  1. If one is not a vegetarian, then food helmed by devoted sellers.. try this soup based Hokkien mee with lots of assorted ingredients at Cheng Yan Court.. Don’t worry about these chillies; they add flavour but relatively harmless..
  2. Kwan Im Thong Hood Choo Temple (Goddesses of Mercy) is one of the most popular temple. Located at Waterloo Street. A popular destination for the locals, the many vendors and tourists. Since this temple is centrally located with so many ancillary shops supporting it. Such as selling Goddesses of Mercy figurines, provision shops herbs and dried goods.
  3. These stoves highlighted by the arrows are often really meant to be used in someone’s service yard in a HDB flat or behind yard of a landed property. The red ones are often ceremonial..for move-in purposes..
  4. Charcoal stoves at Jurong East.. For now this shop Joo Seng Siang Hang has plenty of them...(for now?). The shop is located in a HDB block at this Yuhua Village. In the next few years or a decade.. may be hard to purchase one. For info, these are non-red ones. And traditional were really used in place of an electric or gas stoves. All red glazed ones are more for move-in rituals...
  5. Dover Parkview belongs to the era where semi circular steps radiating out of each block’s entrance was popular in the 1990’s:- Another feature is an air-well only at the roof/TOP opening
  6. Another CDL’s project Coco Palms also most likely will TOP soon. Most likely in early 2018. Beautifully landscaped. Workers are putting up the finishing touch.
  7. d’nest Just T.O.P. Good that each storey’s central rubbish chute (for this development there are two: with an extra recycling bin) are concentrated within it’s own cubicle. Much like one sees in many HDB flats.
  8. Just T.O.P. HDB Fern grove exterior walls are lime green + white. The rest of the photos that have brown + white exterior walls are that of it’s next door neighbour: HDB Park Grove MSCP CARPARK Block 676 has the distinctive planters as shown below:-
  9. Good morning Cecil, did not expect that we will received much earlier. Well done & thank you!
  10. Holistic approach of looking at everything together: The Location, The Unit & the fit with the main breadwinner.
  11. The "Good, the bad and the ugly": Where does the unit fall into? As mentioned earlier, a unit may fall under Senario 1, 2 or 3. Which is akin to a bell curve where there can be excellent, average and below average units.. It is like a bad year. A person with lots of good "aura" can certainly "ACE" it. But if a person is down and out like Senario 3; meets his/her downfall... got it ... get it?
  12. These are some considerations: 1. Under Symbolism a staircase facing the main door literally implies "wealth" flowing down the stairs and out-of-the unit. 2. Thus, this is akin to a grandmother's tale. And thus many geomancers have equally automatically advice that this is really bad. 3. However Feng Shui is all about the Big Picture: Location, location and location. 3.1 Senario 1: Some homes are like a new BMW or Mercedes Benz. Occasionally, they can even be Porches or a Roll Royce. Thus in such a situation, a minor blemish like a roof terrace staircase as what you had mentioned will not even create a dent in the "luck of the house". 3.2. Senario 2: If the overall unit is like an unpolished gem; need to activate the luck; then again, this staircase thing can easily be negated or reduced or neutralized. 3.3. Senario 3: If the unit is however like a 10 year old 1,000 cc car; even if it is brand new; and an issue like a staircase facing the main door becomes more like a fatal concern. 4. The Concept of Maximizing Marks 4.1. All of us have taken written examinations. For example, if we are suppose to answer 4 out of 10 questions. 4.2. Many teachers would advice their students not to spent TOO MUCH time on answering e.g. 3 questions and skip the last question. This is because by answering part of the last question one may get some marks out of the 25 marks allocated to it. 4.3. Same here. For example under above Senario 2; turn the unpolished gem into a real gem. And the staircase thing is negated. 4.4. However, if the unit is like Senario 3.. good luck to those staying there. As often, it is much harder to squeeze out the luck. Take it then that for this category, the staircase is considered as one Major Flaw of the home. And usually, it take three major flaws to become fatal. And this could be it. 5. You wrote: "it bad if main door faces stairs to roof terrace? If yes, what can be done? " 5.1 In conclusion, if your home is equivalent of Senario 1 and 2, then no issue. Or nothing NEED to be DONE. 5.2. For Senario 3: your guess is good as mine. Either don't buy the unit OR better pray .. since common sense says... what can be done is to relocate the stairs.. not possible? Then don't ask me this.
  13. This is a recent forum posting of November 7 2017, with similar questions as yours. If one has the time can go through the resource:-
  14. Location, location and location. This is one of the major statements in Feng Shui: "The Shapes (Shapes and Forms) prevail over the Stars (Flying Stars)."
  15. A recently opened coffee shop, called Food Village, is situated at Punggol Waterway and does not have air conditioning. The restrooms are accessed through significant vertical barriers constructed from clear plastic. Such an environment could promote the growth of bacteria. I would be reluctant to buy food from the vendors in this vicinity, especially if the stall operators fail to wash their hands after handling it.
  16. Satay Surabaya Or Indonesian style satay. At this stall in a coffee shop at block 19A HDB Dover Ville. Frankly have not tried this stall’s satay. But I do love Indonesia style ones: usually no dipping into peanut sauce; as the spices or sauce is the “dry” type that is locked into that one stick of fragrant satay.
  17. This type of design is a variation of the “thick-u-pipe” design. Only thing is it has a more “sexy” curve that the usual U poles that we seen at several MRT stations in Singapore: such as at Boon Keng or Mountbatten. Such a pole is preferred over that at The Star ( which I previously mentioned in an earlier thread). As a user can comfortably use one or several locks such as the recommended U-lock to secure several parts of their bike.
  18. This bicycle rack can be found beside the Taxi stand if The Star at Buona Vista. It looks more like a stylish stainless steel stump. But it’s weakness is that at most it may help to secure the front-wheel. Or if got a large wire lock the body of a bicycle. There were many bicycle that had their valuable body + rear stolen. As the front wheels can easily be detached from the rest of the bike! Must have been designed by a non bike user! Look good. But lousy way to secure a bicycle! Flexible wire chain locks are one of the easiest to breach:-
  19. Contrary to popular belief; a conservative geomancer would indeed automatically associate a home at a T-junction as bad. In my opinion, after looking at the photos; the T-junction does not look threatening towards your new home: 1. The land is so spacious and relatively large. 1.1 And your new home is well set-back quite a distance from the T-junction. 1.2 Helped greatly by the letter box fence + this side of the home Looks like it has two “small windows”. 2. The above are positive factors. 3. Furthermore you mentioned that the T-junction is up a Hill. And looking at this service road; it also does not look busy. 4. Thus in conclusion the T-junction does not seem a threat to your home.
  20. Some ID’s will even tell you that their carpentry Contractor does not use left-over wood from other projects
  21. Foundation work just started for both HDB Sunrise I and II
