Further to what I had mentioned, if the glass blocks are squarish or rectangular - piled together to form a "wall", this is OK. Do avoid circular glass blocks - much like the pothole of a ship or those found on a ship i.e. circular windows. Here, circle is considered not auspicious especially since it could symbolise a "sinking" ship. Where, the pothole of a ship seeps in water and thus sinks a ship. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Yes, this is one option. But from past experience, it may not be that effective especially with regards to the Flying Star Feng Shui. Since, often, the facing direction is the frontage and the sitting is directly opposite this. It has more to do with the Eight House theory. Where, we can kill two birds with one stone. For example, if the main door is at NE. Tilting it, to the favourable direction of the breadwinner is good - chiefly if we apply Eight House theory. For Flying Star Feng Shui, often, it is the location with most light or wind activity - and this is where we should determine where the "mouth" of the house is based on where the entire plot is "fac…

Frankly, look at it this way, you are there to take a reading and you did say that your reading of the facade was something like S1. I have already mentioned my views on tilting a door e.g. from S1 to S2. Overall; no geomancer is on the ground. Thus, the ball is on your court. If your reading is accurate; fine. But if it is G.I.G.O. then really.. (full stop) P.S. For new members; what is G.I.G.O. can be found under this sample link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27534&new=

Thanks for the prompt answer Master Lee. As you'e said, NE facing isn't really that bad. The overall structure is best though, except for where it faces, also, I failed to mention, upon opening the main door from inside, you can see a water tower in a distance, most likely in the east but is a bit far and cannot cast a shadow. Are there any effect on us?

Dear Cecil Unfortunately the sw,w, nw are window facing. This the room facing the hdb walkway which have the big windows. The only area I can have the table is to tilt a bit or can the table face the window for my boy? The tilting is about few degree difference.

Dear Anon, Frankly, we have conducted at least greater than 9,000 Feng Shui audits based on the influence on China timing. We still feel that this is accurate for the following reasons: 1. Many Masters use Pillars of Destiny use only the Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. Furthermore, time of birth can even be left out if not known. 2. Some people give the false notion that it must be based on GMT time. But GMT time even has been changed in 1980 or other periods for some countries. 3. Chinese timing is based on two hourly timings unlike the 1 hour time we are used to. 4. Even if we want to consider latitude, we must also consider longitude in such a senario where GMT ti…

1.In my opinion, the lowest common denominator is the five elements concept. 2. How easy to apply a model or concept. So long as the concepts and method are sound, it is based on how easily it can be properly understood and applied. 3. Ultimately, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is in my opinion most critical. Feng Shui cannot live without Shapes and Forms, but may survive without Flying Star and it's variant. 4. Thus in my opinion, if the concepts or models are based on Flying star, even the distant cousin nine star key belongs to this school.

Dear Carrie, We have been looking into this issue for quite sometime. Initially, we were toying with time zones but based on the work done by Robert and myself, we prefer to take the season or time of influence from China. Let me explan why:- 1. Countries like Singapore is exactly on the same time zone as Beijing China. Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan are equally within the same time zone. Even Perth Australia is exactly on the same time belt as Beijing. The rationale is because Chinese hour is two hours and not one hour. 2. Some western FS practioners use the time zone but did not take into account both the longetude and latitude. Bearing in mind these two influences, fo…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: How to adjust for time zone difference when entering birtth time in a ba zi calculation if the person was born outside of China? Please read my previous reply from this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=20607&new= To summarise, it is not necessary to apply any timezone changes when generating reports from our website. Hi, Please read below:- Actually, if you look at it realistically. Why do you ever want to put a painting or candles in the bathroom? I mean won't the steam from hot/warm water, damage it or put our the candles? So far from what I know of this, I don't find anything wrong with having shower curtains. I don't think that belongs to any Feng Shui related issues. The rational behind it is that if you notice that flying star always changes, and it is definitely possible for the bad stars to fall in any one of the true sectors (eg 0 degree, 45 degree etc). So when this happens the good chi which say happens to be southwest this year would go down the drain? So, because…

Dear Anon, After taking a second look at your sketch, althought the sketch is not to scale, but based on your sketch, the stove seems to be close to or at the centrepoint of the home. Based on one criteria of Shapes and Forms Feng shui, where possible, a fire position should not occupy the centrepoint of the home. Should the cross lines of your compass marking (thru scale) does not cut into the centrepoint = stove then, it is ok. This is especially true especially where a toilet bowl should where where possible not be at the centrepoint, also. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. The true essence of Feng Shui is to: - correct any imbalances or sha qi/poison arrows. - enhance beneifical Qi. If one looks at the above carefully, there is a distinction between enhancing Qi and `beliefs' Chinese or otherwise. 2. We commonly hear that a rabbit's foot is `lucky' or hanging a horseshoe is `lucky'. 3. Since what you have mentioned do not directly relate to the `terms of reference' under Feng Shui, it is anybody's guess that any if all beliefs will work. Sometimes it is psychological. Which may result in one thinking positive and thus contribute to `luck'. 4. As the action e.g. is not tailored to an individual, one cannot say for sure that it …

Dear Anon, 1. The best is often to move out of the home during the renovation period. 2. For the Chinese, it is best to pray facing the grand duke. For example, it can be a simple apology by saying: "Apologies or sorry to disturb you, as I have to start renovations, soon. Some Chinese offer two incense sticks with 5 fruits on a plate to applease the god. As for the Five yellow or work required outside of the home place some metal between the home and the work to be carried out. Otherwise, can still do the above prayer to the spirits of the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

The slope has a lot of greens and some flowers grown and mAintained very well by the association. Drainage done very well too. Los angeles seldom rain, very dry and drought. Please advise if this is bad fengshui and what can I do to correct the bad fengshui? Should i add tall trees? My backyard is narrow not huge. The house number seems good it is ‘868’. Photo attached. Dear Joan, To be more accurate, usually, the three components are looked at i.e. MS#, WS# and Base # to come to a better understanding of that specific sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Khairul, 1. In my opinion, there are many books available on Shapes and Form Feng Shui. 2. In architecture or interior design, Shapes and Form is the most applicable. 3. Other than the above, `space clearing' is a common topic. 4. Under this website, you can find many free resources: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/map.htm Particuarly, main topics like: The Landscape, The Site and The Home. 5. Alternatively, you can get like one user mentioned: Basic Feng Shui by Lillian Too. Many of her other books are either repetition or have in my opinion, many contradictions. Alternatively, get books that have a good mix of pictures/illustration and wordings (explanations). Warmest R…
