  1. Question: "Dear Master Cecil Lee, Hi Master Cecil Lee, sorry to disturb you. I heard from my Chinese friend it is no good to move to the new house in September,is it true? because am planning to move in the month of September." Reply: This is more a "Chinese thing". As the seventh LUNAR month is considered by the Chinese as the "Ghost Month". During this seventh lunar month, it is said that ghosts and spirits are released from the lower realm and allowed to roam freely on our physical earth. However, the first day of 7th month starts on:- Western: 27 Jul 2014 (Sun)Lunar: 2014, 7th month, 1 day And the last day is:-Western: 24 Aug 2014 (Sun)Lunar: 2014, 7th month, 29 day Thus for 2014, it does not fall in September. In certain years; the Chinese 7th lunar month may fall in September. But for this year it is in late Jul to late August 2014. Here, many Chinese not only avoid moving house but also getting married in that month.
  2. In the early century and even up to the 1970's; many geomancers practised what is known as "kindergarten" Feng Shui. Here, East = Green; North = blue / grey / black. But today, Feng Shui takes into consideration the Flying Stars for each sector. Please see attached sample illustration. Here, this sector is located at West. And the Flying Star numbers are considered. For example, under this sector there are a combination of Mountain star #9 with Water star #3. Due to the inauspicious #3 star located at that sector; if you see the recommended colours: GREEN is not ideal; here. Thus, imagine IF this is the main door area; green should be avoided. In each bedroom, the same process is looked into. With an added consideration: the person or combined person's best colours are also considered in addition to what was mentioned above. Here, this is how Compass School: Flying Star Feng Shui is applied. Contrast this with : North = Blue / black or grey ; South = Red , East = Green etc... Here, this is considered too general, today. Most likely, if someone where to tell you about this in the Year 1970, one would be impressed with this reasoning. But Hey! This is the 2014! And this is too rudimentary... Might as well say: go throw a dice: Heads = paint Blue. Tails = paint Green?
  3. In my opinion, several factors should be considered: 1. Is the septic tank located in the basement or buried outside the house. Located in the basement? 2. Sometimes, the quality of the sceptic tank is another consideration - how well made?
  4. 1. One has to differentiate the type of "water position" in a home or bedroom. 2. If the water position is one of those fountains or even fish tank; then this is not advisable. 3. The most utopian water "position" is actually a water fall. Here, natural water frictions with the air to create negative ions. 4. Today, air-purifiers generally consists of TWO main categories; 4.1. Air-cleaners (air-purifiers). And often, the better brands are graded as "Hospital grade" and some of the well know brands are Honeywell and Sharp. Many of such air-purifiers use an external layer of charcoal sheet and an internal air-filter. That can almost filter out 99.999% germs. And even pollens etc... Hospital grade air-cleaners use HEPA filters. 4.2. Air-cleaner + Ionizer. Brands like Sharp incorporates Ion module into their air-cleaner. Thus, it an be programmed to activate : - negative or - negative and positive ions to clean the air. Some air-conditioners have this feature. And some include silver nano technology. As "silver" is an excellent element where often, germs simply cannot attach itself or live off silver nano metal. 5. A brand like Sharp also has those water canisters to make the air-moist in an air con environment. So that one's skin will not be so dry. But it is not the water moisture that helps in health. But rather, some of these brands add the Ionizer module. And it is the Ionizer that does the job. Samsung had in recent years, produced and sold pure Ionizers to help kill 99.99% of germs. 6. Generally, air cleaners help to clean the air usually with Hepa cleaners. Water vapour systems help only to avoid too dry an air in an air-con room with our without Ionizers. While Ionizers are used to kill germs. Others use Silver nano technology also especially in some air-cons to clean the air - and kill germs. 7. Generally, these are OK.
  5. For practical reasons; please see my suggested simple improvement...
  6. 1. In mathematics: the key here is the Lowest Common Denominator. 2. Kua or Gua needs just one INPUT = Year of birth. 3. While Ba Zi or one's personal element is based on at least THREE Inputs : Year Month Day Hour (nice-to have) 4. Thus if you are looking at Ba Zi then it is based on one's personal element. 4.1. But if one just want to know one's Kua or Gua. Which is used by Compass School : Eight House then it is used, here. 5. Please check out or re-confirm for yourself. As the info here is only your year of birth. And make sure that you get also your birth-day, month and even hour correct to derive whether your element is "Earth". As a person whose birth date is 1.1.1982 will differ from someone whose birth date is 12.1.1982.
  7. 1. In simple terms,"Zi Wei Dou Shu" can be generally considered as Chinese Horoscope or Chinese Astrology or Chinese Animal signs. 2. Please see attached example. 3. Chinese Horoscope orZi Wei Dou Shu is based on one's Year of birth. Thus a person born in 1980 based on his Year of birth is a Monkey. And his heavenly stem is a metal element. Therefore, he can be considered as a Metal-Monkey. 4. But Ba Zi does not only consider one's Year of Birth. Ba Zi element is based on one's DAY of birth. 4a. In this example: if you check his chart, his DAY of birth is a water pig. 4b. Please note that not all Ba Zi charts are equal. Some geomancers for convenience does not take into consideration TWO additional charts: House of Life and House of Conception. 4c. House of Life can affect the final outcome. For example : either a WEAK or STRONG chart. Thus in this example, this person was ultimately considered as a weak Water person. If you have the time, you can read more as to why different geomancers may provide different results even in a Ba zi report:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new=
  8. Sago street was in the past a street of "grief" where daily procession of funerals were conducted. Can you see a funeral procession in the photo?
  9. Chinatown, Hokien Street in the 1920's....
  10. Photo showing: Fullerton Building. In the background one can see the Bank of China building was under construction, then in 1954
  11. HSBC in the 1950's. To the right is the GPO building
  12. Iconic HSBC's building facing GPO building in the 1910's
  13. The old Hotel Singapura in Orchard Road in the 1960's
  14. A while back, I visited a client in Bukit Merah. As his HDB flat is more than 30 years old; he told me that nearly every day; someone in his "slab" block is always changing floor tiles. And the noise from such renovations is quite unbearable. Fast-forward... two years ago, I visited the Sky Habitat show-room. And was "surprised" that such a large designer condo "slab" made up of two huge towers only provide "ceramic" floor tiles... And often, there is a likelyhood that especially after the flat(s) changed hands, some owners may most likely change the floor tiles. And since there are so many units in each block in Sky Habitat... erh... good luck to the owners! Assuming if just one owner in the near future does renovations in his/her flat... I find it a nightmare to stay in this development... and it sucks!
  15. Frankly, there are divisions on this. If you have the time, please go thru this entire thread:http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new=
  16. Illustration showing two options: Option A: with a partition or Option B: without a partition
  17. If you have the time; do read my comments on the attachment.
  18. The pillar is non-threatening...(as it is so far away from your frontage wall) even without the folding table to "shield" it.
  19. Please check out my comments on the two attachment photos. In one of the photos; there are actually two additional lamp-posts and even a tree trunk... close-by
  20. What the view would be like in the past... from or around Sea View hotel at that time...
  21. 1. Thanks for the two additional photos. 2. These two photos are often the proper or correct method or idea of checking for poison arrows. 3. In the first photo, the apex or pointed-roof is a distance away and it is clearly not aligned towards your unit. Thus confirm, this is not a threat to your main door. 4. As expected, the rounding of the lamp post, also seems or looks non-threatening. It would be different if it is pointed and vertical. 5. From this "level" everything seems pretty "peaceful-looking" as compared to your earlier two photos i.e. taking photo shots looking down from your corridor balcony.
  22. In my opinion, the best way to re-confirm any poison arrow threats is to take photos PARALLEL to the corridor wall. And not to taken "elevated" photos higher than the original corridor wall. However, based on the two photos; I can only guess .... and my comments are on the two attachments.
