Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a weak fire person and being told by another feng shui master to decorate my beauty salon in yellow and gold color, in order to bring wealth. Generally, as a weak fire, it means that you are generally lacking in either Fire or Wood. How much you actually lack or more less depends on the percentage of five element within your chart. Some weak fire is considerd lacking more Wood than Fire, or lacking more Fire than Wood, or lacking an equal amount of Wood and Fire. In general, if you lack wood and fire, you want to ensure that you enhance yourself with more of such element. You can find more about the five element and relationship from thi…

Dear Terry, Terry Yuen wrote: My house is having the a stretch of windows alongside inthe whole side of my Living Room wall. Death, Irritation, Disaster direction. Actually, the most important factor for eight house application is for:- 1. Ensure that the breadwinner (I presume yourself), has a suitable house facing direction ie if North is your facing and it falls under your death, irritation direction that it is deemed unsuitable for you home.So in long run, the solution to get a quantum leap is to move to a more suitable house etc. 2. The next important thing you use this concept is to locate the best room for you to sleep or work in. It should be a room that falls …

Or is it better to do before moving in though almost impossible until after receiving shipment of our belongings. My husband isn't too well. He is a strong yin earth (1) & myself strong yang earth (4). Must we avoid work in the South totally? Please help.

Hi Master Lee, We'd recently been recommended a FengShui Master (from China) to do an analysis on our house and as the analysis was done in Chinese, while most of my pre-reading of FengShui was in English, I have some doubts/questions that I am still puzzled with and I hope that you can help clear my mind. The analysis was done, assuming, using 8 Mansion method as what the master did was measuring the Centre-point of our house and then getting the location/direction of our maindoor, and each and every rooms. He wasn't into Flying Star. The master did not use any Gua #, just telling us that we falls under which Group, what Element. #1 - Both my husband and me are Gua #2, w…

Dear Wendy, Frankly, although some books had mentioned about the ills of living close to high-tension wires; So far, from what I understand there is never a scientic proof that it brings harm to those close-by. Thus often, this is `mind' over `matter'. The only consequence under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is that the trunk or pole or rod, should not slice into the home. If so, this is sha qi. Frankly, there were recent claims that some handphones had high (microwave radiation). More likely, if this is true, of the ill effects, we most likely can get sick or run down by a "car" than die from high-tension wires. Thus, it does not seem logical to worry too much about this.…

These are some considerations: 1. In your case, it is better to go by personal feel or feelings. (At worse, this is known as "trial-and-error" or in today's Feng Shui); it should be given the dubious distinction of the term "trial-BY-error" method. Why? 1.1 Traditional Feng Shui not only looks at your ba zi; but in addition to this things like Flying Stars and the "stars" in your bedroom - good or bad. 1.2 Look at it this way: 1.2.1 In order to obtain your personal Ba zi information e.g. weak water person; one's date (& even time of birth) is needed. 1.2.2 This is the same for your home. Your home has it's own birth-date and BIRTH-CHART. 2. Therefore, without …

1. Usually it is difficult to guage what kind of problem or issue as it also depends on the height of the pyramids, whether it is a full pyramid or simply it looks like a partial pyramid like Conrad in Singapore. And the distance to it and/or is any of the sharp points pointed towards your office window. 2.One can apply the concept: "If it cannot be seen it no longer can become a threat. " If so, often most or all offices uses some kind of a blind - close the blind as a possible "solution" to the "problem" if any.

Hello Master Lee, The East is one my auspicious directions. My bedroom is located in the East (E3) sector of our house. When sleeping, my head points to the East for good health. However this east sector where my bedroom is located has the house's natal chart numbers of mountain star #7, water star #5 and base star #2. So I have 2 negative stars in my sector. My question is --- Is it still okay for me to sleep with my head poiting to the East? Even though I have 2 negative stars in my sector? I would appreciate your help! Thanks in advance!

Hello, Am confused which to follow: 1. According to my Bazi chart, my most favorable element is earth. Next favorable is water. - so from this chart, my house should face either SW, NE or N. However, I also read from one of your posts that under Period 8, North facing houses are the least lucky houses. 2. According to 8 mansions theory, my most favorable directions are: N, S, E, and SE. 3. Since you say that the North facing houses are the least lucky for Period 8, should I focus on either South or East facing? I know there are other considerations to factor in like shapes and form and flyings stars, but I'm just asking as a general question only. What do I fol…

1. Please note that there are different interpretations with the regards to to the Four Symbolic Animals:- 1.1. Shapes and Forms If you consider shapes and forms then, literally the dragon is suppose to be on your left and the tiger on the right. As what you had mentioned. 1.2. Compass School Compass School interpretation is different. And strictly, North = Black tortise, while South = Red phoenix; East = Green Dragon and West = White (Metal) Tiger. Thanks for the advice! Yes, the staircase will have a landing - 11 steps, 7 steps, 11 steps and lastly 7 steps. That's okay?? So you wouldn't recommend a staircase in that sector huh? That would have been a good spot in our floor plan (we don't know what else to put in that sector because of the negative stars). I guess we'll have to find another sector to put the staircase.

1. Please don't jump to the wrong conclusions. 2. Feng Shui also concerns with the amount of sun-light (or direct sun-light) coming into or "soaking into the walls of a home". 3. Please check out my previous postings with reference to Para 2. 4. Para 2 has nothing to do with Compass School of Feng Shui. Although, all "leaks" including Para 2 may add up to cause further problems. 5. Para 2, is about either the effects of direct sun-light (raditation) or heat (walls soak heat and slowly releases the heat in the evening - especially concern for countries close to the equator).

1. Some people have the opinion that since (the person's) home is a period 7 home; they were "told" that their homes MUST fly to Period 8 in order to obtain positive luck. 2. In real life situations, some homes have expensive renovations done or the quality of build is at the premium or luxury level. And to make major renovations is both costly and not practical. 3. Thus whether the Flying Star chart is a Period 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8, one can still see if one can tap the beneficial benefits UNDER PERIOD 8. 4. For example, I had mentioned countless of times, that if you are applying Flying Star, then check to see if the following Flying Star numbers CAN or MAY be activa…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, this has more to do with `beliefs' than Feng Shui. 2. However, if we look at some Chinese `beliefs', the Chinese favour `pairs' rather than a single object. 3. I am not sure how magical a Dragon Horse figurine or statue can be, but as you have mentioned, may use one or from the opinion of others two `Dragon Horse' may not necessary make any difference in our wealth. Well no harm to place 1 or a pair (2). Warmest Regards Cecil

The story about the Five Coloured Paper used in Qing Ming: In ancient China, there was once an Emperor who took over the throne. After he took over the throne, he visited the location where his father was buried. Legend was that he looked everywhere but could not find the tomb. He nearly gave up until, one of his loyal aids; asked him to throw the `five coloured paper' (which can also be written on). He threw the `five coloured paper' and one of them was lodged in the grass field. True enough, it was his father's tomb. Hence, it was said that from that day onwards, Chinese besides giving offering also placed colourful paper (5 types of colours) and insert them around th…

Dear Tim, So such sectors must be corrected to avoid any potential problems. However, for most modern house, the better cure is to ensure that the area is decorated with more Metal influence (ie white colour decor, with more metal furniture etc.) As for the illness issues, besides such cures, it may also be good to have like the modern technology an HEPA air cleaner which can help to reduce germs and further reduce illness. It is just like even if the sector is suitable for you, but the sector can still have very bad feng shui. So the bad stars still have to corrected. Hope that helps. Hi Master Lee, I find your website very useful. I have a few questions which i hope you can help me with. My partner's (breadwinner)'s KUA # (9), his best direction is South. As such the main door of our flat should preferably be facing South? What are his alternative good directions? 2) Should we take into consideration the main door of our house, or where the flat faces? How do we tell where's the 'front' of the block of flat, esp withnew HDB flats built today (Seng Kang & Punggol)? 3) The flat we're looking at faces South. However it is in the line of 'death'. Do we need to put something to filter/block away? As we're free thinker, can we use a mirror / glass (o…

Dear Nevine, nevine al seidi wrote: I am strong wood. This means my colour is green. Should I employ more red and fire element, more and more metal in my home to neutralize my nature? And does this mean I should surround myself with less living plants? I think you are a little confused here. Kua (Eight House) is often used more for most suitable/best facing etc. It is based on year of birth so it is less accurate when you are planning to use for personal analysis. Thus, even though there is a kua element you do not use it as your personal element. Ba Zi charts your luck and true personal element as it uses the day/month/year and even hour of birth. So it is better to …

Dear Kaushal, 1. In my opinion, there should be many qualities a good FS consultant should have. 2. I believe many of such good qualities are similar to other "professions". 3. I have to consider FS a profession because it "involves" human lifes. Although it is not in the same league as being a Doctor. But, if wrongly applied, or wrongly `worshipped' it can do harm (both physical and others). 4. Physical as it is a form of metaphysics and in some sense, it can be considered like `playing with nature' or (unnatural). It is left to each of us to decide the degree of effect it has on some of us. 5. I still clearly remember an message that was sent to the feng shui newsgroup…
