  1. Case Study 5: Potential Sha Qi from a "long corridor" towards a unit's main entrance door 1. Potential Sha Qi if there is a long corridor aimed towards a unit's main entrance: #109 #335 #355 #379 2. For stack #389. Less of a concern given that the direct corridor is just a short length. 3. In blue legend (see below) = No issue. Note: Please note that the above are samples and may not be just the stacks/units involved. Do study the stack/unit that you are eyeing and do the same due diligence, please.
  2. Site plan. And typical unit layout plan for some blocks As this is a freehold development even if it is aging, I still do get Feng Shui requests for this estate.
  3. 1. Frankly, the above resource meant to show the symbolic relation of three lights in a straight row representing "three joss-sticks" praying to the dead. That's all. 2. Thus, there is really no symbolism associated with two, one or even five lights. 3. Of course, four pendant lights again has more to do with the Cantonese association of 4 with death. 4. If one wants to go ahead. 5. Common sense: 5.1. Nowadays led bulbs are light weight. 5.2. Distance between the 2 pendant lights 5.3. Glass material or abstract plastic 5.4. Based on common sense, if a home is windy and if the pendant lights are close to each other + light weight.. hope not that they become an unusual "wind-chime" in the wrong sense of it. LOL
  4. Case Study 4A: Kudos to the designer/planners of this estate's placement of the common bins for two (2) blocks = 268A and 269A. (But not that great for Block 270A.) 1. HDB Kim Keat Ripples applies the traditional classic placement of the common bins (recycle and refuse):- 2. In two above blocks, it is great to learn that even if stacks #422, #424 and #414 and #416 are close-by to the common bins. 2.1. Fortunately, the blue colour codes shows that the common ins are bounded on each side by two emergency exits. This implies that from the main entrance of these units or for that matter the kitchen area; no unit has a view into the common bin lobby. 2.2. In addition, even if one were to stand at say stack #412 or #426. Also in general cannot see into the bin lobby. 3. However, do take note that there is a high possibility if one is standing at the main entrance of stacks/units #440 and #442 = might see into the common bin:- 3.1. This is the only complaint. Case Study 4B: There is a stigma attached to stacks/units such as 444 or 414. 1. Often (unfortunately, this has more to do with future re-sale value. 2. Thus even if one is neutral to such numbers. One can never sway a potential future buyer to be concerned with such a number. 2.1. Or even worse, give such potential future buyers and agents the excuse to "low-ball" the offer!. 3. Therefore if one is in doubt, do skip these stacks/units.
  5. Case Study 4A: Homes (Stacks/units) facing a water position be it an open drainage reserve or a canal or a sungei (river) is governed by the concept of the Water Classics. 1. The key elements of the Water Classics are:- 1.1. Compass directions 1.2. Drainage or river water = there is a difference between flow from left to right or right to left of a development. 2. Thus for example, thus if one is considering purchasing stacks such as #107, #109, #111 and #113 all the more vigilant. However, if the drainage is fully covered, this is considered neutral. Thus no issue. 3. Below: Under Flying Star Feng Shui, Block 376A Stacks #107, #109, #111 & #113 faces NW3 328 degrees (which falls within 322.5 to 337.4 degrees). 4. Below: Extract from Geomancy.net's Group Report which charts the which direction should the correct water flow be for auspicious luck:- 4.1 Block 376A Stacks #107, #109, #111 & #113 falls under Flying Star NW3 facing direction. Thus under the Water Classics Feng Shui; when standing inside the living room looking outwards, water flow (be it an open drainage reserve or river) 4.2 Discounting high-low tides, generally, the drainage reserve would normally flow towards the sea. 5. If so, if one were to stand inside the living room of stack #111; for auspicious luck, the water flow should instead be from RIGHT to LEFT. 5.1. And not LEFT to RIGHT as shown, below:- 5.2. Thus under the Water Classics, Block 376A Stacks #107, #109, #111 & #113's drainage flow is inauspicious. 6. Overview of the drainage of the area: showing the location of Canberra Vista (indicator is it is next to Canberra NS12 MRT station). 6.1. And Majority of the time, common sense says the trail of water drainage should normally be flowing towards the sea. ============= Case Study 4B: Fortunately, (see below) although the Water Classics should be considered, however, as such units are facing real water, there is much room or buffer to begin with. 1. And more often than not, it's advantages (facing real water) supersedes or negates the concern of water flow.. left to right or right to left of the frontage, most of the time. 2. Stacks: 305 307 377 379 407 409 427 429 facing Sungei Simpang Kiri 2.1. Generally, water flow from this river (Sungei) is towards the sea. 2.2. Thus for Stacks: 305 307 377 379 407 409 427 429; most of the time (other than certain conditions of the tide) water should flow towards Kiri (left): assuming we are standing inside the living room looking out towards the river. 3. However, under the Water Classics, best that the water flows from left to right INSTEAD. 4. Fortunately, as mentioned earlier, as this is a real river; more forgiving to such stacks/units. Given that Location, location, location or L x 3 accounts for a whopping 70% of the total Feng Shui luck of each unit. 2.
  6. Today with the wake-up call of the COVID-19. Seems like more people will be Unsettled ... living close to one.
  7. Please understand this...
  8. This is a snapshot of an earlier posting. See below: Most likely you missed this posting. Another consideration is during construction of the education institute (school) as highlighted by this red box:-
  9. Location: Jalan Tua Kong 1. Bamboo trees grows in clumps. From a few clumps to like a cluster of bamboo trees: 2. Above: These bamboo trees are like overgrown toe nails. They keep on multiply. 3. Above: Luckily the trees were amputated at the solid part. 3.1 Else if chopped at part of it’s compartment area.. may become a breeding grounds of mosquito larvaes. 3.2 As it takes just two cents shallow height of water to be able to breed the larvaes. 4. Another disadvantage of bamboo trees is it’s ability to shed lots of leaves! 4.1. Lots of maintenance both in the need for frequent trimming as well as cleaning it’s surrounding areas. 4.2. Snakes often find refuge within the bamboo trees. 5. Really, what more can I say!
  10. On 9th March 2020 It has been quite sometime I visited this condo. Previously was also for Can or Cannot buy. Pool timing is unusually late in the morning... often it is 7am onwards or latest is 8am. 10pm is the norm. LOL Condo has that serene feel...
  11. Also near to this tree...lovely pink and maroon flowers.. Really brightens the day!
  12. Two more photos. Does anyone know the name of this twig tree? Thanks!
  13. Sorry, haven’t gotten to find the name of this unique tree... Had seen this tree but smaller in a few places. But not often. Reminds me of the longtong dish with Long beans.. or popiah that has French beans... It has no leaves. Or rather it’s leaves looks more like twigs.
  14. Plain Thosai At Springleaf Prata Place on 9.3.2020 (Vegetarian diet) To carnivores like myself.. this is also another example of comfort food..
  15. Thanks for the thorough explanation, master!
  16. Hello master, Is a pot filler such as the one in the attached photo where it is right on top of the stove bad Feng shui? If so, if we just not use it, would that be a remedy or still better not to have it at all? Thanks! Reply: Dear xxxx, Thanks for the photo. These are some considerations: 1. Make sure that the inlet pipe for this pot filler is not anywhere near the surface or at least 6 or more inches from the stove. 2. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, here the water (as in water pipe) and fire (stove clash). 2.1. Actually, this has more to do with common sense. If one has the inlet pipe of this pot filler close-by to the stove, the water within it can be heated up. Especially if copper piping is installed nearby to the stove. 2.2. In modern times, some pumber use hard plastic pipes. Even if these pipes are close to the stove, and if exposed repeated to high heat, may sometimes become brittle or melt. And also, the water may be heated up. (good or bad..hmm) 3. Hear-say information: as to who to believe? There are times where if I say Okay. But later on, if you have close friends or relatives.. who saw this and exclaim that it is very inauspicious! Who do you then believe? 3.1. In many professional Chinese kitchens, they do also have this pot filler = Some have it. Done it! 3.2. If you are the type who easily swayed by other peoples comments or criticisms, then don' t install. As in the future, you may end up writing to me to justify: WHY so said OKAY? But so many of my friends say : VERY UNLUCKY! 3.3. But if you are the type who feels: This is my home, it is practical or functional or useful thing. And I couldn't care less outsiders interfering with it. Then: Please go ahead to install it. Not an issue. If above Para 2 is taken note of. Thanks

  22. Further to what I had mentioned, Chinese has been stereo typed as having yellow skin. (Okay, me included). Assuming if a Chinese bought this same house in a western country. This same house may even be glaringly obvious of the Chinese. Given the recent COVID-19 thing... if I am that Chinese, I will certainly stay as low a profile as I can! Okay, if one is not a Chinese... just maybe this is okay!
