Where the foot print of such an altar measures: Length = 60cm by Width = 40cm. While a standard off-the-shelf commercial altar measures 60cm by 60cm. B. SHOE CABINET 2. This is also very common width of a shoe cabinet. Ensuring that the shoes can be placed horizontally. C. PARTITION INSIDE THE HOUSE FACING THE DOOR 3. A good thickness for such a partition. Also this is the customized dimensions for altar with a single deity for the home. B. KITCHEN CABINET WIDTH 2. Standard width of kitchen cabinet width is 60 cm or 2 feet. And many kitchen appliances are tailor made to this width: kitchen sink, stove and even built in ovens. 3. In the past, contractors charge the kitchen cabinets by multiplying 60cm (2 feet) with the length of such kitchen cabinets. Today, this is often no longer mentioned in the contractor's / Interior Designer's quotation. C. WARDROPE 4. Standard ward-rope with casement doors have 60cm width. However, for ward-ropes with sliding doors, the ward-rope plus the sliding doors add up to around 66cm - depending on thickness of the sliding doors. D. FRONT LOADING WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER 5. All front loading washing machines and dryers are of 60cm by 60cm dimensions. E. KITCHEN BUILT IN OVENS 6. All built in kitchen ovens are also of the 60cm by 60cm by 60cm size. [Double walled] 6.1. This includes additional modules like built in microwave and coffee machines. This is to allow for a uniform look mostly for high end homes with large kitchen or with wet/dry kitchens. OR It does not matter if the kitchen cabinet has legs or skirting. Kitchen sink & stove table-top height [Default height is 34 inches or 86.4 cm] 1. The most popular default kitchen sink & stove table-top height is 34 inches or 86.4 cm. You can find this height amongst many condo units built on or after 1999 onwards. 2. However, in recent years, many condos and EC kitchens shrank to the extend that the kitchen and service yard had merged. And often the washing machine cum dryer are housed as part of the kitchen. 2.1. In order to allow for the placement of this washing machine, the total height of the kitchen table-top height has been raised to 89 cm to 91 cm or thereabouts. 2.2. In recent years, I also encountered younger clients who installed a dishwasher within the kitchen cabinet.
