Dear Anon, It does not matter if it is N-NE, NW-SE. But rather, often, the entrance is at the frontage of the building. And, if often also, open car parks are most conveniently location at the frontage or surrounding / around the perimeter of the building - taking into consideration, the movement in and out of the building. For example, in some larger buildings with only open car park, cars are often parallel parked in a one-way direction. Where vehicles come in at one direction and exit another direction. It also depends on the shape of the plot of land plus the outline of the plot of land. For example, if the front has only room for the entrance, but the back of th…

Dear Angelina, Yes, it is very common to find windchimes with varying or different lengths. This is perfectly OK. Usually, some of them have clinger or the middle coin attached to it - being too heavy to make any sound. (I suspect only a hurricane or a typhoon sized wind may cause it to make a sound. *JOKE*) The better windchimes are those with alluminium rod with a wooden "roof/support" and a wooden clinger. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, Unfortunately, not everyone are cut out to do business. There are people with very good business acumen others are simply not cut out to do business at all. Business success or failure depends on the business model and the demand and supply of the business. If you choose a wrong business to enter, even the best business person may not be able to make it work. Furthermore, in today's society, it isn't easy to start a business that will be successful. This is because if you create a business that is so successful, competition will follow and you will have less and less to make. So I won't feel too disappointed. That's life. However, if you work hard for it, …

Dear Wang Jing, Comparing the Mountain vs Water star to yield 81 combinations 1. House Number analysis or also known as Flying Star (Vertical analysis) is based only on the eighty-one combinations to interpret each floor. 2. This eighty-one interpretation is also used under the 20 Year / Yearly or even monthly Flying Star (horizontal analysis). 3. It is the relationship of star combinations like e.g. #5 mountain with #2 water stars that produce an interpetation such as "sickness or illness in relation with stomach, hands or legs. 4. Thus, since only this eighty-one combinations are permutated or looked at, there is no issue of using it in either Period 7 or 8 or for other…

Dear Geok Tin, 1. An office environment is different from a home. 2. Unless; one is the CEO or senior positions or do not have a personal room; frankly, there is very little one can do to or next to impossible to change the working desk direction. 3. Nowadays, many office use system furniture and it is next to impossible to tilt or change it's direction. 4. Honestly, you would have to depend more on "Human Luck". Nowadays, I do understand that many of us have `low morale' and tend to worry about things like restructing or retrenchments. 5. However, look at it this way: the more we worry, the more, we get into a vicious cycle of such thoughts. 6. In my opinion, "nervousnes…

Hello Sir / Ma'm, My family and me would be moving into our new house by Sept 2013. I was just looking at the floor plan of my new house coming by sep 2013. I would like to know which part of my house has a protrusion and which has a missing corner. The layout confuses me. And what do i need to do going forward. Look forward to hear from you. Thanking you in advance for your advice. Regards Bobby

Dear Maria, From the perspective of the Flying Star Compass School, it is advisable to identify the Water Star. For instance, during Period 7, the position of water wealth corresponds to the Water Star = #7. Additionally, during Period 7, it is common to hear references to "double 7's". If you have reviewed some of the discussions in this forum, spanning from several years ago to last year, you will find that this is the optimal location for activating the water star. In Period 8, make an effort to determine the location of the water star #8. If one has even a slight understanding of what I am "referring" to, it is advisable not to inquire about "…

Dear Sharose, Thanks for the picture. Perhaps it is a coincidence that you got flu (i.e. maybe duly worried and have lowered your resistence to flu). From a Feng Shui point of view, in my opinion, there seems to be no issue with the neighbour's fence. However, I cannot see your main entrance, but looking at the roof of the neighbour's home is pointed towards roughly your foot-path towards your main door? If so, this can be a sha-qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Please do not be unduly alarmed. 2. This is because, in the earlier case study; I specifically mentioned that there were instances of an `unclean' temple. 3. Since, you had clearly indicated that a temple or place of worship does not exits; you should not be worried about the situation, 4. If the is no temple, just look out for an additional situation i.e. a lone tall tree (trunk) at the NE or right side of the home. 5. Another senario of the above case study is that the set of Flying Stars at NE of the home that I had mentioned were `too yin' or had many yin stars that flew into that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ann, Frankly, in my opinion, I don't see any issue or problem using it. So long as, it should not be visible when one stands inside the home. This is because, symbolically, it is not good that we in our home see a "sha qi" or poison arrow. This is much like the concept: if we are to place e.g. a twin lion, it should preferably to plump (prosperous), smiling (harmonious) vs a fierce and ferocious item. Do try it and perhaps, do let know, later if it helps or not. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Since, the tree slices into the house (thru the main entrance): this is considered inauspicous. Or a threat to the house. The cul-de-sac is an added `burden' to the house. Thus, this is two bad / bad situations. No, it does not mean here that the cul-de-sac metal slices into the wood tree. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, Yes, that is indeed correct. In fact the center of the house where all the energy converged, should be left empty if possible. So in this case, it is definately more ideal if you look for another better house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, There are two levels of suitability which you can check:- 1. Eight House - Which shows you which of the 4 directions is good or bad. 2. Ba Zi Element - ie weak Wood is favourable for Water (North etc). For house direction, in either case, if you already choose a house which isn't suitable for you, there is no way you can force the house to suit you unless you move to a house that have the direction favourable for you. But ideally, if a house isn't favourable to you and as long as it isn't your death or disaster, then it isn't too bad yet. However, if the house is considered death or disaster, then in the long run you will benefit from moving to a more suit…

Dear Bri, 1. You can see the interpretation of "missing" corners or protusions under the url:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm 2. Frankly, it is difficult for me to comment on non-traditional Feng Shui information as mentioned by your message with regards to career wall ... my front door etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vu, 1. Based on our experience, it one is assessing only your apartment unit, than from the centrepoint of the house, locate where is the main door. 2. If the apartment is only one level or storey; then determine the centrepoint and from here find out where is the direction of the main door. 3. If the apartment has two or more levels, determine where is the main entrance to this apartment. From the centrepoint, find the direction of the main door. 4. If one is trying to do a Feng Shui audit for the entire block, then, this is different from Para 2. and 3. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Master Lee, I realised that my master bedroom toilet is located in the SW of the house. I read online that the possible solutions are not to use the toilet, use of plants or put windchimes. As it's not that possible that we stop using the toilet, are there any other remedy? Can we just make use of plants? Thank you.

Dear Anon, The situation you faced is often very common. This is because one must understand: 1. The Tong Shu dates are often very general advise. Since it is not customised to the couple(s). 2. Many Feng Shui practitioners look into the couple's ba zi to see if the date is suitable for both (or not). 3. In addition, it is good to check whether the date is suitable for the parents and parents-in-law. If not, one way is to wear some colour(s) that is favourable to their ba zi. 4. Cannot interpret the gabbled posting "????". Most of the time, Chinese prefer not to get married during the 7th lunar month. Warmest Regards, Cecil Thanks. Edmond

Dear Desma, The first thing we need to know is that Feng Shui is about balance. For small objects or items such as a ring, it really does not matter. I usually apply the 33.3 percent ruleset. Where, if the item is not greater than the above either in mass, volume or area, it does not really matter that much. Furthermore, I believe, the sharp corners of the diamond should not pose any problems. A square diamond ring, can be considered of the `Earth' element if we talk interms of its shape and some would consider that it is derived from the earth, it is thus an Earth element. (Square shape represents Earth element). In some other culture perhaps, I am not sure if square dia…

Dear Wincash, Please see below:- In the second place, it is good that you advise the inexperience practitioner not to practise looking at dates:) Thirdly, even if one wants to stay in an abandon home; the only rationale I could think of are: 1. A fugitive running away from the law 2. Refugees running away from war 3. A movie company making a film and often, we find the heroes running into abandon homes. What do you think? Often, those who haunt `haunted' houses want to chase humans away from their domain (home). So, why would they want to follow the practitioner home? In the past, or quite recently, I had written about evil people who intentionally "breed" bad spi…

Hi Anon, 1. If you are referring to two person say having the same element (ie weak water), then the answer is yes it is absolutely possible. In fact it is pretty common. Birth element can only have 10 different possibilities from weak/strong combination of 5 different elements. So very common. However, though both might have the same birth element, the ba zi luck will be different for the two person unless, the two person is about 60 years apart where there might be a possibility that the same birth chart might occur but very rare. 2. It is very common that two person will have opposite Eight House Chart. ie West is Excellent for one but Spook for the other. The way…

Correction: No (2) question should have read 5,1,7 (mountain, base, water) instead of 5,7,7. BTW, is it bad to locate a bedroom in this sector? as the 7 metal controls the bad 5 earth or do I still need to add metal. Apologies for any inconvenience. Awaiting your advice. Keith C
