Dear Carrie, Based on the Five elements concept, you should wear wood colours e.g. green or brown. Avoid wearing Red, pink or purple. The purpose is to reduce the imbalance caused by too much earth. You must not add more earth, as this cause too much earth. Remember that the Five Elements is all about balance. The imbalance of too much earth should be neutralised by e.g. wood element such as green or wood. You can also consider water element e.g. wearing it. This is because earth destroys water (under 5 elements to create wealth) and thus help exhaust earth element. Wishing you best of luck Warmest Regards, Cecil

Note: This message is in reference to the following: Topic: Photo Tours of Interest (with Picture attachments) Subject: " House at Junction of Main Road - with bad sha qi " Dear Anon, Thanks for your observations: 1. You are correct to say that electric lamp can be used to light up the `corner' for this effect. 2. In my opinion, although one can place electric lamps but one cannot place many or it is not practical to place many lamps on the wall without making it look more light Christmas lightning. The earthen lamps are `symbolic' to "trap" the sha qi as many are used rather than spacing out the electric lamps. In `symbolism' the earthen lamps represent light even if th…

Dear Yan Zhen Goh, yan zhen goh wrote: May I find out the key differences between these two? At first I didn't catch those words when I was reading the compatibility reports which were generated in this website... How serious is this? What is the significance when two people's heavenly stems clash/ harm? Thanks! Under the ba zi, there are 4 degrees of incompatibility (Clash/Harm/Punishment/Self-Punishment). Of which two more problematic clash are the :- 1. Clash (being the worst), normally means a completely different nature of horoscope sign that is not compatible (quite similiar to if you think about water and fire). 2. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, this concept is somewhat "outdated" or may be very difficult to apply i.e. to a lay person. In particular the dragon and tiger concepts. 2. For the back (tortise/ or you mentioned turtle ) i.e. solid backing and clear space (phoenix) is still relatively easy to understand and apply for most of us. 3. This is because especially for those who live in urban areas, roads, waterways or even buildings can represent the dragon and tiger. 4. What I find that is more important than Para 3 at this moment is this question: Does the site able to collect wealth? If a site can collect wealth, then this is the opportunity i.e. Quantum Leap in Feng Shui. In a…

First, I want to know how is the 4Good and 4Bad direction is computed in the free analysis from this site? Because when we had our house initially fengshuid by my inlaws. the fengshui master said that southwest location of the house is good for our master bedroom. and now, based from the free analysis, the southwest sector is our Disaster and Spook area! and our head is also pointing to the same direction while sleeping!!! I dont think we can rearrange the bed? So what do we do now? Is it true that East and West are generally neutral to everyone (according to several fengshui masters)?? Because West is our Death and Irritation direction so does that mean we can ingnore…

Dear May-Ying, 1. If one is using the Kua method or the East/West Group. 2. It is preferred to look at the suitablility of the house with regards to:- 3. The breadwinner. Majority of the time, it is the husband. (Nowadays, it can be the wife. Especially if the husband is a homemaker or if he earns significantly much lower salary). For example, it is good to select a house with the main entrance that suits the breadwinner. 4. Next, try to see if each of the bedroom can `fit' each family member. This so especially for the children. For the husband and wife, it is preferred that combinations e.g. prosperity (husband) / wife (irritation) Or any other combinations with good se…

For breadwinner (yourself), ensure that the house facing is suitable to you so that you enjoy luck from the house facing. For the rest of the family member, you should make sure the rooms are suitable for them to stay in. As they will be getting the luck more from the bedroom. For husband and wife that have opposite Gua (Kua), the breadwinner takes a house facing that is favoura…

Dear Dominique, 1. Frankly, there is no issue in working out two charts and looking at both. 2. However, try not to use the type of logic that you had mentioned below. 3. But instead, try to make sense of this:- 4. Many years ago, many houses were built under Period 6. But because, in 1984, Period 7 came into being. 5. Often, as an investigative Feng Shui; one can plot the chart for Period 6 and Period 7. In many cases, quite alot had experienced Period 6 (staying in that house for several years). 6. What these people do is to see if later on Period 6 or Period 7 houses closely resemble their current situation. 7. Going forward, what you can do is to do two charts and see…

Dear Anon, If your bedroom is in the East and that your house has been either built within 1984 to-date or any major renovation of an existing home within this period, most likely, the house will be affected by this " Five Yellow " star. The cure usually depends on the Flying Star Feng Shui analysis and the direction of your main entrance door direction. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, there are a total of 24 directions. And a house main door depending on its direction can be situated at anyone of the 24 directions. Most of the Period 7 house have a compounding problem where the 20 year flying star may have " Bad Five Yellow " and coincidentally, another Bad Five Yello…

You wrote: 2. Can I use bunk beds? I read that it's not a good ideea. He should be above his one year old brother. 1. This link provides some commonsense idea with regards to the concern of the bunk beds:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commonsense_Approach#Can_I_install_a_bunk_bed_for_my_children.27s_bedroom.3F 2. Usually, it is best not to let the "legs" face the bedroom door as to the Chinese; this is known as the "coffin position". But, other safety aside; some place a "screen" or organizer pouch at the baby-bed panel; thus acting like a screen between the child's legs and the bedrooom door.

Hello. I hope someone will have the patient to read and help me as I'm kind of desperate. My flat has the front door opening South-West (241 degrees) and facing North-East. Rectangle shape (missing small part on South corner, near the door entrance). The rectangle flat diagonal (end near the entrance, on the missing part) is closest to the N-S direction. All of my family members are from West group except my oldest son (5.5 years) who is an East one. And we do have some troubles with him since we moved in here, 2 years ago. He's not speaking correctly for his age anymore, not paying attention, agitated, frustrated, always against everyone and everything and so on. I must …

1. Possible for a Block of flats. Here, especially the frontage of all units face a specific direction. 2. For a landed property, it depends: 2.1. If the neighbours are in-close proximity; say each is a small plot of land, your "south" frontage may be facing another plot's side-view. Here, if one is "unlucky", one may even get to face the toilets of the neighbour or even their backyard (some) with messy storage and hanging laundry. In addition, one will be in big-trouble, if the neigbhour's home roof is triangular shaped and have several of these "attacking" your "south" facing home. 2.2.Try to plot the Flying Star and take the opportunity to "activate" say the double …

Dear Koslan, Please see below:- Yes, one should apply cures for any imbalances at the specific sectors. If one is applying the Eight House Theory, then apply it towards (especially) your bedroom i.e. is the bed at an auspicious sector? Or if it is a couple, one party could use another as a shield. For example, if the husband's sector is `death' while the wife is `irritation'; it would be better for the wife to sleep closer to this intangible force and the husband further away. In order to activate the mountain stars:- 1. It must not be activated i.e. at the front door or frontage of the house. For example, if a mountain star is found at the front door, do not ac…

Dear CECIL, I had posted a similar question earlier. My confusion is that houses sitiing in the East directions are called EAST houses. Then according to this the house should face West(sitting in East),or North(sitting in South) or South(sitting in North) orNW(sitting in SE).Now out of these NW and W are not considered to be good directions for the East group people, especially if they happen to be Death and Disaster directions for an individual. Please comment. Thanking you very much.

These are some considerations: 1. Please note that what I had written does NOT take into consideration: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triage 2. No two home are the same. And common sense says that : "It depends!" 3. Frankly, there no such thing as an utopian home. Thus most homes must also look at:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks 4. To better understand and make your own opinion on "the direction of the MAIN DOOR"; I suggest you go read the following information:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15673&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15672&ne…

1. Mathematically, there are 50 percent who are East group and 50 percent who are West group (full stop). 2. If one already had purchased or stayed in an existing house or apartment, is it possible to get the earthquake to move your home so that it aligns to your good directions? Yes/No? 3. This "obession" with whether your home is East or West is "history" if one intends to stay in that specific home. Unless, you are saying that you intend to move-out. 4. One has to be realistic. And if trying to apply Feng Shui, make sure that there are no further "loss of wealth leaks" etc.. By applying proper Feng Shui. 5. If you close your eyes, the direction facing would'nt go…

Frankly, take a simple flow chart: 1. Either one goes to a geomancer. In this case, you should follow-up with your geomancer and ask him to find the leaks for you. or 2. DIY. For DIY, I have provided you some of the good practises. However, I can understand, many of us; simply are too impatient, here as there are lots and lots of things to take note. And the fact that if one don't even know how to find the leaks; Please refer to Para 1. 3. In the earlier, link; the fact is thateven allgeomancers needs to go thru the "Triage" to find out what are the leaks. A link which I posted earlier mentions this.

Dear Theo, 1. Frankly, the analysis that you mentioned is but only one of the many considerations before chosing a house. 2. Prior to what you had mentioned, there are other considerations to look at. Some are fundamental. 3. What you had described about is only micro Feng Shui. Or Feng Shui without first considering the environment. 4. I usually, consider this phase " Location, Location and Location " (the THREE Ls) as the most important factor. 5. When I mentioned the THREE Ls, we should more importantly look at the external environment: focusing on the site the house is located at and then afterwards look at the house (interior of the home). 6. The above are I believe …

Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Robert Lee wrote: To analyse the kua number without converting to the chinese calendar would be wrong. This means that say if you are born on 1 Jan 1966, your lunar is actually 10 day 12 month 1965. So your kua number must be based on 1965 and not 1966. Thanks for your kind advice. Regarding the Kua number, it seems similar to the Western numerology. E.g. 1966 = 1+9+6+6. Shouldn't we be calculating based on some Chinese year figure? Didn't I say that you must use the Lunar year in my above quote? This means you should be using 1965(the lunarbirth year)if based on my example and not the western year 1966 (rather than the western birth year…

Dear Manoj, I would strongly recommend a Three-step approach in understanding not just e.g. the Eight House Theory; the Flying Star Theory but any other concepts or theories. As an example of the Three-step approach we first find out what the Flying Star Theory is: 1. The purpose of the Flying Star chart is plot out the `Birth Chart' of a house. Here, we must know when the house was `born'. 1.1 We should also find out it's strength and weakness. 1.2 For example, one of it's strength is that not only it can plot out the birth chart of a house, it can help to diagnose and neutralise the house or problems associated with the house. As the common denominator is based on the …

Dear Cecil, I just moved this past weekend, and in the 72 hours flanking this move, I have had unbelievable bad luck. This might sound crazy, but I broke a mirror while trying to detach it from the wall of my old apartment. Two days later, all hell broke loose. I got into a car accident while driving down to my new apartment to pick up my new keys. The other driver was at fault, but he took off and left me with a huge dent in my civic's northwest corner--a classic hit and run which unfortunately, didn't give me enough time to get his license plate number. Then, 1 hour late, I drove to the U-haul place and suffered the condescending attitude of the male Korean owner who wa…

Further to what I had mentioned; these are further considerations: 1. As much of the forum message(s) goes back as far as 1999; this was where we hosted our forum on our own servers; previously; in 1996 to 1998 - used a free forum. 2. Do take note that for example; some of the information on Eastpoint Green was based on the critical period where there was a change of Flying Star (qi). 3. Here, Flying Star qi changes every 20 years: 3.1. From 1984 to 2003 (Period 7) and 3.2. From 2004 to 2023 (Period 8) 4. Thus, some of the concerns may or may not be the same. For example, I could remember clearly; on top of my busy schedules; 4.1 I had calls or urgent cases. And "s…
