Dear Chee Kheong, It is a strong consideration to move the stove. Since we are just going by description, it is good for you to see the feasibility of this inconsideration with: 1. in the new position, where best the stove does not face the toilet bowl or basin 2. hopefully the new position does not clash with the wash basin or 3. is there a secure solid wall behind the stove 4. how about windy days? Does the postion allow fire to "move-around" or forced-out of the front ... which may cause hurt to the body etc... The above are also some of the considerations before implementing any change. I can only think of the above for now. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yueh T. wrote: Hi Master Cecil, i have been reading about feng shui and water feature location, could you advise me is the position of my water feature in the correct place in my living room? from my research in the net, i know is in the northwest area is where the wealth spot is but i'm still confused. These are some considerations:- 1. If your approach is thru the Compass School of Feng Shui; then it is best to draw up a 20 Year Flying Star Chart and find out exactly what are the Flying Star numbers at the northwest area (sector):- 1.1. If that sector has the Water Star #8; and depending on the Mountain # and Base # stars; etc... 2. Otherwise, what you had writte…

Hi Diana, For choice of tomb, you will have to use shapes and forms concept to determine which part of the land would be better. Probably, look out for like the Four Symbolic animals, where is the tortise protection, where is the open area, and many other shapes and form concept like water position, mountain position etc. Those are more important in the choice of a tomb location. The Eight House suitability isn't used for the dead, it is a concept for the living. Probably best, here to get someone who does tomb location geomancer as they can better advise you which is better position. Hope that helps. Hi Master Lee: I am looking to purchase an apartment and saw that there may be a few poison arrows from looking out the window. I've included pictures standing in front of the window. Do these look like poison arrows to the apartment unit? Thank You.

Dear SL, No, it depends. This is the rationale, why, I suggested for a `proportinate' sketch or layout plan. Without a proper sketch, it is not easy to comment whether to superimpose a 9 grid or to assess it as an `L' shaped home. For an `L' shaped home even if we separate it into two rectangles; it may be quite trickly for some to find out what is the direction of the main entrance and whether to use to directions (different) grids for each rectangle or superimpose identical grids to both triangles. Warmest Regards, Cecil

http://www.ens-newswire.com/PERSONAL_PICTURES/hThank you so much for your service. I have learned so much from the free forums that I am planning to sign up for the entire course. I am renting a condominium that is troublesome to me. I have suffered both health and financial problems since I moved in here. The door is facing directly north and there are several vertical posts as well as a steel handrail in front of the door. I have posted pictures both from inside and outside. Is there any way I can offset this negative influence or should I move to a new home?

Thanks for the photos. These are some considerations: 1. Since the offending post is "smack" against the main entrance door; thus the best "solution" is to consider a potted plant with lots of leaves (not another barren tree trunk type of plant) against this post. Ideally the potted plant is plus or minus = around 3/4 height of the entire entrance door. 2. The weak alternative is hanging a 6 hollow rod wind chime. 3. The rest of the concern like railings.. no choice. Thus, in my opinion, therefore, if you are allowed to place a potted plant; then this can be the best solution.

Dear Ben, 1. The main purpose of the light is to `redress' the missing corner. 2. If your garden has an outline of the missing corner e.g. landscaping done so that when one has a top-view of your plot of land, it shows an outline or profile of the `missing corner'. If this has been done, then it is not a necessity to have a garden light point. If Para 2, is `available' i.e. if you have landscaping done - then it is not necessary. But if you want to place a lighting under this `condition' then, a low walkway light should be acceptable or the 1-2 feet tall type will do. 3. If there is no landscaping and you are using only a `street lamp' then, it is advisable to use a tall…

Dear Jason, 1. It depends on what you are investigating. 2. Often, a building is investigated especially if the company or business owns the entire building. And, here, the company wants to check it's external Feng Shui especially to see if a water feature or a water / cum mountain feature can be activated e.g. outside the building e.g. frontage, or back. 3. For example, if the building is facing a double #8 under Period 8, which is coming soon. The owner of the building may want to have a cuscading water fall flowing e.g. from left to right of the building to activate #8 mountain with #8 water position at this spot. 4. But, what about the interior of your office? 5. Here…

Hi, We just moved into a new home and based on my calculation it seems this is a good home with parent string combination. Unfortunately we have a corner that's either missing or protruding (attached floor plan). As we won't be able to do any renovation due to this is a townhouse we would like some advise or what we can do. Thank you so much, Shaun

Dear Anon, Personally, I do keep two plants outside the living room window. Without much care, they are always flowering. This is considered a good sign especially when the plants grow well. In a way, one can consider plants as a good indicator of a looking at a location's "health". It is not advisable for a plant to be placed inside a bedroom because it is growing and in this situation, creates yang Qi. It is acceptable to have plants grow in planters outside the bedroom window. This is ok because the plants are not actually located inside the bedroom itself. In Singapore, placing potted plants on window verge is not allowed if it can fall and hurt someone downstairs es…

Dear Magdalene, Can you confirm whether, the powder room has water position. If not, in my opinion, it is secondary or non-issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Sorry, I am not sure if I got you correctly. But, as I mentioned earlier, the test is to stand inside the home e.g. at the main door : looking out of it or in the home looking out of the window. If one can directly see it "aimed" or "slicing" the window, then this is considered as a poison arrow. Otherwise, even if can see the pole but it is at the side of the window (not slicing the window in anyway, this is actually not a real threat. But rather can be called an illusional view - thus if this is the case, no issue).

Dear Wayne, 1. Yes, some Feng Shui books warn of living close to high power transmission lines. Here, some of these books quote the magnetic field coming from such lines as `unsafe' for health. 2. So far, if I am not mistaken, there were studies conducted even by Universities to say that there are no adverse effects on human beings. 3. This could also explain why, some of us are still `allowed' by the authorities to live close to these power-lines. 4. Under Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, it is always safer to stay clear of power towers. Not because of any ill effects (magnetic force) but rather, in an unlikely senario of the tower falling down e.g. due to high winds o…

Dear Tammy, 1. Under the FS concept, "if one can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes a threat." 2. In your situation: 2.1. The most effective method is to protect the bedroom windows e.g. use a curtain or blind. 2.2. The other method is to plant trees behind the house such that it will block the view of the power cables. (But this may not be feasible or it may take time). Warmest Regards, Cecil
