How to determine the west direction in my bedroom?

You see, the goal is to have 20% of each element to attain perfect harmony. Only then will each of your element be at the right percentage to balance up your overall chart. It is your total favourable vs your total unfavourable take makes you weak or strong:- 20% Wood + 7% Fire = 27% favourable element 30% Metal +2% Water = 32% unfavourable element Earth element is not considered in this balance because it can exhaust fire weaking it, but at the same time destroy Water which makes you weak thus helping you. So since this element can help and weaken you, therefore cancel out it's effect. Since you have 32% unfavourable elements vs 27% favourable, you are therefore determined to be weak. Your luck is always changing, thus your five element also changes through the different time period. That is why your percentage changes as you enter each period. So any changes you make for that period is only good for that period. You should always base on your intial five element, then fine tune a little for that period depending on which element you have more or less. So in 27-36 for example, it means you benefit from having more Wood than fire. So during this period, more wood will bring about greater luck improvement than fire. That means by default you lack most fire than wood. But that period, you should add more wood than fire. Once you pass that period, then fire is main element you sould focus on. Eight House is often used for micro level. ie the position of your desk in the room etc. Ba Zi direction is used more for macro level. ie staying in a South part of singapore etc. So for desk direction/sleep position, you still based on eight house (avoiding death and disaster sector). Or go for the direction that is both favourable in your ba zi and your eight house. So in this case you should follow your best work postioin which is North. Anyway, as mentioned you lack some water, so some water is not entirely bad for you. For temporarily changes, the change in colour etc are more practical things to change rather than a house. As a house is expensive to own, so it is definately not practical to change your house every ten years. So you should go for a house that fits your initial chart rather than your current luck period. However, every couple can still be balanced with finding the common element. For example, weak water and weak wood, can use water element as the binding element. So irregardless of what element, there is way to balance the element. Furthermore, besides harmonising the heaven luck, a relationship depends a lot on human luck.So I won't worry too much about this. Having a tattoo, good or bad for feng shui?

Frankly, tattoos are more commonly associated with gangsters especially in singapore during the 1950's, 1960's and 1970s. So it already have a negative impact. You see just like why people have bad impression on number say 4 = die, when most think about tatoo it often relates to something bad or illegal. In feng shui, you want to have more good influence than bad influence, so naturally, tattoo would also be viewed as having bad influence. Even though, recent tattoos are being viewed as a personalisedart form. So if you ask my personal opinion, I would have to say that a tattoo is more likely to havea negative feng shui impact rather than positive one.So not advisable. The most common way is by the sound of the number. So far I believe what you are concerned with is the house number containing the number 4. Which to most Chinese means die when you pronounce it. So to most chinese, they will want to avoid any number containing 4. Especially if for starting and ending numbers. So if your house number contains such a number, it may affect your future resale value if any especially if the buyer is Chinese or very supertitious about number. But on the otherhand, some people like 4 just like why 4 leave clover is considered auspicious icon. Or to some 4 happens to be their lucky number. So it does not matter to them. Under our website, using your kua number as your luck number, can also be used to calculate whether a number is considered good or bad. Cure for front door

Frankly, it would be worst if you can see the toilet bowl from the main door. But so far you only see the toilet door. So it is really not as bad. The most simple way to solve this is keep the kitchen door and toilet door close when not in use. The second way is to add a screen/partition just after you enter the door to prevent the kitchen door/toilet door from being seen when you enter. Hope that helps. Stairway locates at the center of the house

Otherwise, you would have another problem where the stairway faces the main door. But since you can see the stairway from the main door, you should consider putting a partition at the door entrance so that you cannot see the stairway right from entry. Otherwise, there is nothing much you can do to correct this problem, also every house is sure to have one or two problems. Compared to having a toilet at the center, having a starway in the center is less serious. As long as there are not too many major leaks found in the same house, then usually still can live with it. A live turtle in the house

So generally the tortoise is considered more auspicious than inauspicious. However, take note that A tortoise is a turle, but not all turtles are torties. A tortoise is more land-dweller than water based. While Turtles are more water based. So generally, if it is a tortoise should still be ok. But a turtle may not necessary be auspicious. Of course your friend is also right to say that tortise are slow creature, but remember the story about the tortise and the hare? The tortoise still wins the race in the end. That is why the tortoise is considered a trustworthy, steadfast creature. Just out of curiousity, way not go for fishes? Hope that helps. Yes, this is true. This is because wealth tends to flow from high ground down to lower ground. So if you have the stair facing the main door. It is like wealth flowing out of the house. That is why it is inauspicious. Probably, if you already bought it, then you need to see how you can put a partition between the door and the stairs to prevent the wealth from leaking out. Usable stars versus Period

This means that if this is a period 7 house luck, then star 7 still remains the current prosperity sector. However, the difference is that star 7 revert back to it's robbery status. hanging up a family photo

I mean this is like advertising to everyone who stays or lives in the house. Then everyone will know who you are where you stay and easy for people to harm/distrub you. For example, thieves can know who you are and monitor/track your movement then break into your know when you are not around. Photos also should not face the kitchen, as the kitchen often have lots of knife and cutting which can be like cutting your own family photo if you let the photo face the kitchen. The above are the general points to take note. Correct Period for Flat.

As you can force the Qi to fly over to the period 8. In fact, this is often the most recommended for older house, simply because the period 6/7 house qi will be fading away anyway. So you won't benefit from it as much flying the house over to a period 8 and activating the water/mountain star 8. Especially, if the house benefits from the period 8. If you are not, then that is where you will always have problem determining the which period the house used to be:- 1.Basically, the Qi of the house is determined usually by when the roof is covered. That is why if you do stay in a landed property, should you ever remove the roof completely and rebuild the roof, the house Qi will be based on when you completed building the roof. 2. The Qi of the house is also influence by the structure or layout of the house. For example, if you knock down a room wall, then the Qi of the house will change. The above 1 and 2 are major forms of renovations that can influence the Qi of the house. 3. But when it comes to apartment there is only one roof at the top of the building. Each individual owner will have their own roof, but only the highest level will have the direct roof. So the removal of roof to signify the change of Qi is not possible right? So instead, the hacking of walls and renovations would be the best way to determine the Qi of the house. 4. For landed property, the above point 1 and 2 are easy to apply. But for apartments, point 1 will be hard, so point 2 is the more likely thing to use to guage which year to take as the birth chart of the house. 5. Also, for apartment where there are many levels and apartments, each will have their own Qi. As long as the house remains exactly as it was built, then you take the year it was built based on when the block was built or at least when the house is fit for people to stay. For example, if a development may be built in 1983, but because it is only declared fit for occupation in 1984. Then it is considered period 7. This is because prior to that it is not ready for anyone to stay in. Also, as more people stay in the place, the Qi will be active, otherwise, it is as good as Dead Qi. 6. Anyway, you should also know that even for older house, as you cross over to new period, the existing luck will slowly fade away. This means that houses built in period 7 (ie 1984), will slowly fly over to period 8 even without any major renovations especially if the house is as old as 20-years. I mean houses also need repair, so some of these repair if major enough will cause the Qi to fly over as well. 7. Also, even if the above renovations work are not done, if you do symbolic flying over, you can still slowly effect the Qi to fly over to the new period. By symoblically painting the entire roof of the house and having at least 3 major celebrations. So you see, for an older house, it is very hard to tell you for sure which is the true year the house was built. Based on what you have provided in your post, the house built falls under the point 5. You said the development was built in 1983 but it was not sold for people to say until 1984. As people move in, some people may renovate their house, so the house Qi will likely have changed. Also, as more people stay in the place, the house will then have Qi. That is why I said it is more likely a period 7 house luck. But having said that, it really does not matter what is the old period if you do intend to have a major renovation. If you do have the renovations, then your house Qi will fly over to the period 8. Since, period 7 is over, you should try to look for houses built in period 8 to ensure, that you do not have to try to retain the existing period 7 house Qi as it is much harder to retain the old Qi, since sooner or later the older Qi will fade away. So if you move while you are pregnant, the chances of miscarriages is higher. So it is never wise to move while you are pregnant. You can still move to the new house, but you should not be involved in any of the moving process. ie leave it to your other family members or profesional movers. You should not be around when moving so as to avoid any accidents. This is more towards the child is not suitable to the house or does not have a bedroom. This does not mean you cannot move, but rather that the house will not bring the child luck. I mean you can't do much about it now as since the house is already bought before the child is born, there is no way to know if the child has a suitable bedroom to use before you buy it. All you can do about this portion, is to find the least inauspicious bedroom for him to stay, and choose the right colours scheme, or best bed position for the child. As for your other portion about many questionable attributes. I am not sure what you are referring to so cannot comment.
