Dear Winn, In general, without further detailed analysis, there is (in my opinion) relatively `low risks' or harm in placing 6 coins on the door knob. As mentioned in various forum messages, majority of cures is the use of METAL element. A little more METAL, should not create problems for many. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Teng, Usually, this is considered as an issue but in an apartment as you had mentioned below, not possible to relocate it. For Feng Shui problems, often, there are two or more major flaws within a home to cause us problems. Thus on it's own, it is still acceptable. But if there are more issues in a home, it will add to the problems. Try to make sure that there are if possible, no other major issues in a home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wong Paul, Wong paul wrote: Mr Lee, Care to elaborate how can I improve the flying star of my house. thanks Just like what we kept mentioning from time to time. You must identify what are leaks in the home. So for flying star, do a flying star analysis of the home. Once you have done a flying star chart, identify where are the trouble stars ie star 5 and star 2. If they fall in key areas of the house (ie living room/bedroom etc). These stars should be neutralised with metal. Even like star 3 and star 4, these are stars often related to lawsuits / romance stars. If they are present in especially bedroom etc, these are sectors that need to be balance off. Often wi…

Hi, My apartment main door faces the elevator directly and our family has run into several bad luck lately. I read about hanging a bagua mirror above the main door and that it can have adverse effect if done wrongly. I am living in US and our management won't allow us to have thingsabove the door. Are there any other remedies besides hanging the bagua mirror? Iris

Dear Anon, This sounds very familiar recently. This is because nearly everyone who got their keys at The Eden condo at Tampines are `cursing' their developer. Fortunately, many of those who got their keys in the first phase - several of my clients there, are fortunate to have the kitchen at the `South' location. If the kitchen is at the south, this if acceptable i.e. OK to have the stove face a water position. In general; the most inauspicious is the kitchen is at the north of the house. (For example, if one stands at the centrepoint and use a compass. If the kitchen is at the north direction; this is not very favourable. To be honest; the only Feng Shui remedy is to r…

1. The three most common remedies, used are: 1.1. A bushy tree or plant & /or 1.2.A six hollow rod wind chime or 1.3. A conVEX mirror 2. If one is unable to fully block e.g. currently the tree is still immature or if winter, not much leaves than either 1.2 or 1.3 MAY be used. 3. Other types of Remedies (some require alteration works:- 3.1. In Asia, often homes have fences and gates. These gates may have screens and often closed. Thus if it cannot be seen it no longer becomes a threat. 3.2. Some Geomancers may advise the tilting of the main door.

五黄 Wǔhuáng Frankly, like time, we cannot go back to reverse it. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best. In general, it depends on what type of home one stays in:- 1. landed property Here; if you have a garden, then your landscaping can form a "profile" of the missing corner. And depending on the extend, sometimes even a strategic lamp post can be used as a marker. Thus from a helicopter view, one can see the "missing corner" filled up. 2. Apartments Usually, and depends on the interior of the home, mirror in-side the home (north) sector can help to "extend" the missing corner. Alternatively, depending on circumstances, a concave mirror may be placed outside to "suck" back the missing corner wealth. Some Chinese practitioners ask their clients to place certain objects a…

Dear Tess, Frankly, since the railway tracks are very close, it would seem that it will be part of your daily lives. It is not like closing one's eyes and wishing it away. Perhaps, the sound or vibration would be there. One may have to get used to it. The only consolation is to see where possible, if additional sound proofing could be used e.g. closing the side of windows facing the tracks or insulation or curtains, to reduce the noise. This may sound too advanced, but nowadays, work is going on into "noise cancellations - devices" that may neutralise it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Logically, if it is a "new" as in brand new home; there is no issue with construction be it good or bad sectors. Thus if you really mean NEW; then a newly built home from scratch is a very common thing: For example, someone booked a terrace home and it is under construction and have not even moved in yet. Is this is a case of over-reacting? Move-in procedures can be found under this url: http://info.geomancy.net and the usual practise of selecting a good date to move-in. For the Chinese, they don't really like to move in on the lunar 6th month; 7th month and the month of the Qing Ming also. Dear Master, I read in a Flying Star Feng Shui book by a famous author that you can change the Flying Star natal chart of the house by remodeling. i.e. if you have a house that is built in period 5, you can change the house into a period 7 (if remodeled in period 7) or period 8 (if remodeled in period 8) house by putting in new roof and new carpeting or flooring. Thus the old house would have a new natal chart in the remodeled year instead of original built year. Is this a valid statement? So if I buy a house that has bad flying star natal chart, I can remodel the house and make it have more auspicious flying star natal chart based on the new period. Thank you in advance …

Dear Anon, 1. It is my advise that if your family face so much problems and if they are not staying together but separate: 2. It is acceptable to exhume the grave but: 2.1 This has to be done by experienced grave diggers. I have a very short writeup at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/exhume.htm 2.2. Usually, once exhumed, it is best to cremate the bones. 2.3. Cremation is considered neutral and will accordingly, will not affect the `decendants'. A place can be found at a crematorium to house the ashes of the dead. Alternatively, the ashes can be dispersed into the sea. This is done by many cultures and symbollically, your grandmother can be close to your grandfather as the sea…

Frankly, even for Catholics, why is there so much concern of taboos especially for dismantling and post mantling? For regilious matters, since you are Catholic, you easily just approach your church elders (fathers or sisters) if you are still so concern about such things.

In my opinion, there is really no need to hang anything above a toilet door. For example, there are even some who hang a short curtain above the door. Commonsense says that if we don't regularly wash it; it will be full of germs or bateria in no time.

Thanks Master Cecil for your advise. I will maintain the existing door. When I generate the 'Eight House Report' from your website. I got to know that North is my 'death' direction. My house currently is facing North direction. Does it means that is bad for me? Is there any way to overcome this? Please advise. Thanks.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it ok tostart renovating my house during the ching ming period? In general, there is a stigma attached to it. As some are worried to do any of such activities like 1st time open door of a new house, start of renovations or move-in during Qing Ming period. However, hope this helps you to understand better: Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. Although, there are three kinds of luck:- 1.1. Heaven or born with 1.2. Earth or Feng Shui 1.3. Human or man luck factors (feelings: comfortable, unease etc..) 2. Often even if one has "technically perfect" ways to place say a bedhead or study direction; often, it is how comfortable one feels or one's feelins count MOST! 3. Thus, one can get the Feng Shui 100 percent suppose to be correct; but if the person who say occupies a bedroom don't feel comfortable via the Feng Shui suggestion; also no use. 4. Thus ultimately the Human or Man factors has a high weigthage over Earth luck! 5. In this real life example, this baby girl of 5 years ol…

1. In my opinion, since you stated that the home is vacant; 2. There is no issue for you to do renovations this year be it at East or other sectors so long as you have not moved into THAT home. 3. Thus, even if you were to do 10 or 20 renovations prior to move-in; there is no issue. 4. This is based on the concept of a remote control. Here, if you don't stay in that home; you cannot use a "remote control" to control your home. 5. However, if you had already moved-in to the home even after the 10 or 20 renovations; and "touch" or "disturb" East sector; then this is different. 5.1. Thus say after move-in; you don't like the wall colour at East and decided to repaint it a…

Usually, the most obvious concern of this home is the 'T'junction that you had mentioned. In particular, the most vuneral part of the home is to check whether the main entrance or windows are "exposed" to this 'T'junction. If the main enrnace door or windows are exposed towards the 'T'junction, a cluster of bushes may not be as effective. Usually, the most effective is a "solid" wall or fencing would be better or safer. So long as one does not as yet stay in the new home, anytime of the year is OK to start renovations. However, if one has already moved-in; best for this year to avoid renovations especially at the NW (Grand Duke location which is the main door) and Wes…

Dear Maggie, 1. Yes, what you had described is a Chinese cultural belief or taboo. 2. And, many Chinese fear of repercussions such as not only complications but - the concern of a miscarriage. 3. This is especially so for the bed. For example, once pregnant, the Chinese believe that one must not shift or relocate the bed (on which the pregnant person sleeps on). 4. Even if one needs to move house; for example, NO CHOICE because they had sold the house before delivery, the pregnant person must avoid seeing the event i.e. moving her bed etc.... 5. As for the renovations in the kitchen, the stove is a major concern also. And where possible try not to remove the sto…

Dear Sophia, Frankly, the Eight House theory has it's limitations. This is because often once we have already bought the home (a fully completed home), we are not able change the interior of the home such as the toilets or major wall structures. It is best therefore that for a completed home, it is good to try to apply the Flying Star Theory to check for any imbalances and correct them. As to flying to Period 8 and the many ways of doing so without a major renovation, please do a SEARCH in this forum for this topic since it has been extensively covered especially in the beginning of this year if one does not want to do a major renovation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Shinta, Often, especially if one is doing DIY Feng Shui; should if possible also draw out a Flying Star Chart of your home. The purpose is to: 1. identify areas that need or require correction(s) if any and or to 2. Enhance certain sectors. The rationale for drawing a Flying Star Chart is thus to understand what are the intangible forces at a specific sector. In most instances, there is no harm placing a set of six-coins especially if there are sectors found with #5 or #2. But may not be too good if the sector has Mountain Star #8 etc... as it may hurt this wealth sector. In addition, a bottle gourd is traditionally used also to neutralise #5 or #2. And often …
