Dear Shuzhen, If you keep the colours to your husband's colour, you can than use personal enhancements such as personal colours of red etc. Generally, the above should be ok, since the piano is placed against the wall. The only thing is if, it is based on Flying Star, the piano (since the exterior is usually made of wood), where best, it should not be at a sector with `bad wood' or an imbalance of the sector that has `bad wood'. Otherwise, things like white glass, lilac are decorative items and is considered insignificant. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kaushal, Since you are a weak fire person, the best element here is wood element i.e. green or brown. The next best colour is fire i.e. pink, purple or red. The controlling element for fire are: 1. Metal to control the wood which is your production element. 2. Water to destroy fire. (avoid using this combination unless the card turns out to be all RED.) Here, for example, the `trick' is to use black font (black represents water element). However, since the card is small, you can chose colors based on the above. Do remember that the Five Elements concept is about seeking a balance also. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. If you are a west person, when sleeping, general, head should be pointed: West, NW, NE or SW. 2. For study, please note your FACE, should face your best direction, which is e.g. NE. 3. Thus one should be aware that both are TWO different activities. For example try sleeping to study. But, unfortunately it cannot be said that someone may fall asleep while they study. For such a person, I feel that even if they face their good direction, is but a waste of time.

Dear Anon, Members of www.geomancy-online.com can make use of the Pillars of Comparison module to check the relationship of two parties. You can check out the various combinations. For example:- Compare Husband and son Husband and daughter son and daughter Wife and daughter Wife and son etc... It would be interesting to do so:) This is to take advantage of the computing power to analyse in detail the various relationships, clashes etc.. of true tradtional Pillars of Destiny. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Adeline, Glad that you enjoyed our website. Firstly, this year is a Metal Rooster in a Wood Year. So the main influence is the Wood year influence. The element that your self element (Strong metal) destroys is your wealth. ie Metal destroy Wood, thus Wood is your wealth element. Given you are a Strong Metal, you will be able to benefit from this year. So it becomes auspicious for you. As a Strong metal, water helps to exhaust your excess Metal, while Fire also destroy your metal to reduce the excess Metal. So Water, Wood & Fire are all favourable for you. So this year will automatically be a good year for you. So if you plan to do anything important this would…

1. Please re-read my previous reply. 2. If you are DIY Feng Shui, then, try to see if you can apply Flying Star Feng Shui. As Flying Star Feng Shui maps out the "birth-chart" of a home. And things like water star #8 is a good location to place a water feature (distinct from whether you are a weak fire or not). If your water position is placed on a water wealth location, then it is fine. (A water position may also be placed at a water star #1, location) 3. In general, from now to 2023, avery good location to activate water position MAY be the South-West sector. Which is in general, known as the "water-wealth-spirit" location of a home. 4. Under Flying Star, what could b…

Dear Anon, 1. The Flying Star Theory is considered more accurate than the Eight House for two reasons:- 2. It takes into consideration time factor e.g. the age of the building and period of assessment. This was used to the explaination of the rise and fall of dynasties and empires. 3. When we consider the main entrance door, it is not simply the Eight cardinal points of North, South, East, West, North-East, North-West, South-East and South West; but instead, sub-divide each compass point into three sectors. Example For North, you must identify if it is at 0 degrees, 15 degrees or at 345 degrees and then you start to plot a mathemathical model plus also calculate the movem…

1. Since the door is facing the staircase, the concept is "if it is not seen it is no longer a threat" applies. Thus, it should be placed such that the staircase is fully or partially blocked. 2. In Singapore weather, the most common - easy to maintain are those from the bamboo family is one of the easiest to upkeep. The yellow bamboo and common straight growing ones are OK. Any other plants so long as they don't have a single trunk would be accepable.

1. Firstly, "Feng Shui is not a cure all". And numerology such as house numbers have no real precedence in Feng Shui. 2. No. 4 can be considered as a double edged sword. Some of us, don't look kindly to this number but there are some who feel neutral towards the number.

Dear Anon, Usually, the advise is to "go slow" with Feng Shui. It has also to do with what is the level of Feng Shui one is prepared to go into? The quickest way (but cost money) is to go for a Full Feng Shui audit by a competent FS practitioner. Else, if one wants to `learn' (learning is not good enough) but rather applying Feng Shui, one has to spent time and effort like any other disciplines. Like I mentioned, there are lots of resources available both e.g. in this website. Starting point: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/theory.htm or get yourself books on Feng Shui. For calculation under the Eight House, I recommend you spent sometime to browse through http://www.geomancy…

Dear Angelique, There are many (many) considerations if one uses Feng Shui to analyse a house: This involves, environmental scanning of the landscape, the site, the building and interior of the home. If the main door is facing the backdoor, this could still be `cureable' e.g. having a divider to shield the backdoor from the main entrance. Warmest Regards, Cecil It is good to look at the conference " Samples that will not receive a proper reply " as this part would end out in that conference.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi my husband's desk position in the office is facing his disaster position. There is no other way to move it so it will face another position. Is there anything I can do to counter act this? As you mentioned, there is no other way to move it so nothing much you can do to force that direction to be suitable. As the eight house, simply tells you whether which direction is good or bad. If it is bad, it is best you avoid it. The only other way to minimise the impact could be through improving other areas such as your ba zi element. Check out what element your husband belongs to and then ensure that the colours of the clothings is his favourable …

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, good buildings have the `water' facilities away from the offices. Here, pumbing can be concentrated at the corner of a building i.e. the pantry area, the toilets (both male and female). 2. Since most of us are not going to spent so much time at the toilet area, the male and female toilets can still be next to each other. Usually, the centre area or a walkway for maintenance (housing the pumbing) for both toilets) is between the male and female toilet. 3. No matter how, the above is still a better choice rather than the toilet in the middle or at one location where it does not at least share one external wall. Here, some office main entrances may b…

Dear Cherry, Cherry Yam wrote: I just rented a house and the kitchen is in the center of the house. My sister told me it's not good. What can I do to cure this? Ideally, the center of the house should be empty if possible. If the kitchen is located there, but the stove is not located at the center of the house, then it is not as bad. If the stove is located at the center point of the house then, nothing much you can really do here except to move out to a better layout. Hope that helps. 1. Frankly, the Grand Duke concept should not be treated as "rocket science". 2. It has more to do with:- 2.1. Disturbing the Grand Duke i.e. such as re-painting walls or demolishing walls or renovation of floor tiles at NE (this year) 2.2 If one is nothing disturbing or touching Grand Duke, generally, there is no major concern. For example meditating is a peaceful activity; so where to or how to antagonise Grand Duke? Thus this is not an issue.

Dear Anon, In Asia, in my opinion, the most popular set of display figurines has got to be the "Fu Lu Shou" set of threefigurines.Either in a set or lettering. Before the popularity of the laughing buddha or buddha figurines; the above can be found in many "well-to-do"Chinese homes as early as 1960's. They are in-fact very popular right up today. The "Fu Lu Shou" figurines do not have any religious connotationsbut simply many Chinese love to display this set of three wise persons. As mentioned as one of the most popular display items of any Chinese homes. Thesethree figurines comes in many sizes, large, medium and small. They come in all sorts of material from gold, s…

1. Some use ba zi to check whether a period is good for them i.e. financial gain or loss or be careful of purchasing of a home. 2. Others look at auspicious dates for negotiations. 3. There are others that feel that the Feng Shui is good before buying a home. 4. Many of us have our motive for purchasing a home and other factors include ability to obtain loan, bank evaluation of the home etc.... Overall, discuss with your immediate family and always bring along the whole family to view a home.

Dear Debbie, Unfortunately, there are few books on History of Feng Shui:- 1. Dr Evelyn Lip For history, one of the few books are written by Dr Evelyn Lip. So far, she has written three books. You can try to find it out e.g. in the library or do a search at amazon.com 2. Dr Ong-Hean Tatt He wrote a good book on Feng Shui. See below ? For the serious reader or researcher who wants evidence that Feng Shui is for real! You can also check out:- Doctor Stephen Field's FengShui Gate You must visit this site especially if you are doing research on the origins of fengshui. Dear Anon, 1. For those who have not done a proper FS assessment for a child's bedroom can:- 1.1 Depending on the age of the child, create a more yang environment. For example, if it is a young child of 3 to 6 years old can paint the bedroom in a bright colour and hang.. other decorations e.g. ABC.... etc... 1.2 The key essence is how the child is brought up. If the child is quite independent and has been sleeping in their own bedroom for quite some time, this is a good sign. 1.3 However, if the child has frequent nightmares and wakes up in the middle of the night or constantly bed-wetting the bed, it is good to look further into it. 1.4 As a parent, you can, I believe, …

Dear Chloe Lin, In my opinion, bringing in items on the chosen auspicious day varies with different dialect groups. Overall in my opinion; you can see if some of the items can be available to you (and some perhaps - optional). Prior to the auspicious day; one can consider buying the following:- 1. One packet of rice (5 Kg) is OK. Not necessary the 10 kg bag. 2. One packet of sugar. 3. One packet of salt. 4. For the Hokkiens; they would buy a pineapple with the flower intact on the top. A pineapple to them signify: " ONG " or LUCK. (Optional) 5. " Huat Quay " or a cake which is baked by adding e.g. coca cola or 7 up so that when it is baked it becomes `full' at the top. …
