Yes. Based on your description, when you stand at the centre of your house, your main door is considered to be North. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janne, If you can draw a sketch using one of the paint programs or scanned image, you can upload it together with your forum message under this forum. However, it is preferred to upload a small file i.e. under .jpg format or less than 250,000 K file. I believe a sketch would be easier to understand then the description. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, I always thought my house direction is SW2 because the whole frontage of my house faces SW2. If I stand in front of my front door or stand behind the front door with a compass, the direction is also SW2. But then I came across your answer to a question that asked you how to determine the direction of a house. Your answer was to stand in the center of the house with a compass aiming the center for the front door. if I do that my house direction is S2. So is my house S2 or SW2?

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. Besides Shapes and Form Feng Shui, the other form of Feng Shui is the Compass School Feng Shui. 2. In this aspect, the Compass School Feng Shui consists of both Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui. 3. Usually, when applying Feng Shui, as mentioned earlier, both Shapes and Forms and the two compass schools i.e. Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui is used. And usually and for practical reasons, how suitable the hosue is to a person (in general) should be based on e.g. the Eight House. 4. After having covered all the above points of consideration under Feng Shui i.e. Shapes and Forms and Compass School; we often then use Ba Zi for the interior of the h…

1. All hospitals have a Morgue. Where dead patients are moved over to this building for coroner's investigations and "deposit" and "release. 2. Thus, do check that the unit and block you are interested in is not next to or facing this building. 3. Alternatively, avoid the unit or block if it is the A and E ward or a ward for contagious disesase or during an emergency, this ward caters to those who have unknown or unidentified, ailments. 4. Thus, if the hospital has any of the above, try to stay as far away as possible! Even 500 metres or more... 5. For other buildings i…

1. Frankly, authentic Feng Shui has to use tools like Flying Stars etc. 2. Otherwise, you may have to do like everyone else; based on your acumen and feelings in the placement of your bed etc.. 3. When you place your bed-head, you should feel comfortable with it despite having 2 doors and 2 windows as it is very difficult to visual what you had mentioned in writing. 4. If your bed is placed against a window, often, the window(s) are not opened and curtains are drawn. Seethe B. wrote: i am fairly new to feng shui. i get the basic idea, so i dont know much about flying stars and all the fancy stuff, but i am trying to at least start with the basic ideas or feng shui so…

Dear Josephine, If the home is facing 75 degrees then under Flying Star Feng Shui, it is considered as a East 1 chart. Currently, this home is considered as a Period 7 home, E1. If the home is maintained (no major renovations done), then this home can take advantage of #8 i..e. a water position at NE (water star #8) and SE (which has an auspicious mountain star #8 at this sector) to boost the wealth of the home. Other then this, one may consider "flying the home to Period 8, depending on the interior layout and star chart numbers of Period 8 to see if it is better than the current Period 7 chart. From the Shapes and forms point of view, the home is relatively in a "g…

Dear Leslie, Thanks for sharing with all of us your experience on how you got started on Feng Shui. I guess most users started `learning' Feng Shui from various sources. For those fortunate to live in countries in the Far East such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore or Canada (where some FS Masters have migrated from Hong Kong) these users, if they are lucky could study under a FS Master. Alternatively, if you are near to Feng Shui `centres' in US, England or Australia, this would be a good way to learn. However, the next best alternative are as you have mentioned Feng Shui books. Currently, there are so many good Feng Shui authors around and you can choose from…

1. I believe you are refering to the junction closest to Yishun Ave 1 and Yishun St 81 : beside Block No. 91. 2. This Tower 9 is an identical twin of No. 89.Yes, the main facade of this block faces North-South. The are twin stacks to the 91. One stack faces 125 degrees: Period 7: SE1 while the other stack faces 210 degrees or Period 7: SW1. Between these two stacks, in very broad general terms: the stack facing SE1 - is not the best, but slightly better than stack facing SW1 with Period 7 influence.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I do not think of myself as a weak person, however, I have learned that I am a weak Fire. What exactly does this mean? Frankly, a weak person does not mean that person is weakling, nor does a strong person mean you are a strong person. It is just one of the two classification for what element you belong to when you relate yourself to the environment. For example, an element like fire can either be a weak fire or a strong fire. That state basically helps to define what kinds of element is good or bad for you. In turn, once you know this proces, you can easily relate the what careers, what colours, what direction, what people will be consider…

Dear Mary, Please visit this url with forecast for your animal sign:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm In general, (don't get too unduly worried) as under www.lovesigns.net the animal sign opposite each other are suppose to be the most incompatible of the two. For example, if you were to view the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Rat faces the horse directly! However, don't get too much auto-suggestion or self-fulfilling prophecy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

[This message refers to the message posted under Photo Tours with Interest: Chinese Astrology: The metal Dragon or Golden Dragon. This conference attachments can only be viewed by logging into the web forum only.] Extract of a paragraph of the message: "Five tones and six colours should be the way to brighten your house during Chinese New Year, says Mr Tan P K, one of Singapore's flora bosses." Here, if I understand correctly he mentions about colours of the rainbow to brighten the home i.e. within each six colours, the flowers can be of different shades of that colour. What he wants achieved is to brighten the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, for a newbie to Feng Shui, one may not understand the implication. 2. Usually, the placement of the six coins is meant more as a "cure" than your literal translation of placing coins at the back of the home thus leaking wealth away. 3. IN GENERAL, it is common for Feng Shui practitioners to draw up a chart of a home. For example, each of us have our own date and time that we are born. And a home also has a birth-chart. 4. Thus this home birth-chart is popularly based on what is known as "Flying Star - Compass School Feng Shui'. Frankly, please don't ask me to explain what is Flying Star or Compass School. One has to do more research or use the SEARCH…

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, i am curious why does my face have many moles? does it represent good or bad? Well, no one can answer why some have more moles than others. However, under the overall fortune telling, facing reading and moles are considered a section an entirely unique area of study. Here is are some of the key moles that have more significant meanings:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-face.htm In any case, these are just some form of analysis that ancient chinese have came up to determine the meaning and impact on a person's fortune. A. Wow, your question is too basic that it is best to use your fingers to find the knowledge:- 1. For example, you can use the top left search field in this forum to search for sepcific terms like:- 1.1.Flying Star Feng Shui 1.2. Mountain Star 1.3. Water Star 1.4. Base Star and/or palace star 1.5. 9 star ki (nine star ki) Other broader terms on the two major schools of Feng Shui:- 1.6. Compass School Feng Shui (which includes Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui) 1.7. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui B. Alternatively, there are lots of books on Flying Star Feng Shui; usually available in bookstores or if you want to have a solid grounding; you might want to consider say, taki…

Dear Lisa, This is the " tricky " part in Feng Shui. Under the Compass School of Feng Shui especially the Flying Star theory, the traditional method is to find or locate the `exact' compass degree of the main entrance. Once you have determined the exact compass degree, you then relate it to the `birth date' of the house or if a major renovation has been done, relate it to this. Next, a chart based on the `birth date' of the house and the direction of the main entrance door is drawn based on Flying Star calculations. You will notice that the above is the first step. Once all the flying stars have plotted, next you analyse the house based on the locations and an…

I am a weak water element person who works in a petroleum industry meeting up with lots of problems.. really really really wear me out since I started this job, affecting my health a little..(I do not know whether is the water fire conflicts?? moreover I have excessive fire) 3rd August 1977 @11:08am Under one of your free reports, you mentioned that for a weak self element person should go for relating jobs to enhance weak self.. ie. relating to water/metal in my case. I am thinking of changing job and I have the chance of going into forex(money market) but I do not know what type of element it belongs to.. it is fire(something like sales)? or metal('cos it relating to mo…

Under the productive sequence under the Five Elements concept; Please see attached illustration. It is more "potent" to use wood to fuel fire vs just adding fire to fire. Although both are good for a weak fire person. Wood would be considered a "top choice" or first choice - if possible.

Teaching is considered as belonging to the wood element. As wood element implies "growth" of knowledge for a student. Just imagine a plant, growing into a strong tall tree. Like any tree, it does not need to be a specific tree, right?
