Fernvale Riverbow: HDB 5 rooms by ranking

These are some considerations: 1. It is possible to make the North side as the frontage of the house. 2. Besides tilting the door.. in Feng Shui, there is another method practised by some Feng Shui Masters i.e. that of strategically bury a piece of material below the main door.

1. In my opinion, there are two considerations:- 1.1. Opinion 1: It all boils down to Stigma of staying close to a hospital. 1.1.1. Frankly, often when one's mind is set, it is difficult to change it. 1.1.2. Thus you already has doubts about this development with it's North and East boundary bounded by the hospital. 1.2.3. Others may also share the same view. Unless, perhaps one works at the hospital and/or rent a unit or the whole unit out (if qualified to do so.) 1.3. Thus, without talking about the 2nd point; if given a choice, look elsewhere. Given that it will certainly affect your future re-sale value. (I am not asking how much is the purchase price asked. If it is as much as any other flats not close-by to a hospital; then I wouldn't want to pay such average price). 1.4. Okay, Feng Shui does not usually consider the price. But more often, homes with better views e.g. a condo unit facing a pool side OFTEN is priced higher than one facing elsewhere. 1.5. With this Covid-19 "curse" more have opened their eyes towards illness and proximity to hospital. 2. The other day, whilst visiting a nearby condo around Anchorvale Isles, I did not go near the Sengkang Hospital area. But was wondering where is their mortuary? 2.1. This is because every hospital has a mortuary + an identification area where one gets to confirm the deceased is theirs + a storage room. 2.2. Thus, it is to some a morbid nightmare to have one's unit close-by to this mortuary or looking towards it etc... 3. I have re-produced a past write-up of mine from HDB Towner Crest BTO.... Part 3: Any concern with the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital & Sikh Temple? 1. Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital 1.1. In theory, the main concern is the location of the Pathology Department and the holding area of the deceased. Here, these two areas (which can be the same or close-by to each other). If so, best that one's home is not close-by to them. 1.2. Fortunately, as one can see the planners of this development has taken due consideration and placed the Multi-storey car park (MSCP), ESS, Precinct Pavilion, CCC etc.. as a buffer between the HDB flats and the hospital. 2. Stigma of one's home looking towards a hospital. 2.1. Unfortunately, there is always a group of persons or their loved ones who are superstitious and find it inauspicious for one's home to have a view of a hospital. If so, very difficult to convince such persons to look the other way. Hopefully, this is just a small group of persons. Below: Photo taken at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital looking towards Adora Green BTO: 2.2. I can recall DBSS HDB Adora Green. Two stacks of Block 348A were the highest priced stacks/units in this development. As it faces Yishun Pond but also overlooks Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). The difference of course is the Hospital is like a kilometre away! Nevertheless, these stacks/units overlooks KTPH. 3. This photo (see below) is of Singapore General Hospital. Showing an example of the most inauspicious place at a hospital to avoid: Mortuary. Every Hospital has one.. just that some are less pronounced. P.S. For SGH, other than the nearby Clubhouse (where a client of my has a restaurant called Ka Soh with a michelin star award) no other living quarters are near to this block 9, the mortuary. Please note that SGH had recently gone through tremendous make-over. Thus things may have changed. As this resource was at least 6 years old! Source:

Nowadays, HDB made it convenient for the potential seller to understand their eligibility. And have carefully worded the number of years left in their lease as at a specific date. For example, this snapshot says: 86 years 4 month(s) remaining on the lease as at 28 September 2019. In Feng Shui, to determine the age, we have to do the calculation to determine the "Lease commencement date". Actually, the potential purchaser can ask their Agent for this information. It is no secret. In fact, it is crucial fact as one of the buyer's purchase factors. P.S. This has nothing to do with Feng Shui. But what the last line says is that the seller can only sell THIS unit to a CHINESE!

Case Study 17: In Flying Star Feng Shui, all units in this development either face Period 8 North 3 (N3) or South 3 (S3). 1. Is the Sales Brochure Site Plan (SBSP) North marking accurate? 1.1. Orientating the SBSP and projecting the protractor onto it; the compass readings for all blocks with the exception of Blocks 74 & 76 yields a compass reading of 14 degrees and 194 degrees. 1.2. 14 degrees falls under Flying Star N3 of 7.5 degrees to 22.4 degrees. 1.3. While 194 degrees falls under S3 of 187.5 to 202.4 degrees. 2. As my next preferred e-streetmap = onemap.sg does not show the profile of the blocks (until T.O.P. or close to it); no way of using this map. 3. The next best alternative is to use streetdirectory.com's map. 3.1. For Blocks 70, 72, 78, 80, 82, 84, 86: Either face N3 20 degrees or S3 200 degrees. 3.2. Although there is a 6 degrees difference between that of the SBSP north marking of 14 degrees where streetmap's is 20 degrees; fortunately the conclusion is the same = both still falls under N3. 3.3. The same is said for S3 for both maps. 4. What about Blocks 74 and 76? The stacks/units in these two blocks either falls at 10 degrees or 190 degrees. 4.1. And surprise, surprise, these two blocks also falls within N3 or S3. 5. In essence, one can thus conclude that all of this development's units either face N3 or S3. 6. Thus if one were to stand inside the living room looking outwards; the units are either that of N3 or S3. 6.1. Do you always use the main door for Flying Star Feng Shui? No? Understand why? We use the frontage = standing inside the living room looking outwards. Not the main door direction, here. 20th Silver Anniversary, 2020

Foodgle Hub: Mee Pok Stall at Bukit Batok West Terra The other day saw many people savouring the noodles from this stall. Visually looks nice. Tried it today! No regrets! Fish ball noodles with beans sprout at $3.00. West Terra is only roughly a year old. Yet, this stalls noodles is superb. To me, it is better than any I tasted other than Yong Seng at Hougang which I reviewed earlier. Although lots of gravy was added, cannot taste the usual after taste .. or smell. Simply spicy and savoury! Cannot miss the coffee shop: at Block 451 MSCP

Case Study: Qi Flow and Mont Botanik Legend: A = Bottle-neck. Fortunately it is the sides of stacks #01 and #07. But due to wind vortexes, on a windy day, wind can curl towards the master bedrooms of both stacks/units X = For stack #07; again on a windy day, wind can be guided through #08 and #09 + channelled through #06 and may be forced towards #07 at X. X is the entire facade of #07. Same is true for #01. For #01, thankfully, there is at least some sort of a buffer from it's neighbour Century Mansion. For #07, fortunes + health can wane from very good luck to bad luck and even affecting health = depending on wind conditions. Thus if too windy, one way of controlling is to minimize the exposure of the interior by controlling the balcony sliding doors/windows.. (or even external zip-track - if any)

Case Study 26: Should I be concerned if the unit no has a #4 eg. #01-04 or #04-44 or #04-444 etc? 1. If one has already noticed this. Even if one is neutral or finds the number lucky. 2. In the near future, during a re-sale, expect potential buyers to be equally concerned. Or even give this excuse of a low-ball offer. 3. In some HDB flats, for example: HDB Tampines GreenSpring BTO, all unit numbers end with odd numbers. 3.1. For example: #03-133, #05-135 etc... 3.2. Thus there will never be a #04-144, #14-44 etc... As some Chinese consider such numbers inauspicious. 4. On the other hand, another number e.g. 13 has more to do with SOME (not all) westerner's view of 13 as an unlikey number. For example: Friday the 13th. 4.3. As these are at least three digit numbers other than the floor levels, there is also no "13". 4.1. Most likely Singapore Airlines adopted this perhaps to cater to the western culture of number 13 as bad luck! And not concerned with seat 4, 14 or 44. 5. Has more to do with: "One's man meat is another's poison". 6. If in doubt, why take a chance! Skip that number!
