Dear Mark, In my opinion:- 1. Books If you are reading Lillian Too's books then go for more of `Shapes and Form' concepts. I personally feel that she is better at `Shapes and Form' FS than numerology topics such as Flying Star etc.. I personally feel that a person's inclination is an important factor in deciding which topics or subjects to go into. For example, if one notice carefully, Harvard University or personnels in the university are more inclined towards `humanity' or subjects on humanity. (Less focus on mathematics). Where else, those who studies at e.g. University of California or MIT, are more inclined towards logic or mathematics or such sciences. Thus, one may…

Dear Anon, I have personally seen clients who even if they are missing out in their resource element, make a success in their Wealth or even Power element. In many of these success stories, another major aid is their home. Perhaps, I like to clarify here that maybe (just maybe) that their `excellent' homes has added a second dimension or `had replaced' their missing resource element. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Sorry cannot get thru to "free-advice@forum.geomancy.net", my email keeps bouncing back hence I sent to this email address instead. Hope its alright. Dear Cecil If a person stays in an apartment that is high up, say 20th floor with no possible poison arrows but also seems to have no "protection" since it is like a stand alone point block and nearby shorter blocks are not very near. Is this no good? I've read in your website that its better that the back of the house should have another higher block as a "backing" and sides should have blocks to act as protection similar to the white tiger and the dragon. Is that so for apartment blocks? If not then what happens? Consideri…

Dear Anon, It is certainly good indeed that you took the effort to clarify. As most of us know, each situation would differ and that there is usually no `hard and fast' rule. And two way communication is great. Please see below:- Yes, I was referring to sites or land area where the trees are `pretty' close to the buildings or houses. Trees such as 5 to 10 feet away. But in your case, it is quite far away at 20 or more feet. This is OK. Overall, I am an expert on trees or plants. But, I noticed that usually when majority of them grow larger i.e. within 3 to 5 years, (SOME) of these trees can get quite large and planting them within short distances may not be idea…

Dear Guek Rian, 1. In my opinion, don't shift your heavy projection TV as yet. 2. Basically, each floor has a certain kilo newton weight load bearing. 3. More importantly, the concept of clear space is directed at the main entrance area. Distinct from what is placed above this structure. With sufficient engineering load bearing for the upper floors, since the location where you placed the projector is not the main entrance area; there is relatively no issue here. Therefore, do not apply the mountain star too rigidly or literally speaking. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rameshwaran, Please see below:- 1. If it is the bedroom, then allow as much `clear space' around the centre area of the bedroom. 2. There is usually no way to squeeze out enhancements at sectors that one should not activate water positions e.g. in the bedroom. 3. This is equally similar to mountain stars - found. 3.1 For example: If a mountain star is found at the frontage of the house e.g. main entrance - as much as we would like to `activate' something e.g. a mountain star to activate luck -- this is not possible or feasbile. 3.2 "It is like placing a mountain at the frontage" of the house. Where water or clear space is required." 4. Therefore, it is best a…

Dear Anon, 1. Frankly, this question should not be posted in this forum. Since, in my opinion, there is no such cure under Feng Shui. 2. But, seriously, lets hope your neighbour moves away. 3. These are some of the `hints' which has nothing to do with ME or with Feng Shui. So, here goes: 3.1 Wish for more rain. Heavy rain would make sure that your neighour cannot get a puff outside the home. 3.2 Pay a Feng Shui practitioner to "feng shui" your neighbour's home. Make sure, you choose a very Lousy Feng Shui practitioner. One who will cause more harm than good:) 3.3 If all else fails, seriously, get your home air cleaners such as hepa cleaners ...e.g. Honeywell, Sharp plasma…

Lion

Dear Micky, If they are tiny lions, then often not an issue because of it's size. Usually, these should be considered more of a decorative item than anything else. Under the Five elements concept; lions are considered as a metal element. And often, it two huge lions are facing our door, then, the best approach is to place a red banner over our door. Or a red-semi-circular carpet radiating outwards of our main door. Under the Five elements concept: Lion = metal element Under the destructive cycle of the Five elements concept:- Fire destroys or melts metal. Reference link:http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Thus, fire (red) can be used to neut…

Hi Anon, As for the kitchen, the base star is star 6, so the appearance of the star 5 means that an inauspicious star enters into that sector for the year. However, given that there is a Strong Metal influence, this star 5 has less impact on this sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Christine, christine palmer wrote: I have been trying to sell 2 out of state properties. will either sell in the next 30 or so days? Or any advice on how to sell them? You should understand that Feng Shui by no means a miracle cure for all problems. In terms of selling property, probably some of these practical points will help you more:- 1. Ensuring the place you are selling looks clean. Or give it a fresh coat of paint to make it look new. 2. Make use of the strengths of a building to sell it (ie located near like public transport - trains, convienent location, near schools etc). 3. Get a good property agent who has lots of contacts can improve the sales. Other…

Dear Diane, Ideally, (in my opinion) the centre-point of the home should have clear space. However, in your case, as you had mentioned, the stairs at at the centre and closet. For this you may have not much you can do to redress this situation as it is physically there. It is too premature to say what is causing your fiancial problems at this moment. You should (frist) try to check for `threats' towards the home i.e. stand at the main entrance door/window to look for `poision arrows' that may be aimed towards the home. Other considerations are the Shapes and Form of the overal house (external, internal environment check). Or to use Compass School techniques. Warmest Regar…

Dear Jen, Let's take alook at commonsense approach to Feng Shui. Often, the most convenient place to walk in and out of various rooms is a passage-way. Here, imagine a passage way (or clear space at the centrepoint of the home). In better Feng Shui homes, this corridor or area is the `flux' or centrepoint of a home. A low set of sofa furniture is still ok, since, it represents clear space i.e. nothing at this `centrepoint' that is as high as a wall. Please note that it does not necessary mean that all homes must have clear space here. It depends. What is not so favourable are locations like: a toilet / toilet bowl and a kitchen's stove etc... Under commonsense approach t…

Dear Lola, The good news is that this year, the location of Grand Duke is at South-South West direction and not South direction. If your house is going to be completed this year or early next year (before the next lunar new year); your home is considered a Period 7 home (born or renewed during this period). I personally think that there should not be an issue with `offending' the grand duke for your home. Often, the safest method is for some people is to: 1. Move out during the renovations. 2. If this is not practical or possible, try not to supervise the work done. (For example, don't stand there to watch the ongoing renovation work.) Also wanted Given a landed prop…

Hi Anon, Yes, Wood by default destroy Earth. This is what we call the destructive cycle of the five element. However, there is a big difference between Weak or Strong Earth. a weak Earth is where you need Fire and Earth to make your weak Earth stronger. However, for a Strong Earth, it means you already have too much of Fire and Earth. Thus, whatever helps you reduce the excessive Earth is good for you. So Wood and Metal helps to control the Strong Earth. So that is why for you Wood becomes your favourable element. East (Wood) and SE (Wood) is a favourable element for a Strong Earth. There is nothing wrong about it. You just have to understand the weak and strong nature…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I had generated the 8 house report for both myself and my husband based on our date of birth. From the report I realised my husband and I have totally opposite directions. What is good for me is bad for him. E.g. my East is prosperity but his East is irritation. Anonymous wrote: In this situation, what can we do? Whose 8 house report should we follow? This is actually a very commonly asked question. Often in a household, the husband is usually considered the breadwinner as he provides for the entire family. Or the one earning most to sustain the family. So you need to first determine whether it is you or your husband. Very likely it woul…

http://www.ens-newswire.com/PERSONAL_PICTURES/hThank you so much for your service. I have learned so much from the free forums that I am planning to sign up for the entire course. I am renting a condominium that is troublesome to me. I have suffered both health and financial problems since I moved in here. The door is facing directly north and there are several vertical posts as well as a steel handrail in front of the door. I have posted pictures both from inside and outside. Is there any way I can offset this negative influence or should I move to a new home?

Dear Anon, Please accept my condolences. I believe many of us share your grief and understand what you are going thru. Life has to basically go on in his memory. Hope that you can continue to enrich your life and make him proud. Life is also a yo-yo and there are ups and downs. Certain aspects of Feng Shui can help to reduce deaths due to `accidents/disasters' but if it due to the process of old age, all of us are not immune to it. I am really short for words at this moment but..Do take care of your health! Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. If you intend to DIY Feng Shui then, there are a host of concepts relating to first finding out whether are there are "wealth leaks" say in your home:-http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/Main_Page#Key_Success_Factors_in_D.I.Y._Feng_Shui 2. Thus what you had mentioned is too general to say for sure what is wrong. 3. Alternatively, you may want to consider getting a Geomancer to "troubleshoot" for you e.g. your home Feng Shui etc...

1. The Eight House or East / West Group is based on the premise of either spending time at a sector and/or also nice-to face a good direction. (Full Stop). 2. One should not drag this concept into other situations as what you are trying to "drag it down to". 3. Thus activating say a SW sector has no association with the above. 4. Anyway, what you are trying to apply is "static" Feng Shui that does not take into account time dimensions. 5. A far more professional approach is to apply time dimension in Feng Shui. 5.1 For example;to draw up a Flying Star chart and in-particular; try to disarm #3. And if possible activate Mountain Star #8 and Water Star #8. 5.2 #3 re…

Dear Jen, There are several other ways of looking at this: 1. Wealth creation model of Five Elements Under the destructive cycle, one will for example, notice that METAL destroys WOOD. In order for METAL to destroy wood, metal has to be strong. For example, a scupture has a piece of wood. He makes much effort using metal implements to curve it into an art object. The original piece of the wood costs say $5. But as an art object, it may depending on the work done fetch him much much more. For a Strong metal person, therefore, his wealth element is Wood element. Similarly for a Strong Water person, his wealth element is Fire element. 2. However, if a person is considered a…
