Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1. Is adding a men-made waterfall at northern house corner which is at left hand side of main door auspicious? Without doing a detailed analysis of your home, there is no way anyone can advise you whether it is good or not. This is only a free advise forum, as such I can only give you some guide to follow. If the flying star sector of your home at the Northern House corner, contains the auspicious Water star , then you can activate your auspicious water star with the water feature. You need to determine what is your current flying star ie period 7 or period 8. Period 7, then activating water star 7 or 8 will be favourable for you. If your hom…

1. In general, based on the general concept of water in Feng Shui; for majority of homes other than those that have been determined to have UP mountain (or frontage having mountain position); 2. Generally, water feature at most sites and home's frontage are generally acceptable. 3. The only concern in water Feng Shui principles is the difference between digging a hole to place water e.g. a dug up area in the garden to place a pond. Here, if there is a mountain star #8 at the sector; this is very inauspicious; as it is like digging a hole; place water to DROWN the mountain. 4. Generally, the safest bet if one is igorant of Flying Star numbers is to simply install a water …

These are the following assumptions:- 1. As you had not mentioned the birth chart of the apartment: if it is a Period 7: 1984 to 2003; then:- 1.1 It is disadvantages to place a water feature atyour proposed location markedin RED as "C". Depending on whether it is aSW2 or NE2 facing direction, a water feature, there may inadvertently inflame a star #3 at that sector. 1.2Especially ifit is a SW2 facing direction, then the water wealth is at marking "A". While marking B is suppose to be theauspicious indirectauspicious water wealth spirit sector. 1.3 WARNING or NOTE: 1.3.1 If the apartment is a Period 8, NE2, then best to avoid a water feature at Marking "A". Whil…

Dear Vun Fook, Earlier, on my reply on the white-tiger location, yes, besides the compass direction of West, SW etc...: another major consideration is the Flying Star chart of that specific location. I have just scanned thru your message, but did not fully understand it. But for the star chart of 5ms 2 ws and 7, yes, with such a combination, a third element water is useful here. Under the Five elements concept: Earth -> Metal -> Water Since #5 and #2 are bad earth; Metal can help to draw out some of these earth. But not enough. In fact, this location should have `more metal' to help to further balance #5 and #2. A double edged sword is #7 weak earth. During this cur…

Dear Weiqi, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui:- Yes, if possible, it is best to avoid having a water position at the centrepoint of the home - as this may affect one's finance. (Shapes and Forms consideration. Flying Star Feng Shui:- This is especially so for Period 8 homes or homes born, or had a major renovation done on or after 2004. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the base star at the centre-of-the-home is #8. And since this is an auspicious mountain star "earth" element: a water position, here will inevitably drown the auspicious #8 for the period. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- In general, the frontage of the home should have `clear space'. One has to be `careful' of water feature i.e. it should allow clear space at the frontage. Thus a pool of water at ground level repesents such a clear space. A water fountain e.g. circular one can also be considered a water position that provides clear space. However, a fish tank those that has standing legs do not necessary represent clear space as it may be quite high. Here, it looks more like a `mountain of water'. In your situation, between placing a water position after the door and placing it outside the frontage: it is best or preferred to place a water position outsi…

Dear Fran, At a location which you had described i.e. mountain #8 with water #8, then this is known as a double #8. And under Period 8, this is considered an auspicious combination: 1. Virtual water In certain situations, for one reason or another, some may not be able to activate water at this specific location. For example, if this is the front door and on the exterior, it could be a lobby shared with other subsidiary proprietors or tenants. Here, since the main entrance is at the frontage with double #8's no real water - is acceptable. 2. If one stays in a landed property, one can have a pond, as you had mentioned, right in front of the house. Ideally, the water …

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, if your home is currently a Period 7 home, you should also investigate or map out your home using Period 8 East 2/3 chart to see if this chart has any particular benefit: Especially if you have the living room at the west or the back of the home. If so, and if other sectors are better, you may / should consider flying to it if it is found to be a better chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Frankly, after reading several of your messages, hope I don't mind saying that you are really "impatient" to apply Fast Food Feng Shui! 2. Isn't it better to know all the facts rather than do DIY Feng Shui. Or leading the blind to guide you! Quote: Ellen E. wrote: Thinking ofcontructing a 4 ft x 2 ft pond for water lily, lotusand other water plants at the left side of my gate. Can I build the pond outside my fancing? 3. For example, you make the above statement. And expect me with all the "blind" unknown variable and adivse you whether it is good or not to built a pond outside your fencing? This is not right! I might as well use a dice and throw it and then give you …

Dear Anooja, Under this current Period 8: 1. Past prosperity sectors are WS:7 and/or MS:7 This is already considered as past prosperity and not worth activating unless there is a double 7 (which in this case, a water position can be used to drown it). 2. Present prosperity sectors are now WS:8 and/or MS:8 If the sector meets the conditions e.g. if there is clear space such as in a living room and if this location has WS:8, then water can be used to activated wealth here. Similiarly check to see if a mountain star can be activated at section with MS:8 3. Future prosperity Since we are under Period 8, we should not forget about #9 since #9 is known as the future pro…

Dear Anon, 1.Overall, one has to check to see where is the `frontage' of the house. In most homes it is usually where the `living' room faces a direction. As it is difficult to say that one model fits all, if say the `frontage' of your house is facing the direction i.e. at the `back patio room' then a water position may still be acceptable. 2. In Traditional Feng Shui, we usually look at two other factors: 2.1 The breadwinners true element and strength. For example, if one is a weak fire and strong water person, it is best to avoid having a water position in the home. For a weak fire person, the addition of a water element may `extinguish' one's `fire'. While too much wat…

Dear Anon, Frankly, this may not be a good idea. Real water in the room, in my opinion, may harbour germs. Plus you had also mentioned dampness in the bedroom. Especially since, this water is not cleaned at all. In my opinion, I do not see a problem with a TV set in the bedroom: 1. Many of us read too many Feng Shui books `warning' us about having a tv set in the bedroom. The chief reason is: that the screen `acts' like a mirror. 2. But I have often mentioned that, this is not an issue for many people. 3. There are many people who have shifted home, or placed a tv set in their bedroom. And, do we ever hear of "Mr A moved to a new home. Placed a tv set in this bedroom. He …

1. The clue here is that the Chinese Luck system is a holistic approach. 2. Thus, any person (human being)or thing (house) that has a birth-date should be considered. 3. Thus as a human being has a date of birth, I am sure a home also has especially it's date of completion where a Temporary Occupational Permit (TOP) has to be given. 4. The location where the partition has to be investigated. For example, for the home, a Flying Star chart should be constructed to determine whether a water position is suitable say at the main entrance area OR NOT. 5. Similiarly, the difference between bogus Feng Shui and authethic Feng Shui is that Ba Zi has to be factored in. Ba zi when us…

Hi Cecil Thanks for your advice. Currently, the water feature is on a separate table at a lower level than where the Kuan Yin is seated. As suggested, I will try to place a lotus leaf (real or artificial) in the water feature as well. Thanks.

Dear Rick, Usually, in an office environment, enhancements are made following two considerations:- 1. Self 2. The business 1. Self 1.1 For self, usually, it has to be looked into in consideration of that person's Ba Zi. 1.2 First of all determine one's favourable, unfavourable elements. 1.3 For example, if you are a weak wood person, water element is favourable. Since water helps weak wood to grow. 1.4 But if say, one is a "weak fire" person, then, adding a water feature may inadvertently extinguish your flame. - Inauspicious. More often a water feature, especially if it makes a lound sound may not be appropriate in a room. Unless, it is small and non-intrusive (distracti…

Prominent Flower of romance can be said to "originate" froma home:- 1. Please take note ofsome of the characteristics of homes that may be affected by such activity:- 1.1. North-west sector of the home: Usually this type of home may have a missing corner at NW or NW is located at the kitchen area. And the rest usually has more to do with the male having an illicit affair. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the tell tale signs are usually the presence of #3 star at this sector. 1.2 South-West sector Again, it can be a missing corner or the arrival of #3 at that sector. 2. Having two or more stoves Having one stove at say the dry and another at the wet kitchen. And have a…

Dear Anon, Generally, there are two approaches with regards to placing a water feature: 1. Persional feeling (Most common method) Here, as you have mentioned, most likely, either the location choosen seems to be an appropriate choice or because of the home layout; we most likely find that this is one of the better choice. 2. Applying Flying Star Feng Shui As Flying star Feng Shui uses a "scientific" method of determining where a water feature is useful to be placed. Frankly, not many people may want to go for the second approach. However, without using or applying the second approach, there is no reference to state where we should place the fish tank other than usi…

In the many reports I have had done by you had mentioned about the need to increase the element of water. Since at present time I am unable to move near water as suggested IthoughtI would do the next best thing. I recently purchased a 6 foot long (125 US gallon) Aqurium and placed it in the North Sector which is located in my livingroom.A good portion of the north is missing due to the factthat the stairwell going tosecond floor is the north. So I placed the aqurium against the stairwell wall. Also so you know the front door faces NE 57 degrees which is in direct line with the stairwell. I would like to ask if you could suggest what type of fish and how many I should purc…

Dear Bonnie, As this relates to the home, the Five Elements concept (in Traditional Feng Shui) has to be related to the Flying Star analysis. Where, each sector in the Flying Star analysis is looked at i.e. the interaction of the elements of the mountain star# + water star# + base number. The result of this interaction will determine whether there is any imbalances at the specific sector. What you mentioned is in my opinion very basic observations of the Five elements concept. In quite alot of replies, I do mentioned that because of the `bad' elements such as #5 misfortune and #2 sickness which are both earth elements and bad wood #3 are often found in the home in various…

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, a Feng Shui consultant would first do an audit of the home and afterwards recommend the placement of a water position (if it is benefical). 2. Other factors include, the breadwinners Ba Zhi or Eight Characters. If the person's element and strength is weak water or strong fire, based on his element, it would be advantages if such a person, has water in his home. However, if the person is a weak fire person, additional water would further exhaust him. Similarly if a person is a strong water person, he should not need more water as it would `weigh' down on him. 3. In general, without taking into consideration the `caution' above, one can generally act…

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: If you have small creekback of your house or source of water feature in front of your house.Does itmakes any difference which way water flow isgood orbad? Yes, the flow of any water feature is important. This is why there is the shapes and form concept about Water Courses. See this link for some details:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-wcourse.htm For example, even if you put an external water feature, it is good if the flow of the water is flowing into the house rather than outside of the house. Water flow out of the house means your wealth leaking out, while a water flow into the house means wealth flowing into the house.…

1. From a Ba zi, perspective, make sure that the person is not a Strong Water person or a weak fire person as a water position placed wrongly in a home is considered inauspicious. 2. A water position, placed wrongly can also affect health and family relationships i.e. under Flying Star, if it is placed in a mountain star #8 location. 3. You can read up on what makes a good water feature (especially Para 2.1 to 2.12) under this link:- http://fountain.geomancy.net
