You wrote: "We have decided to sell this house and go to a new house, due to the above issues and my son has no friends in the current location.what do you suggest? Do you suggest me to sell this house and go to some other house ?" We have to be equally logical about it. The rationale is because, there is no other alternative home to compare with. If the new home turns out well; then it is good. But, what happens if the new (be it new or resale) home has "equal" or worst issues than this? Thus, as it is; this is no other comparison between your existing home vs some other home(s).

Dear Lisa, In my opinion, if one already does not have a water position at the back of the house, it is best not to have one. In general, under Feng Shui (Shapes and Form), it is not advantages to have water positions behind the house. This follows the concept that the back of the house should have a solid-backing. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vadym, 1. The more accurate analysis is the use of Pillars of Destiny as it analyses your Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. In the more advanced analysis, Year, Month, Day, Time, House of Conception and House of Birth are taken into consideration. 2. Thus, if the proper analysis was done and as you are deduced to be a `strong metal', you can use more advanced methods such as looking at each direction based on the element. 3. For example, North is Water. South is Fire element. Thus for this two sectors: 4. Since water exhausts your STRONG metal thus create a balance. This sector is considered good for you. 5. Fire is also good sector as fire destroys strong metal t…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no mircle feng shui solution for a successful sale of a business. So far only possible thing you can do is to try to choose luck dates or ensuring you wear more favourable colours during your meeting with the potential buyer. Probably only additional feng shui method is to quote some feng shui benefits. Maybe it will help change the buyer's mind. You will probably want to take a look at non-feng shui solution, ie painting the walls to make the place look clean and tidy. In addition, list out the reasons why the place is good and stress on it. Frankly, if the place is as good as you say, then probably you are not advertising it well enough …

Dear Tan, Congratulations on your new job! Unlike the case where it is considered inauspicious to moving-in; frankly, there is no major issue selecting a date to start-work. However, feel free to use our free auspicious date report to check auspicious dates for the next 30 days:- http://date.geomancy.net Warmest Regards, Cecil

Just to share with forum readers. I recently shifted into my new condo apartment in July 1999. On shifting in, my career did not improve. In fact, took a nose-dive. I was by-passed for a promotion and my boss was snubbing me for circumstances beyond my control. I read a FS book that stated that having a fish tank in the north sector of the living room will improve one's career prospects. I didn't want to manage the hassles of a fish tank, so, I thought of using something more static. I decided to install tiles of fishes on my cabinet that was located in the north sector of the living room just to see if things improve. Surprise! Surprise! six months down the road, I have…

Dear Kumari, I believe that, you most likely are staying in a hostel. Frankly, it is difficult to `correct' these especially if it is in a `small' room where one has difficulties moving furniture. As a consolation, many have also gone thru the same `situation' as yours and are doing very well. This is not a permanent situation and most of the time you most likely are studying. Furthermore, being young and I believe, with more Yang energy in you. Good Luck in your studies:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sophia, I am not to clear whether pumpkin (American slang) is similar to the local use of the term melon. But, if what your friend had displayed, locally in Singapore we call this "pumpkin" melon instead. Some call it golden melon because of it's colour. Usually, much like the mandarin oranges or "kum"; this is the phonetic sound like "Gold" for the Cantonese dialect group. Thus, exchanging a pair of mandarin oranges is like exchanging gold for the Cantonese. Thus, an orange melon also has the look of "gold" and in my opinion, perhaps, more readily associated with the Cantonese. And during the new year period, this melon or pumpkin? has been marketed to sell …

Dear Lola, I glad that you find the information in the website useful. Please see below:- It is best that Qi can meander rather than go off directly thru and out of the house. If you do not see a direct path from the main door to the back, this is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, So far, Lillian Too has a Chinese Numerology Book. It is quite difficult to digest thou as this is not one of her `best works'. In my opinion, she is better writing books on Shapes and Form books. One can enhance oneself by knowing the a person's birth element and strength. Sorry, I am not sure what is your question as we are usually moving around. Unless you are referring to constantly `facing' a poison arrow. I believe not much unless one try using more Yang than yin. E.g. brighter clothing. I am not sure how effective this is. If so, try to wear clothing that enhances your birth element e.g. weak water person can try to wear a blue clothing/shirt. W…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, there are far too many variations of what a mountain star looks like. 2. Therefore, as there are many human beings on earth, there are many Feng Shui practitioners with their own ideas of what the mountain star is. 3. Those who, perhaps sell crystals or used them before, would say that mountain star must be made of crystal etc... 3. While others sell `smooth' or beauty rocks would say that theirs is a mountain star. 4. Thus, it is always unproductive to argue over the shape and form of what a mountain star should be. 5. To this day, no one can claim that his or her mountain star is the only one that works. If so, surely there must be a book wr…

Dear Angela, 1. Frankly, at a macro level, there should not be an issue on the design of an air regulator `based' on Feng Shui principles. 2. More importantly, it is the product and the shape is designed on the practical aspects of both incorporating it and how easily and cost effectively it can be produced / moulded. 3. For example, a split airconditionering looks almost the same for all models. Rectangular in shape, with removal filters. Air is circulated through the vents at the lower panels. 4. The only Feng Shui consideration is to avoid, where possible posion arrows e.g. sharp cornered objects. Where possible, edges should be rounded. Point no. 4 is the most importa…

Dear Anon, Frankly, I prefer not to answer this question. If I do, this forum would sound more like a market place than a Traditional Feng Shui forum. Hope you understand. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, Maria Lourdes Sinahan wrote: How can I (yi) reduce the harm inflicted on me by wei person. What does it mean "To reduce tension between wei and yi, one should arm oneself with yi?". Frankly, it is harder to reduce any harm that between two person by using yi. This is because, in terms of ba zi, a harm is where two animal signs conflict. And to neturalise such an effect, it is said you need a 3rd animal sign that helps to resolve the conflict. This is really hard to always have a 3rd party animal sign in order to create harmony. Thus, a better way is based on the two element of the ba zi. ie one is weak water another is strong wood. Therefore the binding ele…

Dear Phei Shen, In my opinion, it would not be advisable to use a mirror for the situation you had mentioned: 1. Mirrors break easily and it would be far worse if it shatters and land downwards especially on a person's face or body. 2. If it becomes to concealed, i.e. pipes etc.. there is no way of knowing that there are small leaks which may turn for the worse. 3. If one uses a false ceiling, it has to completely cover the area rather than turning it into a `beam' effect. Thus, it may not be that good idea to use the `mirror'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

For the benefit of those who may not understand the relationship of Wind `opposite' Thunder, please refer to The First Heaven Sequence trigram. There is a graphic display of this at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/pakua.htm Where: Heaven to Earth Water to Fire Mountain to Lake abd Wind to Thunder The above is based on the lengendary FuXi's First Heaven Sequence. Yes, you do have a good way of seeing it:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hi, on my luck pillar analysis/summary, as weak water (east), i should stay in a house facing direction for metal to further improve my luck...and avoid nw & ne as house facing direction as it will further reduce my luck. but nw, ne west and sw are the 4 good directions for metal. also, if i use house facing direction for metal, does it mean i should use all 4 good directions (west)for metal instead? thanks In general, there are two concepts when it comes to house suitability:- 1. Eight House (4 good or 4 bad directions). This tells you how you suitable a room or house. Even though, this is based on the year of birth, the it is…

Dear Georgy, #8 = current prosperity and appears as the base (or palace star #8) #1 = future, future prosperity water element ON Mountain star AND #6 = strong metal Thus, #6 strengths the mountain star #1 (future, future prosperity). In addition, base star #8 is the current prosperity thus bring good relationship and networking luck. Overall, despite your ba zi element: You can consider painting the room cream or beige. As you are a strong metal person although earth colours are suppose not to besuitable for you:- Earth colours are: BRIGHT Yellow, cream or beige But because this sector or room has verygoodearth (mountain) elements, you can seriously consider paintin…
