Dear Co Huynh, 1. If you are a weak metal person, the element that can give you a significant boost is earth. 2. Water element does not benefit you under Ba Zi. 3. Please note that water position in the wrong location of a house can affect one's marriage and even wealth. 4. Usually, it is best not to use water in the back of the house as most of the time it is inauspicious. 5. The most effective use of water is still at the frontage of the house or using Flying Star Feng Shui to detect metal positions:- 5.1 The most beneficial way to activate water dragon is to locate #7 (weak metal) and #6 (strong metal). Under the Five elements concept, metal supports water. This is a …

These are some considerations:- 1. Just imagine humans are not exactly homogeneous! 2. In the past, I mentioned: some of us can sleep like a pig; with mirrors all over our bedroom; but some feel very uncomfortable! 3. One of my main examples was: that in some Feng Shui books; it states that when we sleep; it is said that our spirit wakes up and if there is a mirror; it see's itself in the mirror and goes into shock! 4. I had also mentioned; what happened if the spirit is more extrovert? It likes to see itself in the mirror; to check if the hair is not in a mess. If so, the spirit would want to comb hair before flying off to meet one's friend. 5. Again it is like some of u…

Having a small sectional sofa in your small home can offer you a lot of seating in relation to the space. They can turn any room into a warm, conversational and intimate area where you can just relax or entertain friends. It is very important that you find the right size sectional sofa for your small space; a very large sectional sofa can overwhelm the small room. When decorating and choosing furnishings for one of these smaller areas, one must be aware of proportion. A large sofa or sectional sofa will overwhelm the room's view as well as its useable space. A small sectional sofa can be made to perfectly fit and utilize the space. One of the greatest benefits of sectiona…

Dear Anon, Where best, the main door should not be next to the rubbish chute. It is simliar to the result of having a toilet next to the main entrance door. For an elevator, it depends on the quality of the reinforcement between the lifts and the house. The thicker it is the better. Currently lifts are of the metal element and some Feng Shui practioners belief that lifts/elevators are moving metal. I personally belief, if the elevators are properly isolated, by concete and reasonably thick, this should not at the moment pose a problem. However, there is no harm if one uses the Flying Star Analysis to check on whether there could be an imbalance caused at this location by …

Dear Anon, Some Feng Shui practitioners do not recommend placing a dragon image next to the main door for the following reasons: 1. It depends on the number of claws on the dragon. The most Yang is the `Emperor' Dragon which has five claws. 2. In the recent Sterling Condominum project, I have shown that there is a space between the units at the middle of the condo, before the pool where the dragon is able to move from the top or summit of the project down thru the hole. 3. It is not a good idea to `trap' the dragon in the home by letting it face inwards such as a wall. This is why for cures, it faces an outlet such as the main door or a window. I have also shown an examp…

Dear Yan Zhen Goh, yan zhen goh wrote: May I find out the key differences between these two? At first I didn't catch those words when I was reading the compatibility reports which were generated in this website... How serious is this? What is the significance when two people's heavenly stems clash/ harm? Thanks! Under the ba zi, there are 4 degrees of incompatibility (Clash/Harm/Punishment/Self-Punishment). Of which two more problematic clash are the :- 1. Clash (being the worst), normally means a completely different nature of horoscope sign that is not compatible (quite similiar to if you think about water and fire). 2. Harm (is next), normally this means some minor …

Dear Simon, Simon Lau wrote: Comparing it with my house which my main door is facing NE, master bedroom W, child bedroom SW and kitchen NW, it seems like my house is in a very bad position. In general, the only way to correct a suitable house or suitable room is either to move a more suitable house or choose a better bedroom. Otherwise, there is very little you can do in terms to correcting a suitability issues. Firstly, you should confirm your facing of the house, as the main door falling under the NE sector may not necessary be the actual facing of your home. So determine whether your house falls under:- 1. Apartment (2nd - 7th level), facing of the house is determin…

You wrote: 2. Can I use bunk beds? I read that it's not a good ideea. He should be above his one year old brother. 1. This link provides some commonsense idea with regards to the concern of the bunk beds:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commonsense_Approach#Can_I_install_a_bunk_bed_for_my_children.27s_bedroom.3F 2. Usually, it is best not to let the "legs" face the bedroom door as to the Chinese; this is known as the "coffin position". But, other safety aside; some place a "screen" or organizer pouch at the baby-bed panel; thus acting like a screen between the child's legs and the bedrooom door.

In addition to what you have mentioned, another major key issue is to look out for water coming in or flowing outwards of the property. EXAMPLE 1:- ========== For example, please take a look at this attachment illustration: water-entry-exitpoint-A.gif In this illustration, assuming the property is facing "SOUTH" compass direction and in addition, there is a drain with water flowing directly towards south into the property:- Please take alook at the first heaven trigram (top most trigram). Here, South represents the"Heaven trigram". And assuming that when we investigate this property, water flows out of the land at NW . Which is also the "Heaven trigram" - Of the…

Dear Dylan, 1. As the cooking stove is considered an important part of the house i.e. providing fire and food, some Shapes and Form School believe that it is important not to have a beam above it. This is similar to having a beam above a person sitting e.g. at a seat. 2. Where possible, try to avoid it. Else, there is nothing much one can do here unless the ceiling is even (false ceiling). 2.1 But, a false ceiling is not recommended in a kitchen as it may catch fire. 2.2 If the ceiling beam is made of concrete, it is equally not practical to use two flutes as they are made of wood and may also catch fire. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some of the considerations:- GENERAL INFORMATION 1. In a micro-level; according to our Chinese customs; the most important consideration is that the common bed that you are currently sleeping on should never be moved even one month after giving birth. 2. Thus in some circumstances where one really has to say move house then, the pregnant wife should literally disappear and not involved in or look at the process of the shift. In many instances, a new bed should be purchased at the new home. Anyway, this para does not apply to your case. But do take note the same. INVOLVING A GEOMANCER 3. Usually, if geomancy (Feng Shui considerations) is involved and if you …

Dear Vicky, Gua or Kua is based on Ba Chai or Eight House or 4 good / 4 bad directions. Thus although it has an element, it is better to associate your Gua with directions - primarily. vicky conjamalay wrote: hello sir, my kua element is fire and my feng shui element is earth. Could you tell me how these two elements make their effect on me. Waiting for reply. Thanks. I am not sure what you mean by Feng Shui element? Earth? Do you actually mean your Ba Zi element e.g. Strong or weak earth? If you truly mean Ba Zi, then, it is much easier to associate it with the Five elements concept. Thus as mentioned above: Either a person is a Strong Earth or a weak earth pers…

Hi, Most of the readings taken from the Chinese Astrology uses only the person's Year of birth (element) only. If you have not visited my Chinese Astrology site, feel free to do so at http://www.lovesigns.net In general, one should not display ferocious animals e.g. tigers with hungry mouths open etc... in the house. Even for everyone. Generally, under the Chinese Astrology sign, the Tiger and Horse can be an excellent match. For the Dog and Tiger.. perhaps, drop-in at http://lovesigns.net Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. A more accurate assessment is to use the Pillars of Destiny that analyses: the Year, Month, Day and if available the time of birth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

What then is the best option if: My best position is head pointing north. This means my bed must be placed at 45 degrees to the wall.If I align it against either wall that forms the corner,my head will be pointing in my worst directions,ie,NE or NW.Other bed positions are not suitable because it faces a mirror or the door. If I sleep alone in a queen size bed, should I sleep diagonally with my head pointing north?Which is more important - the position of the bed in thedesired corner of the bedroom or the head pointing direction?

Dear Anon, In my opinion, graphic illustrations are `flat objects'. On a Personal Computer, it lies `flat' on a person's screen. Contrast this with a physical object e.g. such as the corner of a table. The corner of a table is considered a poision arrow. Therefore, unless it is a three dimension object that points directly towards a person, I sincerely believe that the graphic illustrations do not have an impact on a person. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Anon, 1:3 is equal to 33.33%. This is a reasonable Feng Shui figure. (please see below) The above is a good guideline. It is used widely in the forum and it should be a good guage when applied to doors and windows. Other "applications" include the advice given if the missing area is 33.3 percent or more, this is considered a missing corner. More examples can be found in messages under this forum. I usually term it the 33.3 percent Ruleset. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sophia, Please see below:- It is the belief that if one displays decorative objects (note: call them whatever one wants "wealth vase ...." etc... But really, these are only objects made by ordinary man! One of the beliefs is that if one keeps such objects, it is best always to cover the top and not let the vase be "empty". Some would place another smaller covered container to cover this "mouth" of the vase, while others could simply cover it fully with a cut-out cardboard, styrofoam etc.... In Singapore, we read of magic "stones" that can cure cancer etc... This is where such people prey older folks -- into parting with their savings! Therefore, all of us s…

Dear Anon, One of the `principles' in relation to neutralising `objects' is to remember that it has to be `activated'. For example, even a simple table fork has been effectively used by some FS Masters to counteract / neutralise a sha qi. Here, one should remember to point it to the `sha location'. It is usually not advisable to use a sword as one has a problem deciding how to place it. Furthermore, it should not be hang within a home. Under `Symbolism', a knife or pointed object creates sha qi and this would inadvertenly affect the household, a bedroom a living room etc... Instead, one should use other non offensive methods. For example, I have mentioned that one princip…

Dear Lynn, Lin Yu wrote: I am wondering if I am a strong metal and don't have water element in my bazi, am I suitable for wood element jobs? Because last time, when I was teaching kids, I tend to get sick easily, is it due to the fact that wood drains water? And I am thinking of going into nursing, but I am a total yin person without any yang elements, do you think that I should do that? I don't want to meet anything from the other world -_-... As a Strong Metal, your favourable elements tends to be Water/Wood/Fire. However, individually depending on your five element percentage, the most favourable elements may vary from person to person. This means that if your water …

Planting of cactus tree in a compound is also based on common sense. Most homes plant cactus tree(s) at "exposed" corners or backyard to deter would be thieves to climb into the home.

Dear Anon, 7-9-2 Is not very good combination simply because the Strong Earth (2) is not being controlled very well by weak Metal (7) and instead the influence is enhanced by the weak Fire (9). Thus creating a strong Star 2 (Sickness) In addition 7-2 come together signifying Disaster. The solution is to control the Star 2. Which is by using metal. The best metal cure so far is to use 6 metal coins tied with a Red String. Hang in at the door in that sector. This should help to control the strong Earth (2). However, you should consider whether they are any other problems before you decide to activate this cure. This is usually the recommended solution, if that is the only p…
