  1. This thread or Topic: Photo Tour of Interests has detailed resources of all kinds or "Mother of all" Ba Gua mirrors.. This is Part I of the resources on this subject.. there are many more parts to this types of Ba gua mirror saga. http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=10391 In Hokkien; it is also called "Pakua" mirror. So if you come upon a resource of Pakua or Ba Gua or BaGua mirror; then they are one and the same....
  2. These are some of the considerations: 1. If you are purely looking at countering the neighbour's mirror; than by tradition; if their mirror isa conVEX one; 2. The counter is a conCAVE mirror. 3. The bagua trigram on the neighbour's bagua has more to do with "scaring" spirits away; and the charm is part of this arena. 4. Thus, the attachment shows a sample of a plain conCAVE mirror to counter the conVEX one. 5. Such mirrors (as shown in your photo) and my photo comes in TWO sizes. From what I can tell; the one you took is approximately 3 inches; if so, try to obtain a conCAVE mirror that is similar in size approximately 3 inches. There is a slightly larger one for both of these. But try to use the same size mirror it one wants to counter "it". 6. Last resort is a flat mirror; but as mentioned as a "last resort" if cannot find a similar mirror. There is no need to use one with the ba gua trigram and a concave mirror in the middle... as you don't intend it to be for para 3...
  3. In general (very general); up to 2023; SW is the indirect water spirit location; thus; generally, a water position there may / or most probably is OK or acceptable. As for water position at East.... beyond this Free General Advice forum.
  4. These are some of the considerations: 1. A picture or sketch tells a thousand words = none. 2. What kind of altar is it? 2.1. A Catholic altar? 2.2. A typical Chinese altar? Even within the Chinese altar; there are many groupings:- 2.2.1 Ancestor altar 2.2.2Guan Gong (usually face the main door) 2.2.3Guan Yin (Goddness of Mercy) 2.2.4Jade Emperor etc... 3. Even buddha "altar". 4. Indian pooja or puja room / altar. 5. In general; an altar:- 5.1. Should not have it's back against a toilet wall 5.2. facing a bedroom 5.3. Preferred that it should not be at the NE or SW sector of a home 5.4. Placed below abeam There are LOTs more.. just that my fingers need to crawl somewhere to complete my other tasks...
  5. Futher to what I had mentioned; frankly, this is beyond this forum. As the neighbour's mirror could / or maybe could be only a contributing factor to you and partner's woes.... The reasoning is based on Feng Shui Triage
  6. These are futher considerations:- 1. When buying low floors; besides the other considerations I had mentioned e.g. rubbish dump area / power station; service road leading to covered car-park: 1.1. For low floors; try to imagine whether considering the purchase of a unit close-by to the club-house may have external threats... 1.2. External threats can be trellises; or even the roof of the club house et... 1.3. Tree trunks slicing into the living room or other rooms or areas of the home..
  7. Further to what I had mentioned; 1. If one has a habbit of not leaving the main entrance door open nor intend to do so; then automatically, the facing direction is usually the area or facade that has the most light coming in as well as the greater the number of windows at this facade the greater the chance of qi coming in. 2. Thus often, the stack facing is a higher probability of it considered as the "facing" direction. 3. In terms of ranking via the Flying Star Feng Shui; 3.1. Best facing directions from now Period 8: upto 2023 are:- 3.1.1. Ranked 1: South-West (but in this development; the North-East may seem to be the better choice) if the SW does not oversea a pool or do not have as much a good view as North-East facing units. 3.1.2. Ranked 2: South (As mentioned previously; for this development; South coincides with the "pool view" for some of the units. 3.1.3. Others: In general; North facing homes have only a good star at the frontage and other sectors of the home are littered with lots of bad flying stars. So is NE or SE facing units. 4. For low floors, especially ground or 1st storey; units near to the club house; do look into whether the club-house shape e.g. corner of the club house edge acts like a shar qi or poison arrows. 5. Check how the cars enter into the basement car-park and whether it has any effects on an apartment one is considering = especially for low floor units. And how cars driving on the service road entering say the common car park pose noise issues. 6. Check where is the power station / rubbish dump area. 7. Look at the other development (and if it is also not completed) yet; try to imagine whether there are "ugly" views or poison arrows coming from sharp angles from own development or external development. 8. As mentioned in my first message; check against the dreaded afternoon sun. Whether it soaks into an unseen wall or filters into the home... (if any).
  8. 1. In general, try to avoid units facing the main road: Bedok Reservoir Road: have not gone into detalls but under Period 8; North stack facing directions are not the best. 2. In this development; the South facing would be the most popular; given that under this period South facing have the better qi (up to 2023). - Of course, pool view would be more expensive; and concindentally, many of the South facing especially S2 and S3 are good choices even if one is a west group. 3. From an eye-ball look; there should be some NE facing flats... these can be considered. SW is another consideration. 4. Again, just imagine where the afternoon sun comes into the development and take this into consideration for the purchase.
  9. 1. Please go and examine this resource:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 2. Usually, this concept has more to do with things like: I have not bought a home, yet; or I would like to build or construct a brand new home. 3. For example; you have to face reality: 3.1. You bought a green Toyota Camry. And some joker tells you that car colour is no good for you. So, what cure is there? If you want a cure; then respray the colour of your car! You mean you want to stick a bagua mirror on the car or something else as crazy as this? 3.2 Even if you bang your head against the wall; hoping for a cure; I believe; if one were to ask God; help me... he will say.. so sorry... it is even beyond, me... 4. So how? I have bought this home, stayed in; so you want me to move out? 5. Goread up this article:The Concept of Maximizing Marks 6. Look at it this way; 50 percent are east group and 50 percent are west group. Statistically speaking; even today, many are in your shoes... And if you are applying Fung Sway; then The Concept of Maximizing Marks; makes sense please. 7. Frankly, there is nothing confusing, here. Tell me; if you room is in a good sector well and fine. But if it is not; pray to God and ask for the home to rotate or change the internal organs of the home.
  10. Thanks for the photo. However; can't really make out what is the mirror at the centre of the ba gua. To me; it seems to look like a conVEX mirror. There is a difference between conVEX and conCAVE mirror. ConVEX is a mirror that protudes like a gold fish eyes; while a conCAVE is literally curved inwards; which is which? Thanks!
  11. These are some of the considerations:- 1. One of the most critical concerns (if any) is an unexpected accident; as we all know; I have seen many cases recently of reckless cars and even heavy transport "skidding" into dividers; into bus stops and into anything that the cars or vans or trucks "could get it's hand in". 2. This is commonsense and one of the chief concerns of many. 3. Thus, as you had described; especially the home is not at a dangerous turn and the apartment is at 2nd storey; Para 1; happening is next to impossible for that apartment. 4. Noise pollution This is subjective. Some can live with some noise while others may feel uncomfortalbe over it. 5. Unease driven issues... 5.1. Just imagine, if you or your family members is concerned with an apartment at or close to the junction; what would others feel also. This has more to do with feelings. If one feels an unease; all the time then; it ain't good. As this would affects a person's Human "luck" i.e. feel good or bad factor. 6. In Singapore, most HDB landscaping is a blessing in disguise and most of what you and everyone else feels is thus more of a Human factor; then Feng Shui. 7. Ultimately, if you have concerns; in the future; should you want to sel the apartment; you may meet the same sort of resistance. 8. Usually Can or cannot buy; is about comparing one apartment with another apartment. Thus, this is a standalone and there is no other apartment to compare with. 9. For most people; always bring along family members to view the apartment. And if there is a remote chance of afternoon sun; do visit the apartment around late afternoon; and make sure that the air-con is not turned on. I believe this is not an issue usually for a 2nd storey level flat. What is more disturbing usually is or could be the noise level generated by traffic. 10. Do take note that roads with cars are like water courses and if a real audit is done; often, this involves looking at the "flow" of water ... whether it is OK or inauspicous for a home (apartment).
  12. In my opinion; for this year, the red night-light is sufficient. No need a wind-chime nor additional metal cure at that sector.
  13. Reference: http://talk.geomancy.net These are some considerations:- 1. In general, somehow for convenience; an industry is slotted into a specific element. Thus, in general; oil as you had mentioned is considered as belonging to the fire element. While in general, transportation is considered as belonging to the wood industry. 2. Frankly, there is no right or wrong answers; Look at where we are today! We are in the age of "multi-tasking" and "multi-skilling". 3. Therefore, there is really no end to the various (if what questions) like we transport oil so what should we be considered? What happens if one is transporting milk? What industry should that be in. Or we are transporting food from warehouse to our chain of macdonalds restaurant. 4. There are so many variations; 5. First and foremost; DIY. Go DIY route. Go master the Five Elements and go figure out what you think this or that belongs to. So long as you can have good justification; no one can fault you. 6. Furthermore, under Strategic Management considerations; on one hand there is the industry one is in; and also there can be someone with a specific task. 7. Thus, now for me to ask you a question: What if I am in a control room running a set of automated trains carrying oil... You go figure it out.. instead of .. asking me to figure it. 8. There are endless permutations and types of careers and job specifications. 9. As I had mentioned previously; take a job like the CEO's job. Many CEO's are in-charge of everything from HR (recruitment, promotion, firing); he may also be incharge of the Production department; he is also incharge of Marketing and Sales; he is in-charge of Legal, and accounting. He is also in-charge of growing the company. 10. The morale of the story, here is that in modern times; most persons would have to deal with more than one job function. No point figuring out what the industry is or may be or could be. Zoom in into the specific or main job duties of the person. And expect to justify your reasoning. 11. For example, maybe, in ancient times; a butcher is a butcher; a cook is a cook; but nowadays, with multi-skilling; everything is expanded. 12. I repeat; there is no right or wrong answer; and each person's job specifications may differ accordingly. 13. The worst case senario is to reverse engineer: Think which career is suppose to be auspicious and work around the career to fit it as becoming auspicious career to that person.... Anyway, all these are "small things" or peanuts. One is not going to achieve great things by constantly considering; is my current job right ....
  14. These are the considerations:- 1. Firstly, the way you post the info can be confusing. 2. Secondly, there is such thing as Yang and Yin Feng Shui. 3. For Yang Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the living, like you and me; based on the rough info that you had provided; assuming facing direction is your good direction and if you are an East Group; which you have stated as SE; naturally, your best facing directions are all the North, South, SE and East directions. 4. Yin Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the day is different. Firstly are you living person or a dead person? If one is dead (deceased or kaput); then Yin Feng Shui is about sittting on a good direction facing the bad direction. 5. So you want to apply : "Dead (Yin)" or "Alive (Yang)" Feng Shui? 6. If one is alive; then one should properly apply the correct ONE. 7. For example, if you still can't understand; here goes:- 7.1. Imagine a living person: the living person can sit up, right? If so, when he sits up and work and study or read; based on the Eight House concept; he should be facing a good direction. 7.2. While sleeping (which applies to the dead also); the Head should face a good direction.
  15. Fortunately, there ain't no war! Else "MY HOME" stands up like a SORE THUMB!
  16. As your message did not mention what type of home; you intend to tilt. Further to what I had mentioned; better think twice IF one intends to till a terrace home. For example, still possible to tilt a corner unit of a terrace. But again, further study is needed; as it also depends on the angle of tilt and how it affects the overall top-down (helicopter view) profile: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, a corner under such as that shown under Marking in RED "A". I don't see how one could tilt say a terrace home sandwiched between other homes such as shown as Marking in RED "C". For both a terrace home and may / could include a semi-detached home; further investigations may be needed. While; if the home is a standalone such as a bungalow house; then, this has a better chance of success especially if the angle is not too acute and the new shape harmonises with it's surroundings. Dear Master,We recently bought a North 2 facing house (10 degree) and planning to change the house direction to NE by tilting the FRONT wall of the house 25 degree. To ensure that the Sitting Palace will also change to SW we will do the same to the back wall of the house. Please advice by tilting the FRONT AND BACK WALL (not the door) of the house, is this enough and the correct method of changing the house type?Thank you so much for your reply as this is troubling our family.brgdsLee
  17. These are some considerations:- 1. Location, location and location: 1.1. How large is the home's frontage and how much space is there between the home and the neighbours? 1.2. If the home is a standalone e.g. bungalow; then much the better. 1.3. But if the home is sandwiched between a block of homes e.g. a block of terrace homes "joined" together; then the actual facing direction is based on the "uniform" block of terrace homes. Thus, even if you change your facing direction of the home; it may be temporary and - if say you tilt at say 25 degrees; the terrace home stands out like a sore thumb! 2. But if the home is a bungalow (standalone); higher the success rate if one tilts the entire home. But if the tilt is again for just the main door; then again this is considered temporary. Ultimately, the home would still have the facing based on the entire frontage of the home. 3. There is no difference; say if one places the main door sideways... it is the facing direction that mostly counts. 4. Frankly, best to get a geomancer to look at the feasibility on-site as it is only fool hardy really to rely on advice by penning down a few lines of text. Imagination (right or wrong) may apply in an all text message.
  18. Please do a search before posting a message. Do you know that I had just posted a similar info on this subject? A few days ago? http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=29083&new=
  19. Frankly, please re-read my earlier reply. The clue (I repeat) again is : How many mouth does a home have?
  20. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Do you think a person or individual or a "normal" human being has how many mouths? 2. Determine where is the frontage of the home and back of the home. Then:- 2.1 In my opinion, based on the layout plan; the mouth of your home seems to be at Marking in purple "A". This could most likely be the frontage of the home. (One never know; marking in RED, "B" could maybe be the facing direction - instead of at the purple "A".) 3. But nevermind, we are not directly looking into the facing and sitting direction. 4. Assuming that marking in purple "A" is the facing and mouth of the house;then as mentioned under Para 1; above; this house should have only one proper mouth. 5. Thus, the garage door in this instance should not be considered as the mouth of the house. If so, there should not be an issue with the garage door facing the internal staircase.
  21. Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!
  22. Thanks for your photo! If not for your photo; this time around, my toes truly laughed and laughed until wanted to consider if I could tie them up or "bind" them like the bad old days in China.. The door handles are just like "pussy" cats or kittens! Won't hurt a fly! Oh..my cat just saw your message and Garfield is now licking his feet and his feet seems to tremble; looks more like my cat, first time has his toes laughing all the way. non-stop! The morale of the story! Laughter is contagious.. and It's PEANUTS!
  23. This has more to do literally with commonsense. For example, majority of the time:- 1. Landed property: Most of the time, this is the clear space area or passage way area. 2. For many smaller condos; usually, this area is close to the passageway leading towards the other "organs" of the home. 3. For some condos and government housing board flats; this area is sometimes within the toilet and or toilet door area or again the passage way area. 4. Thus, commonsense would mean that most likely if any hacking; would be the "surrounding rooms e.g. making the master bedroom larger or demolishing a wall in the bedroom area for a walk-in wardrope or making the room larger or even partition it. 5. Thus, commonsense or cowsense says that 99 percent of all homes be it landed or condo or private flats; there is really nothing much at the centerpoint - other than usually fixtures. It is not like one often encounter a bedroom smack in the middle of the bedroom or other important rooms that need configuration. 6. Therefore, you are merely stating the obvious; just that maybe one just don't see it; 7. So what if one hangs a piece nail to place a picture on a wall; usually such things ain't even considered as a "renovation". 8. If one's home is a palace or white house with "wings"; then maybe; but tiny apartments or homes... is as mentioned above, often fixed. For example, if the centrepoint is at the toilet door; what renovation are you talking about? Removing the toilet door - an open concept toilet where every one else in the home can see one bathing etc... 9. For information, under the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; where: there is the "Bird or phoenix"; the tortise; the green dragon and white tiger; the center is considered as belonging to the earth element.
