  1. Chinese Swimming Club, as it is when I was a youth, training and swimming .. in this pool.... Those days, no such thing as condominiums or bungalows that have a swimming pool! There were few olymipic sized private swimming clubs.... Dr Chan Ah Kow, used to be there to train many famous Singapore swimmers.. in this same pool.
  2. Imagine, if the whole world can be in harmony... no race issues...
  3. Since this is the back of the house and not the front entrance, the concept of roving eyes would not apply unless that door is your main entrance. Some past resources on this subject can be found, here:-http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Roving_Eyes_or_Infidelity
  4. 1. Please note that this is only a General Advice forum. 2. You may want to consider the type of service available under this link (Can or cannot buy):- http://geomancy.sg or simply geomancy.sg or http://www.geomancy.sg
  5. 1. Frankly, this is quite common or usually in Singapore, approximately 5 to 10 percent of all condos in Singapore have private lifts. And a large percentage of these are of the high end condos such as The Sovereign, 99 Meyer Road. 2.More importantly, location, location and location. 3. For purposes of calculating Flying Star Feng Shui, ithas more to do with the "sitting" and facing direction. In this type ofapartment, more likely qi comes in more regularly thruthe most yang areas e.g. the facade of the buidling or the balcony living room window areas.
  6. We are hiring those born ONLY in specific years! And we are hiring staff for specific departments reporting to their individual Heads of department....
  7. For a combined Strong Earth vs Strong Wood elements, the best cominbed elements is Metal element. However, metal element alone may not be quite possible to come up with a logo. Thus the following elements may be considered:- MetalWITH Fire Metal = white or metallic colours or silver or gold Fire = Red, pink or purple Shapes associated with the elements can be found below:- Reference:- http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm
  8. Yes! It certainly does to check which spoon you are born with? Rite?
  9. Yes, surprisingly, many prefer to go down-under!
  10. Down-Under! Not Up, please! Many of us, we brought up to think that we should aim to go to Heaven! But, some people, felt that Heaven is really no fun! Cannot smoke, cannot practise Feng Shui, cannot cheat on spouse, cannot gamble, cannot this cannot there... so for this group, they feel that it is meaningless to go up there! This group prefers to go down there!
  11. We must buy this in the name of Feng Shui! Sorry, you must buy this, NOT ME! STU-PIG!
  12. 1. It is a modern invention. We can sit on it. 2. It has it's own "room". 3. Usually, in a public place, it is separated into: "Boys" and "Girls"...
  13. 1.Sorry, I don't see the blue tegolla roof. 2. In general, guidelines for roof and exterior wall colours are as follows:- 2.1 GREY OR BLUE ROOFING (TILES) If grey or blue roof is used, then it is preferred that the exterior walls are "white washed" or white colour. 2.2 CLAY COLOURED, MAROON, ORANGE ROOF TILES White or off-white or cream or beige are best common colours. (Light green MAY be considered) 2.3 GREEN ROOF TILES Best to go with white or light green exterior walls.
  14. Just in from the "Horses" mouth ... erh.. I mean from the RAT: Finally, I have my revenge!"
  15. What? I am your boss! RAT, I have arranged to get another Horse to issue you with a pink slip! This is to satisfy myself that the RAT is my worst pairing! TOO BAD!Blame yourself or your parents for giving birth to a RAT!
  16. 1. According to Chinese astrology, yes, the rat and horse between themselves are SUPPOSE to be the worst pairing. 2. Auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy:- 2.1. If your boss is not "into" Chinese astrology or does not take it seriously, then it is best NEVER to bring up the subject nor show him nor bring to his attention the "incompatiblity" of both animal signs. 2.2. The greatest issue is to avoid " auto-suggestion" and "self-fullfilling" prophecy... in your situation. Anonymous wrote: Hi. Can anyone help me. I was born in the year of the rat. Feb 3 1985. Wood rat. and my boss was born in the year of the Fire Horse some time in 1966. How can i get ahead in work? get promoted? what must i do? 3. If your boss believesin the Chinese astrology, then you can bring to his attention the following:- 3.1 Just looking at the year of birth to determine compatibility is frankly too general. And this is where we should try to avoid "auto-suggestion". 3.2 Many peopleend up reading it and begin to try to find fault with the other person. 3.3 Actually, professionals don't use the Chinese astrology but rather focus on more specific:- 3.3.1 You can beborn in the Year of the rat but, more specific is your ba zi element: e.g. weak water, strong water, weak fire, strong fire etc... Andthis is used instead of the more general aspect ofyou being a rat, he being a horse. 4. You can use the free link to find out your Personal Element:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-personal-element.htm
  17. 1. In general, Flying star is about the "birth-chart" of your home. 2. Like everyone that has a birthday, the home is suppose also to have a birthday. Anonymous wrote: my secodn question is that in 2009 NW is good. But acc to my Kua number it is not a good direction for me. My kitchen is in NW. So what shoudl i do ? do i still need to activitate it or not? 3. For Flying Star(s) if a good sector is good, it depends on whether it is feasible or not to "activate" the good direction as you had mentioned above 2009 NW is good. 4. Thus activating a sector based on Flying star is distinct from your personal Gua (kua number). Anonymous wrote: I am confused about personal gua number and the flying star. My personal gua no is 4. I am a female. I live in rental apartment and my bedroom is in north sector. I cannot put bed in my good kua sector(s, se). My bed is either in north or ne sector of the room and there is beam on the top. 5. There are limitations to the Gua (Kua). In your current application of the Gua, do take note that it is nice-to-have and not a must-have situation. Thus we have to be realistic as there are often constrains for most of us to place a bed in a bedroom as there is the bedroom door, often windows, even attached bathroom and or even bulit in cabinet for some of us.
  18. In a survival situation, do we think of the basic necessities or "luxury" items?
  19. 1. Generally, an octagon pattern is acceptable or recessed - is also considered OK or acceptable. Only wavy patterns may not be advantages in some instances. 2. However, the following guidelines should be taken into consideration:- 2.1. As you had mentioned gypsum board false panels - are OK. 2.2. Avoid using the Eight trigrams hexagrams as a feature on the panels. 3. Yin and Yang Concept:- Where possible or nice to have, lights in all (each) bedrooms be odd number of lights. For example in many homes it is common to have just one centre lighting in the middle. Here, we don't care how many bulbs there are. This is considered as one light source or one single odd number of lights. In your layout plan, it would be preferred that all or each bedrooms have 5 or 7 lights vs the current 4. (In your example, I can see roughly 4 lighting points [4 lights] in the bedroom) For the kitchen area, it is preferred to have even number of lights. For the living or dining room usually no preference for even or odd numbers of lights (or light points).
  20. We have millions of baterial in our mouth. Most of them are bad ones....
