1. In many busy areas of Singapore, homes and apartments are located next to temples or other places of worship. 2. Both new and older apartments are often close to temples, making it difficult to avoid seeing one from your home. Some recent examples include condo buildings on Guillemard Road, Compassvale Bow (Sengkang), Telok Kurau Road, Serangoon North, Boon Lay, and Balestier Road. 3. Here are some points to consider: 3.1. It is best to avoid buying a home that faces directly toward a temple, such as a ground-floor or second-story unit with a living room or balcony overlooking the temple. 3.2. Avoid hanging wind chimes that face the temple. 3.3…

Oops I think I have confused you with the sentence "Here attached showed the side view of my current made altar which is wrong doing. Previous was only front view. But according to the side as attached do I still need to follow the measurement by you for the previous attachment name altar dimensions.jpg??". I mean at the side view there are two small cabinet box attached with the altar. And there are also three pillars at the left and right side for the design of this altar. Is that auspicious having the three pillar at the both side left and rightand alsoon top of the Kuan Yin God three pillar too?

1. Please see this illustration. 2. This partition is long and covers the entire main entrance door. 3. In addition, it is full height up to the entire ceiling of the house. 3.1. As mentioned in some of the earlier threads; full height and especially now that it is "air-tight" means that light from the living room cannot filter to the main door. Thus generally, making the foyer area dim. 3.2. Another thing I would like to highlight with this "air-tight" partition is that often for safety reasons; those sitting at the sofa area will not see who is coming in or if a family member is at the main door talking to a person or stranger. 3.3. Personally, I would still prefe…

About Le Cresendo Condominum I recently visited Le Cresendo and captured some images of the church. The majority of the views from the bedrooms or kitchens don't appear to be intimidating... However, this is just my personal opinion. The only issue is that if you ever need to sell the apartment, potential buyers may have the same concerns as your initial doubts. 1. These are some factors to consider: 1.1. If one is worried about living near a temple, church, or similar establishment, others may have the same concerns. 1.2. With property prices on the rise and new developments closer to MRTs, it's important to think about how this will affect resale value. …

It is a widespread practice in numerous Chinese households to display a Hokkien "ang chai" or "Hong Cai" above the primary entrance. The Hong Cai represents joy and good fortune, particularly for the Hokkien community. This tradition is commonly observed when moving into a new residence, during the Chinese New Year, or at the start of each new year. Additionally, it is customary to hang the Hong Cai for weddings, newlyweds, and birthdays.

Hi Master Cecil, Good Day! I would humbly like to ask for you advice regarding my house facing. My property is facing NE2 - 46 degrees, but my main door is angled towards NE1 - 35 degrees. (only 11 degrees difference) Would my house be considered an NE1 house or NE2 house? Thank you.

1. The image also depicts a tree (tree trunk) positioned in front of the house. However, it is important to note that the tree does not present any danger to the home. Please refer to the attached file for more details.

Dear Master Cecil, Thank you for your views which are helpful. Regarding yourcomment in point 5 below, I would like to clarify the details: Cecil L. wrote: 5. Generally, based on your picture, the Shapes and forms is still sound. Whether good or bad to place a mirror depends on micro or even flying star feng shui to see if that sector is good or bad. the flying stars here are 3m-8b-2w as the entrance is in the NW Sector with the main door( and mirror on the wall) facing SW. So is it good or bad to have the mirrorhere ? I've heard from some friends that its taboo to hav…

Dear Anon, 1. To be completely candid, such items do not possess any "magical" attributes. 2. In recent years, a significant number of these products have become purely commercial ventures... Somehow, many individuals appear to be swayed by marketing tactics into purchasing these items. 3. To be truthful, these commercial goods are prevalent because they can be produced inexpensively and sold at a high price. Furthermore, many of these items do not guarantee wealth for their owners! Once sold, caveat emptor! "Let the buyer beware!" 4. Consider it this way: during the era of my parents, grandparents, or even great-grandparents, many of these products we…

Most expensive stacks in Adora Green. Photos taken on the opposite side of the pond over-looking Adora Green. Only when one looks at the photos; then one gets a "clue" as to why the stacks highlighted; seems to be the most expensive in the EYES of the consumer (purchasers) of specific stacks in this development. From a Feng Shui point of view; if one were to be at the Adora Green BTO site; one would be wondering : Why so expensive, given that the stacks are at a angle ; at the noisy junction? Another negative that some felt may be a liability is that these stacks are directly facing the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Yishun.

Dear Master We'll be moving to a new flat soon, and would like to consult you on a good altar position for our Guanyin which we'll be moving over from current house. Pls see our unit layout as attached. There are 3 potential positions we're looking at: A: right next to main door, with adjacent DB (databox) which cannot be relocated. Width is only 48cm between main door and DB. B: with bomb shelter as backing, outside kitchen. ? immediate position adjacent to main door when it's fully opened All positions do not get the sun. Other questions: 1. Is it not advisable to have the shoe cabinet next or under the altar? Really tight on space to entertain this thou…

The saying goes " a picture tells a thousand words". Frankly, might as well throwa dice if you are asking whether to move-in solely on general (brief descriptions) - and usually, hope you understand, I don't usually have time to scan and figure out a whole paragraph of information. It is similar to a resume - it has been widely stated that a human resource personnel takes a "three seconds" glance at it; and just chuck it away. Rob K. wrote: Thank you for getting back to me on this. This is a top view of the flat, our other concern is that it is above a successful celeb cosmetic dental clinic. The main door/enter…

Hi Master Cecil, Happy Lunar New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai! I have a few questions which I hope you can help: I have read from your previous postings and replies that altar dimensions from floor to table top should be between 124.1cm and 128cm, the ideal being 126cm. May I ask if this dimension includes the 'base height' of certain Guan Yin Statuettes? Some statuettes come attached with a base (e.g. a lotus flower base) of about 10cm where Guan Yin sits on, hence, if we add the dimensions of the base, it will be 136cm (if floor to table top is 126cm). On the fengshui ruler, it would not be considered auspicious, is that a concern? Secondly, are ther…

Hi master, My family is looking at a resale at waterwoods ec. I have drawn the unit on the map and it should be facing the t junction. And also uploaded the floor plan and the unit I am looking at is level [xx for privacy have hidden it for you - Cecil Lee] Two concerns: 1. The master bed room, 2 room and balcony appears to be facing the junction. 2. Once the main door is opened, it is directly pointing to the kitchen. Should be no way to build a wall to obstruct the direct to kitchen from main door. Please share with me some of your advice. Cheers

A client like this shoe cabinet design as it is functional. To sum up, Option 1 is considered the safest choice, while the feasibility of Option 3 depends on clearance measurements, ideally about 1 meter. Additionally, cabinet door designs should steer clear of reflective materials and louvers to align with both aesthetic and practical Feng Shui principles.

Dear Sir, In a Property Review you did in 2015 on HDB Tampines GreenLace. under para 3 in the following:- -------- 3. NE1 facing stacks = 42 &44 with SW1 facing stacks = 24. 3.1 NE1. Has the auspicious water wealth #8 star at the frontage. Thus, units with water position at the frontage (balcony side) can enjoy good Feng Shui. If so, the sum-of-ten can be activated for : Health, wealth and family luck. If the unit is not facing a water position, then best to place a water position at the balcony area to activate the luck. On the downside; the other sectors in such a home has bad stars that best to be disarmed or neu…

1. As I mentioned earlier, sometimes we look at a picture and only see a single image. 2. For example, in many cases, people may think of something as a missing corner, when in fact the sector should actually be seen as a protrusion. 3. In this situation, there is a potential issue known as "Sha Qi," which means poison arrow. 4. Fortunately, there is a significant distance between the area marked in purple, from C to D. For condos and even lower-ceiling HDBs, this means the "poison arrow" effect is negligible because the distance is quite large. 5. Please see the attachment.

Iam very distressed by my new neighbour. Staying in HDB and being Indians, they like to dry their clothing in the common walkway. Their cloth hanger, that is the bamboo pole to hang their clothing is pointing directly towards my door. I put plants and crystals to deflect the poles which is considered poison arrows. I just hate it and I have strong desire to move out. Pls help and advise how to harmonise.

1. In theory, or in general, the plot of land you described is considered inauspicious because it is wider at the front and narrower at the back. Based on Shapes and Forms principles, this is already seen as an unfavorable sign. 2. Remedies for this are mostly about applying other Feng Shui concepts to maximize good luck, such as enhancing areas with positive qi and minimizing areas with negative qi. 3. Since this shape is seen as a "major wealth leak" in Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, owners should be careful not to introduce more sources of wealth loss, as this can lead to ongoing financial decline. 4. If you are unsure, it is best to review other lots first…
