best to keep such sectors which need metal (white) if possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert L…

Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: Suppose someone is weak wood and sitting ina sector in which the woodstars 3 or 4 are prominent. Although these stars are no good in a general sense will these stars benefit the weak wood person? Not really. This is because a sector has several influence at work, even though there is a star 3/4 which are wood element. That person might benefit a little from it, but not really a great deal. Given that the flying star sector has 20year/year/month/day stars changing all the time, as such even ifa presence of star 3/4 is there, it isn't enough to be considered a Wood element presence. This isn't as strong as staying in the East dir…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: From the Bazhi Summary, all the members of my household are suitable to stay in a north facing house. Will it be even better if we alsolive in the northern part of Singapore, such as Woodlands and Yishun? Yes, if you consider the ba zi direction, choosing a North of a country is one way of adding more Water to the person. Ba Zi direction is typically used in Macro analysis rather than micro analysis. Macro analysis is such as countries located in North, or North part of the country, or direction of travel North wards. For such analysis, ba zi element and direction would be better. Micro analysis is more like facing of a home, or sector of b…

Dear Serina, Quote: Thanks again for your advises. In the six months since I bought my new-blue car, it was once broken-into by a thief, twice being damaged in the carpark and one recent collision with another car. I questioned about the colour of the car after reading your "Free Personal Ba Zi" which stated that Blue isone of the unfavourable element for a weak Metal. Generally, when luck isn't favouring you espeically from a few different areas (ie your ba zi luck, house luck etc). Such issues will occur. This is what we call compounded effect of the bad or unfavourable luck. As such, it means that you need to enhance as much of other areas in order to balance up …
