Dear Master Cecil, I have planned to move house on the 23rd of dec 2017. My zodiac is rabbit. I just realised that my mother who is already living in the house is a tiger and 23rd dec 17 clashes with a tiger. Can I still move in on the 23rd dec 2017? if no, is there any other suitable date for moving in december 2017? Thanks very much!

Hi Master. Is it correct to say that Feng Shui cures must be activated with the “intention” to transform them in a cure? Otherwise it could happen that a simple red night light (the ones to avoid to hit corners while commuting to the bathroom....) or the red switch of an electrical power strip could be classified as Feng Shui cures with very negative outcome if they happen to be in the wrong place. The same happens for painting or pictures of water of mountain placed in wrong place by an unaware house wife. Again: many objects in the house are objects with a mass, does this mean that an iron on the iron board next to the wall activates a mountain star, maybe a very …

Hi Cecil, I did the free reports on your web and found out that my bazi I am wood and east direction and my hb bazi is oso wood and southeast direction . happened that both our kua is east group as well. Our house frontage is a S2/3 facing where our main door is at NE sector and bedroom is at W sector . Under period 8 flying stars understand the frontage is good for us however with our bedroom location facing west (not so ideal direction for east grp but with good numbers 1 and 6) and main door at northeast (with bad numbers like 7,2,9) is this still considered a good unit for us? I have also read tht kitchen must Not be at nw area which thankfully it is not . May I chec…

Dear YC, Yes, symbolism is very important in Feng Shui: 1. Most importantly paintings must not show animals that are `fierce'; too thin; on the prowl & looks hungry etc... 2. Since, you have mentioned that the painting is a resting, friendly tiger, in my opinion, this is acceptable painting. Where possible, place this painting in areas where there is clear space e.g. living room area. And not in enclosed or small confines of a bedroom. 3. Other types of paintings: 3.1 Paintings near main entrance or living room area: If one is using traditional Chinese paintings, one can use e.g. paintings such as 8 or 9 koi fishes. To symbolise clear space. Calligraphy is ok. 3.2 Pa…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just want to know if salt lamps are good for feng shui when placed in the house. Thank you very much. Generally, salt lamps are made from salt crystal rocks. Generally, it is not really a feng shui item or product. Just a decorative form of lighting feature. No issue in general to use it. In terms of best feng shui location, it is related more towards crystal. Under the feng shui, areas where there is auspicious mountain star (ie star 8/9/1 for period 8 houses, or 7/8/9 for period 7 houses), should benefit from having some form of mountain star feature. Typically a crystal or mountain picure. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEO…

Dear Mdm Tan, Glad that you find this website useful a. From a Feng Shui point of view:- 1. Generally, it is a site worth considering as: 1.1. all the blocks can be of very high floor(s) 1.2. higher floors have generally good unobstructed views 2. For such a development, often, the aim is to get higher floors vs lower (1 to 5 storeys) 3. Try to use the Eight House to check to see if the home especially fits the breadwinner. 4. Another major Feng Shui consideration has also to do with where is the afternoon sun? Generally, it would be good if the masterbedroom, bedrooms and even the living rooms are not "bathed" by the afternoon sun. 5. Even if the rooms …

Dear Laraine, The main important point to note is that even if you can see certain `pointed' arrows at your main door, they may not be `pointed' arrows. Based on what you have mentioned to me, some of the objects you mentioned most likely are not `poison' arrows. This is because, when standing at the main entrance door and looking out, we can see quite a range of things. What you need to remember is that: 1. It is not a poision arrow if it is not `aimed' at your main entrance. If I am not wrong, the TV aerial on your neighours house is placed on their roof and in such a situation, unless it `bends' down and like the barrel of a gun, aims at your house, this is not a `poi…

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a new house with the following layout. The 1st floor is rented out to a medical clinic (with a primary care physician, a dentist and a physical therapist). The 2nd floor is the primary residence area. I was wondering if it is okay to live above a clinic? Also, is the feng shui of the overall house okay? Is the kitchen too close to the entrance, bedroom, or the center of the house?

Hi Master Lee, I would like to seek your advice. I am currently considering an EC unit that is low floor and facing the lower part of an LRT track. It is quite near the curve. I would like to find out if there will be any poison arrow or sha qi? Thank you very much.

1. One hasto first determine whetherespecially the Male breadwinner is an East or West Group person:- 1.1. The mainfree report link is as follows:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports.htm 1.2 Use this report to find out whether one is an East or West Group person. http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-eight-house.htm 2. For example, if the male breadwinner is an East Group person; then based on the sitemap (facing direction of each stack), the better unit is where the stack is south facing e.g. South1 (157.5-172.4 degrees) , South2 (172.5-187.4 degrees) , South3 (187.5-202.4 degrees) i.e Nuovo stack 04. 2. Units by ranking at the Nuovo EC (…

Dear master, I am currently staying at my apartment for 7 years. Recently my place have been having some issues on electrical appliances breaking down. Firstly, the wine fridge broke down, next the internet was not working for my TV connection, my room ceiling fan is making noises, my brother's ceiling fan broke down. And on top of it, I'm staying with my parents and they have another apartment which they are renting out currently, but that apartment are also having multiple issues since the tenants came in the stay with alot of electrical issues on their air-conditioning breaking down, water heater exploding and others. 1) for the apartment I am staying with my par…

Dear Linda, 1. When using a compass, one has to be exact and plot the exact compass direction into one of the 15 degrees of the Flying Star chart. 2. Often, we may have to take readings out-side of the home to avoid any metallic disturbance e.g. high tensile steel embedded in the concrete structure of the home. 3. Sorry, I don't quite understand your question. "the Compass shows as SE but only over 10 degrees to SE do you consider it as SE or South " 4. As mentioned under Para 1 and 2, above, for SE facing homes: SE1 = 112.5 degrees to 127.4 degrees (120 degrees) SE2 = 127.5 degrees to 142.4 degrees (135 degrees) SE3 = 142.5 degrees to 157.4 degrees (150 degrees…

Based on pure common sense: "It is no point crying over spilled milk". Equally, no point banging one's head against the wall. Common sense says: The Concept of Maximizing Marks If it is there, what measure or measures are you talking about? You want a miracle to happen is it? Common sense, says, try toimprove in other areas.

Dear Judy, Please see below:- 1. Yes, you have brought up a very interesting question. 2. First of all, Chinese do place importance in phonetic sounds. For example, several years back when China opened up its economy, I believe, there was this Coca Cola advertisement where the interpretation of the words `Coca Cola' was interepreted to mean an inauspicious name. 3. Subsequently, Coca Cola, revised this ad. 4. Chinese language is quite `complex' and a pronunciation can provide as much as say 4 different meanings to a character alone. 5. For the Chinese, usually, there is no issue once an auspicious sounding name has been chosen. 6. In the past where there was no stand…

Dear Master, I am new to Feng Shui, so if my questions are obvious too many to you, sorry.. I am confused, need clarification. Though I already browsed around 1200 threads in your forum, I only came upon 2 threads that are similar to mine. I feel confused, hope for clarification on the rest of my following doubts. Here is my layout for reference. Please advise me the remedy if it is bad fengshui. main door area 1. ? Is it bad feng shui when there is a beam right above the main door 2. ? Is it bad feng shui if there are concealed shoes cabinet ('●') at both sides (one beside door entrance inside house, while another one is opp…

Dear Jack, In my opinion, it is advisable to check the `new' birth chart of a house to find out if it is better or ... worse off in changing the `direction' of the door. Usually, the birth chart based on Flying Star of the existing door direction is looked at (compared to) in relation with the new door direction. Here, one looks at all sectors and check the significance of each sector by looking at: 1. The 81 combinations i.e. comparing the Mountain # with the Water # and the resulting interpretation. 2. The `cures' required. If the original chart needs few `cures' at various sectors. But the new birth chart has lots of `cures'. In such a situation, the former chart is `…

1. These are some of the considerations:- 1.1. If one is a salaried worker and not involved in the planning or future planning of office sitting arrangement. There is relatively nothing much one can do, here. 1.2. If oen is a sole proprietor of the business; would normally or may have good earth luck by renting or owning a good premise(s) and a good sector (even if the facing direction) is not favourable. 2. Frankly, for the Eight House concept: it is nice-to-have working in a good sector (especially Flying star sector)and even equallynice-to-have seating facing a good direction. 3. The Eight House concept offers: no cure: It is eitheror not and no if's or but's. For …

Dear Lisa, 1. Using Flying Star and other forms of Feng Shui is basically to enhance our earth luck i.e. the luck of our home. 2. There are many other forms of `luck' such as: 2.1 Personal Luck 2.2 Luck derived from our `Heaven luck' or Pillars of Destiny. 2.3 Earth Luck thru understanding and usage of Feng Shui i.e. earth luck of the home. In order for us to be lucky or increase our luck, the above `luck factors' are taken into consideration. 2.2 is the other `method' of trying to increase our `Heaven luck'. The main idea is to increase all our luck factors and this would give us a chance to get things `done' smoothly. 3. The other factor is knowing our element and stren…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, there is really nothing magical about a wish box. It is similar to someone keeping a good luck charm. Since this does not fall into the category of Feng Shui or divinity, I am unable to answer your question. However, I do not really see any harm in keeping or treasuring it. Warmest Regards, Cecil
