Thanks for the photograph. Without which, may have a misunderstanding. As this type of bed is unique. Can common sense explain why it is inauspicious? Some beds are "slippery" and perhaps due to "physical activities" sometimes, both beds may split apart or leave a gap in-between. This is the only possibilty based on common sense. However, it also boils down to whether the bed has rollers or the bed legs floating on "slippery" slides for ease of moving - cleaning below. But all these can be fixed. Thus, not a permanent issue. Actually, it also all boils down to symbolism in Feng Shui. In that some feel that it is not auspicious to join two single beds into say a master bedroom. Here, it symbolises a split down the middle of the bed = symbolises separation or divorce. Frankly, it is like the continuum of hot or cold. Some very conservative persons, may like you have some concerns with it. And perhaps the overly conservative will say a split is a spilt even if it is not a full split! So, those who belong to this conservative group would say : No, no, no! But frankly, some see it as not a full split as in two twin beds JOINED together. Thus ok to this group. There is no right or wrong answers, here. (Given the above).

For apartments in a condo or in car-parks; for those who are considering doing the "move-in" procedure with actual light-up of a traditional stove; do check that no smoke detectors are near-by if one lights up a stove that uses non-smokeless charcoal.

Must every family member be around for the move-in? If you are moving in on a weekday and family members need to go to school; common sense says that they may have to attend school. You can do the move - yourself.

Moving in into a new house. And where to place the stove and charcoal?

These are some considerations: 1. Please note that from my past experience, usually most people who face problems have a home that has around 3 major leaks or a combination of several cumulative leaks. And although enhancements are few and far between e.g. good location(s) for water; all these may affect or increase or decrease the Feng Shui of a home. 2. Thus, PERHAPS, the drainage could be one-Leak. 3. Any drainage covers especially that covers the last metre towards the drainage exit is neutral. Hopefully, does help. Of course, one can cover fully the drain. 3.1. Any type or those that you have shown in the photo where it can still be lifted up to clean is/are OK. Except for those that have large gaps that can still see the drainage flow - which is not ideal.

Contrary to popular belief; a partition need not be all the way to the ceiling. And also, need not be "air-tight". In the attachment, this partition has 5 squarish wooden poles that are spaced-apart.
