In general, a kitchen contain lots of appliances. And if you are worried about the #5 falling into the kitchen, then one consolation is that hopefully one does have a refrigerator that matches this profile:- 1.1. A fridge especially if it is white or off-white or stainless steel is considered as a metal element. 1.2 Thus if one's frige is described above, and not yellow, then it is considered as a sizeable metal "chunk". And under the Five elements, metal is good to neutralise #5.

Dear Alex, In my opinion, for a 1 room flat/apartment; usually, it would depend greatly on the `larger' building and site. In my opinion, since this is a 1 room flat, one may not get a `Quantum Leap' in Feng Shui by `applying' FS principles here. This is because many of the concepts of Compass School may not be easily applied as the area is pretty small. Here, one important point which I feel is that if one cannot achieve a `Quantum Leap' in Feng Shui, the `returns' in using FS may not be that effective i.e. it is like spending $1.00 to get back only $0.80 cents or less or even if we can get back a small profit of `$1.01 cents is this good enough. For, small apartments, i…

Dear Wong Wong, wong wong wrote: how to analyse the 10 luck pillar? year luck pillar? Frankly, this requires you to understand how to read a ba zi chart. There are so many things you need to understand before you can interpret the chart. So it is going to be hard to explain how read it. Basic fundamentals (in a nutshell), if the element of that pillars is suitable to you, that means that generally it may be a good year. Then you have to consider whether like there are any clashes/harms or any special stars etc. If you are do not know how to read a chart, then you better see professional consultation services to let the professionals do it for you. Hope that helps. …

Dear Sophia, There are generally three meanings associated with birds:- 1. Longevity Paintings usually with white birds signify longevity. And thus one of the connotation can mean that "100 birds signify living to" guess what age? 100 years! Imagine! even by today's standard, living to a ripe age of81 or 91 years canalready be difficult for majority of us. Not say until 100! Thus, I strongly believe, a painting with 100 birds (usually whitecoloured bird such as cranessimply signify this. 2. The Phoenix 2.1 In many traditional wedding cards; one can find a motif on the invitation card with a Phoenix and dragon motif. The phoenix represents (female - bird or yin), wh…

Further to what I had mentioned, I will be more concerned if it is 100 bats "flying" away as unlike birds (which is not highly regarded unless it is the stork - long life), the bats are reverered - and highly regarded. As the phonetic sound of bats is that of good fortune and often denotes happiness! And often 5 bats symbolises "five blessings" in life!

Dear Joanne, For a trailer, the most important area is the siting or site of the trailer. In my opinion, this has the most impact on your Feng Shui. Other than that, since it is considered small space, not much one can change the structure of the trailer. Depending on the nature of use of the trailer, if it is more for rest, after work, then, priority should be given to its location close to work, convenience store and its surroundings. Hopefully, the surroundings is not `dry' or unprotected e.g. barren land and no trees. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Frankly, it is difficult to follow all the descriptions you wrote, below. Quote: Does the building year change where one should place the rooms? 2. I am not sure what you mean by the above. If you are saying that you are relocating or changing place of sleep for family members, than a room is a room is a room. And it does not change the building year. Quote: Helena W. wrote: The house me and my husband purchased has a winding road hills and gentle sloped land however all the rooms are in the wrong spot.Main entrance directly north when you walk inside you end up in the kitchen...there is another entrance almost directly east however the paved road does not natural…

Dear Max, 1. Yes, in a general `reading' taking into consideration one's YEAR of birth i.e. for those born between 18 Feb 1958 to 7 Feb 1959, the YEAR element is an Earth Dog. 2. Pillars of Destiny based on YEAR, MONTH, DAY and TIME of birth. In the " Four Pillars" analysis, not only is the YEAR element i.e. EARTH-DOG is looked into but also the MONTH, DAY and TIME of birth. Under Pillars of Destiny, the main important element is the MONTH of birth and the other variables i.e. YEAR, DAY and TIME are looked at in total. Thus one can be a " EARTH - DOG " based on the YEAR of birth but, this is too general and has to be looked into in greater detail based on Pillars of Dest…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I plan to get a first level (ground level) condo with PES and is facing a pool. Could you advise me anything that i need to take note while selecting the unit. Frankly, each unit is unique on it's own so it hard to tell you what you should be looking out for.All I can is to look out for any general sha qithat might cut into your home and other shapes and form issues such as toilet center of house, missing corners etc. Pool facing units though good, but take note that it can also be noisy and sometimes may lack some privacy. Otherwise, frankly, quite difficult to advise unless you actually review the unit in detail. Hope that helps. Warmes…

Based on some customs: If the day is only a mixed blessings or inauspicious (not Very inauspicious) and for practical reasons, the 2nd person may enter the home (later) usually a few hours later (if they really need to be present) in the home.

1. Yes, since you are not a Cantonese a simple knockin say at the east or west wall will do. 2. Other points you had mentioned sounds reasonable or OK.

Dear Master Cecil, I was reading an older post in this forum about how far from the bed a poison arrow had to be (when the wardrobe is made of hardwood) and I was curious to know more about the distance of 2 1/2 feet. Does it mean that if the poison arrow created by a wardrobe, for instance, is more than 2 1/2 feet distance from a bed, considering an imaginary line at 45 degress angle, it can be less felt and the sharp chi gets somewhat diluted? I am attaching a picture of the bedroom future set-up and I wanted to ask your opinion. Do you think it is worth considering buying a wardrobe that has round corners or this layout would not present a ser…

1. Frankly, applying Numerology is a catch-22 situation. 2. There are so many various methods of Numerology and also some combined it with "phonetic" sound like... "4" Cantonese regard as death etc... 3. There are Chinese methods, Indian methods, and many other cultures also have their methods. 4. Thus, would you want to hear "50-50" of the time, some one telling you this number is BAD! Then later, hear from another it is good! 5. Under the holy trinity of (Chinese) luck:- 5.1 Heaven luck - what one is considered to be born with 5.2 Earth luck - the influence from staying in a home or working in an office. 5.3 Human luck - relationships, family bonding. Thus, the Ch…

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, the 2nd floor may affect the Feng Shui (below - ground floor) especially if the "two units" are not "identical in layout". For example, if a home is converted into a "duplex" or the layout of the above unit is not identical to the ground floor. 2. For example, we often find homes like a bungalow where things like the 2nd storey toilet may be just above our ground unit main entrance or sometimes it could be just above one's dining area. And for some Chinese who had placed an altar at the ground level; may also be affected if their altar is just directly below a toilet. 3. Otherwise, often, if both ground unit, 2nd stor…

Master Cecil, I belive in FengShui and i did make some changes to my house according to FengShui and it worked. Now i am planning to get 'Fu Dogs' for my house, but the problem is i am not able to find male and female. All i can get from local store is either both males(Fu Dogs) or general entrance Lions (not Fu Dogs). I went over couple of sites where i can find Fu Dogs for reasonable prices, because i cannot afford more than $300. My Question, is that okay if i have two male ( Fu Dogs) ? Could you please expalin me the significance of two Lions (not Fu Dogs) / two male Fu Dogs? Please suggest me which one should i go for. Thanks, a lot i appreciate for all the help th…

Hi Anon, 1. If you are referring to two person say having the same element (ie weak water), then the answer is yes it is absolutely possible. In fact it is pretty common. Birth element can only have 10 different possibilities from weak/strong combination of 5 different elements. So very common. However, though both might have the same birth element, the ba zi luck will be different for the two person unless, the two person is about 60 years apart where there might be a possibility that the same birth chart might occur but very rare. 2. It is very common that two person will have opposite Eight House Chart. ie West is Excellent for one but Spook for the other. The way…

1. I don't want to add to the confusion, but, if you are born on June 5th 1988 (no difference between male or female); You are considered as a : Strong Metal person. And in the attached layout plan, (Male) ; this person is strongest in Earth 48 percent; Extremely weak metal only 4 percent and weak wood 12 percent. (This can be found under the topic " Your Five Element Breakdown). Note: above refers to Male: born on June 5th 1988. Quote: Mon D. wrote: Good day, Sirs. I have a 2 questions: 1.
