Dear Anon, Usually many Feng Shui practitioners will practise: 1. Compass School Feng Shui : a. Eight House Theory or Pa Cai Feng Shui This has to do with the placement of stove/ bed arrangement/study area. If so, usually or often, there is no changes, here. b. Wall colour and wealth area Often, if the wall colour isbright yellow, bright red or bright green, then there may be some instances where there may or may not be changes to these walls. Wealth area willmost often be different under Period 8. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Our flat is build in 2002 (Period 7). Dear Cecil, The windows are half-windows, meaning they start from waist level all the way to the ceiling. If this is the case, is there still a need for a low cabinet? Thanks!

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I will be shifting to my new house soon. I would like to find out where is the most suitable place in the masterbedroom to hang the wedding photograph ? A friendmentioned that it is not good feng shui to hang the wedding photograph on the wall above the bed headboard. Is it true ? Frankly, this is subjective. Some people believe that if you have the picture above the bed, it signify a married couple. While others, view it in such a way that if you constantly see too much ofit, sometimes it may create more friction especially if you see it every day and night. This is especially so maybe due to age, ie as you grow older, seeing photo of yourse…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master...i wanted to know if my unit number is auspicious...however, i'm not sure what is the year the house was built. Mine is a condo, just TOP in Oct 2006. Thus may i know wats considered "the year the house was built"?would it be TOP date? Completion date? or the date developer got the land? Houses built between(1984-2003) are considered Period 7 houses. Houses built after 2004 are consdiered Period 8 houses. Usually, you should take theyearwhen the developement is completed and ready for people to stay. So the TOP date is a safe date to use since it is means that the developement is ready for people to stay in. Hope that helps. War…

Please refer to my most recent reply to your last message. In modern times, with our knowlege of what positive and negative ions can and cannot do. And with the common use of silver nano technology - found in some high end washing machines and even can be found embedded into plastic containers... ain't these a better bet than relying on "older" Feng Shui cures? Katrina L. wrote: Hello Cecil, I am wondering if we can use the salt cure to suppress the #2 illness and #5 yellow star? Thanks.

Dear Anon, 1. No usually, the garage should be left out as it is not a `living' space. 2. If the house has separate owners, it is best that it can be differentiated. And readings can be taken for each apartment. For the shape of the house, one can treat it as a whole apartment when doing the Shapes and Form analysis. One can thus do an environmental scanning for the landscape, the site and the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, it is difficult to comment with the limited information; available. 2. Often, when it comes to the question of : Should I move? For many, the question posed is: will my new home be better or worse than the current home. 3. For many (unlike yourself); perhaps have stayed in a home; not much fantastic Feng Shui luck; but still can scrape thru. What happens if the next home has worse Feng Shui; or similar to what you may have encountered? 4. However, in your case; I am not sure how detailed the "Feng Shui" analysis and cures that was done previously. 5. On your question of "how extreme to have to move": Currently para 4; is a real question mark; and you ha…

1. Frankly, majority of the time, or intuitively, once we see a room, often, we have in our mindsa suitable seating arrangement. 2. As your message is vague, it is best that one should feel "comfortable" sitting in a direction viewing tv (based on para 1.). 3. Thus, I really won't know for sure, given that there is no layout sketch. Even if there is a layout sketch, if Feng Shui is applied, considerations like the shapes and forms, eight house and flying star Feng Shui is considered. 4. Honestly, a Feng Shui practitioner will often consider the environment. If the environment is a bedroom, a "sane" FS practitioner would never recommend a wind chime in a bedroom! 5. …

In this sample by ranking of an estate; one systematic approach is to apply common sense such as:- In this sample there are Legends like:- X = Inauspicious especially low floors to be next to a precint pavilion where often funerals are held. (only applies to HDB does not apply to condo units) RB = Low floors may get the smell of rubbish truck collection... etc... The other is if you can try to apply Flying Stars or plot and use it to understand the interior layout. Here the concern is where certain bad flying star numbers may land e.g. #5 hopefully does not land in say the master bedroom etc... The alternative is you may want to consider getting a geomancer to appra…

Dear Anon, In a real world situation, lets be practical: in a human situation, there are two main parties involved: the Feng Shui practitioner and their clients. Thus, there will always be different situations: where a Feng Shui practitioner may either practise Feng Shui WITHOUT religion especially if the practitioner is a free-thinker or in the west, some practitioners some how or other may be e.g. a born Catholic or a taoist etc... Even if the practitioner is non "religious" but like you had mentioned, the client has a religion, a good Feng Shui practitioner has to provide advise to both non and religious clients. Especially if the clients "insists" or have an altar…

Dear Doreen, 1. Based on the Eight House Theory, this implies that the house is not the best suited for you and your husband. 2. Usually, this is not the "end of the world". 3. You should also consider the intangible force affecting both of you in the bedroom. If possible, the person with the more auspicious intangible force sleeps closer to the direction and the other spouse sleeps on the opposite site (shielded by the spouse). 4. It is best to keep the main entrance area `bright' and natural lighting (if possible). Warmest Regards, Cecil ----- Original Message ----- From: "free-advice Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, September 05, 2000 7:21 AM Subject: Main Entrance De…

Dear Shaqeel, If i am not mistaken what you trying to understand is about your house's Sitting and Facing position. Since you are born a kua no 9(Li)person, the most suitable house is Sitting East Facing West ,Sitting South East Facing North West ,Sitting North Facing South and Sitting South Facing North. (this could also be a reason why your West facing house is good for you) To get a more clearer feng shui analysis in your house, you will have to get a flying star chart for it. Just my opinion. Frankly, in my opinion, I widely consider what you mentioned under a broad term: "Occupational Hazard". For example, drawing a parallel to you. Even we geomancers also may fall into "Occupational Hazards" once in a while. Here, we would bring along our luopan. And once in a while; during our visits; meet a home that is "dirty" or "unclean" (belonging to those of the other kind). From the safety aspect; just take extra care to minimize personal exposures to risks. Otherwise: it is an occupational hazard".

If my bazi chart shows forcast that a certain day is very inauspicious, will attending wedding which is a happy event, helps to turn the inauspiciousness around? 1. In my opinion, this is not the best method. As so far in my life (span) you are the first to associate a child's interdisplinary studies with the Five Elements concept. 2. The Five Elements Concept: 2.1. Everything cannot be simply just "black and white". Or for that matter, if one's element is metal, imagine if we simply base on it's colours: white, gold, metallic or silver and say decorate a home that is completely "white" life will be simply plain. 2.2 We were born to admire or most of us are able to detect at least more than 60,000 shades of colours. And why limit one to One or Two? 3. Thus it is the same for studies. One should not limit one's child just to on…

1.Frankly, Holistic Feng Shui is more than what you had mentioned. 2. In my opinion, no harm, trying. But do refer to these two guidelines:- * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach 3. More guidelines:- *Commonsense Approach Fact or Fiction? * Fast Food Feng Shui * Feng Shui Triage * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star

Dear Jaishree, There are a few considerations to note: 1. One theory you can apply is the Eight House Theory. Here, check what intangible force is located in the West room with respects to your children who will be occupying the room. 2. Under the Eight House, Where possible it is good for them to spent time at an of the 4 auspicious sector e.g. Health, Longevity etc.. 3. Priority should be given to Para 2. Another point is that they can sit facing one of their good directions. 4. Before considering Para 3, it is best to position the study table against a wall for `support'. Check out the resources on www.geomancy.net for the Shapes and Form School techniques and read up …

Dear Anon, I like your `new cure':) *Joke* So far, I believe no one has fully tested or tested using a mini tiger. Frankly, I have never `experimented' with a mini tiger, so cannot say for sure if it will work. Honestly, I am not sure. Do exercise caution: A tiger is a Yin animal as opposed to the Dragon (particularly the five claw dragon) which is considered the most Yang of all animals. This may upset your use of mini tigers. Majority of the time, the cure is to use Yang elements instead of adding or "accidently" increase the Yin elements. It is best not to reinvent the wheel or this round use what you can find. The added problem is if either the main door or direct opp…

Dear Hemant, Frankly, there is no direct relationship between selling say a godown vs Feng Shui. A godown is especially related more with business decisions, then Feng Shui. In the holy trinity of luck: considerations include: things like your office Feng Shui, home Feng Shui.... Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: HEMANT K. wrote: I want to sell one built up godown having north facings, but despite my full effortsI am failed to getany offer, any feng shui tip so as to get earliest funds from the sale of this property. 1. Placement of a fish tank can be both (1)scientific &/or (2) based on Yin and Yang concepts; &/or (3) Shapes and Forms and lastly by personal feel or even trial and error Feng Shui. 2. Recently, someone also asked whether their placement is correct. Thus if it purely on a SCIENTIFIC way, then I have mentioned that one has to apply things like Flying Star Feng Shui. Check whether the water star #8 or alternatively the water star #1 is in the "right place". Right place is an appropriate location especially in the living room. 3. Even if the water star e.g. WS#8 is located in a bedroom, many would feed awkward having a fish tank with fishes looking at you when y…

There are two types of Flying Star analysis:- 1. The most common is the horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui where a home can be classified as belonging to one of the 15 directions or mountains. 2. If I am not mistaken, you mentioned yours is a home and does not seem to have a floor or storey number. 3. Please re-read the objective of that report. If I am not mistaken, the report does mention that it is FOR apartments. The report is meant for analysis using VERTICAL Flying Star. Therefore, there is no relevance to a landed property - if you choose to apply it to a landed property. This is in-correct. Anonymous wrote: Hi, I entered 3310 house number address then the year…

Dear Kaushal, There is no evidence to suggest that it is harmful to keep `junk' especially in the storeroom. However, it would certainly be `nice' if clutter could be cleared (if possible). Thus the above is `secondary'. More important factors in Feng Shui should be considered such as good Shapes and Form etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, Before one thinks that it is so easy to activate MS#9, please think again as this # cannot work alone. Rather than like many people who make a mistake of enhancing.. one should instead see if there is a leak. If so? Then, fix the leak!, First! There are so many various combinations. It is not possible for me to list out all the combinations. Just a few sample which I can think off: MS#9 with WS#7 For this type of combination (also please take not of the base / palace number. Here, it would be wishful thinking to enhance it. Rather, especially if there is also a #2 or #5 base, jolly well fix the leak e.g. use water element. If MS#9 with WS#3 Since wat…

Moderator's Note: The reply to this is under " More Grand Duke Questions" Hi. I see there's questions about construction in the East. My question is: Would there be any ill effects from tearing out flower beds in the W and SW, and building a raised bed in the NE this year? The earth *would* be disturbed by putting in rebar to hold the timbers down in the NE and taking out rebar in the W and SW. If there is the possibility of ill effects, it would definitely be worth waiting until next year. Your input is very much appreciated. Thanks, julie
