1. Please note that the term you used should not be "FAKE" or "genuine." Instead, all Feng Shui products should be described as "MODERN Commercial Products." 2. Most Feng Shui products are modern creations and are not fakes. Only antiques can be classified as genuine or fake. 3. Many Feng Shui products have symbolic meanings. For example, both ancient and replica I-Ching coins—those round coins with square holes—can be used in Feng Shui. You should not call these coins fake unless someone sells you one and you later discover it is not what was promised. 4. Some traditional symbolic items often used by Feng Shui practitioners include: 4.1 Hulu or bottle…

1. This has been mentioned many (many) times under previous postings:- 1.1. Under Period 8 [P8], (in general) without considering Shapes and Forms and other external factors:- 1.2 P8 NE and SW generally have favourable wealth qi. Only need to balance the sickness stars for these two configurations. 1.3 Under P8, South and East also do enjoy favourable wealth qi. For the East, just because of where the afternoon sun affects which part of the home.

The main point of the text is that the popular understanding of a move-in primarily revolves around the concept of staying overnight, which can be interpreted both literally and symbolically.

Hi Cecil Happen to surf yr web and read it with interests. Bought EC Bishan Loft in Yr 2001 and recently TOP in mid Oct. I am a North West Man and my main door is facing North East which falls in the 4 good directions. Except that my master bedroom and two other bedrooms are getting the afternoon sun. My block is 33 and Unit is #11-07, according to your Number theory #11-07 does not seem to be very auspicious. Secondly, since my unit is #11-07, does that mean I have to move in period 7. Please advice. Thanks you.

1. Frankly, I would personally keep to SW. For three reasons:- a. #1 is the coming prosperity star as you had mentioned, thus SW is still a better overall choice. b. Current 20 year water wealth resides. c. SW happens to be the very auspicious indirect water wealth spirit location under Period 8. Thus a big water position, here is good.

Dear Anon, 1. I believe, you are still young so try abit harder:) 2. It is best to watch your weight. There is not much in Feng Shui that relates to weight. 3. However, a sensible diet would usually help: 3.1 The Chinese often use the chopsticks to pick food. So that they are forced to eat slowly. You can still do so with the fork and spoon. 3.2 I am not sure if it will help but one should take breakfast, eat a healthy lunch and dinner. Avoid supper food. Here, it is believed that we burn more calories in the day time (activity) and at lower activity time, eat less. I believe that breakfast is the most important`meal' that should not be skipped. 4. For a mountain star, i…

Dear Mina, 1. Chinese Astrology (Zi Wei Dou Shu), Eight House Theory, Flying Star Theory, Pillars of Destiny all these major theories uses Chinese Lunar calendar system for their calculation. 2. In authentic Chinese methodology such as Chinese Astrology, Eight House and Flying Star all reference to one's Chinese Lunar calendar. 3. Xia (Hsia) or Chinese Solar calendar is used mainly to define season. And in Pillars of Destiny, this is one portion of the calculation. For example, to define the season of birth i.e. when you were born what season it happen to be at that time. 4. As mentioned above, all other major calculations of Pillars of Destiny uses the Chinese Lunar cal…

Hi Anon, Yes, however, Gua is the proper Chinese (rather than Kua which is based on Cantonese Dialect, just like Qi = C'hi) So how can Gua 9 numbers be equal to represent 8 Trigrams? There is no way so that is why the Gua Number itself does not yet equal to the 8 Trigram. Especially not the Gua number 5. Thus, the number 5 is often converted to represent one of the other two Trigram depending on Male or Female. Since the Eight Trigram is used or part of the Compass School (ie quite related to the Flying Stars) except that the center sector is empty. Thus, We relate the Trigam exactly as how it would link to the Flying Star. Eight House and Flying Star are part of …

Thank you Cecil for sharing your thoughts on this matter. I am in total agreement with you. Far too many people believe feng shui is the magic bullet for all their "ills". When I tell them this, some can get quite annoyed ! And usually these are the people that have got themselves into a mess. Sadly in this day and age we all seem to want instant gratification. Cheers Glyn

Dear Wasis, Earlier, the opening of business on a second day is meant to be an overall (general) date for most business on the whole without considering the date for the owner. Sometimes, if boss distingtively, is concerned about his/her own business, and who "reign supreme" in the business, would like you have mentioned, find a ba zi date that is suitable to him/her (the owner). Often the time is either based on: 1. phonetic sounding timing This is a practical approach since, a business can open at a normal timing, to suit most employees. 2. Based on Ba Zi of the owner Here, sometimes, it is trickly to open business at a time not suited to the employees. Luckily for a p…

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Oh, my head is spinning! How easy for you and hard for me (with my western brain) to understand. Please bear with me....so - or + does not indicate weak or strong rather yin or yang, correct? If this is so, then how it is determined whether a person is weak or strong whatever? Would it be the over abundance or lack of a particular element in the total ba zi? - is actually for yin, while + is for yang. It has never been associated with weak or strong. Ba zi is a complex shool, that is why we have theonline analysis which determine for you whether you are weak or strong without worrying about the technicalities. All I can tell you is that …

Yes, definitely, as you have already noted, the significance of each #number is different under Period 8. Quote: However, in the past 5 years, I've been sickly. I wonder if this has to do with period 8 which started in 2004 and will end in 2024.

Sorry, I hope not to sound too harsh in my earlier e-mail. 1. Further to what I had mentioned, I really feel sad that many of are taken in by modern commercial products. And it feels sad that many of such products are circulating around - in the name of "Feng Shui". 2. They should actually be classified as "decorative" items. And not, described as some important - in the name of Feng Shui cure or something like that. 3. Human nature is such: How often do we hear many people saying that when they have problems, one way to side-track their problem is to over-eat. Some of these persons, feel that over eating can simply "wish" their problems away! 4. Thus it is a real p…

1. Frankly, it is best to apply Flying Star Feng Shui to look at the sector of your parents bedroom sector since you mentioned that your mum had a stroke. 2. If parents bedroom straddle between two compass directions then one has to evaluate and find out more whether any of the nasty sickness stars such as #5 = misfortune, sickness and #2 sickness. 3. The above are more important than a 2 dimension view of the bedroom or second guessing whether the bed is better to be placed next to the bedroom door or the other end. 4. You have to properly evaluate all these instead of prematurely, seeking advise. As it is like the blind leading the blind! And what can be worse! If s…

1. In real life situations; it is the interaction of the home Feng Shui with one's ba zi element. 2. Thus, most people would normally: "wear" the favourable colours in their HOME. For example, if one has a child, one would "wear" the favourable colours onto the child's bedroom. For example: the colour of the walls, curtains and bedsheets. Or when buying a car, many would also consider the choice of car colours suitable to their ba zi. 3. In many instances, many people don't often seriously wear certain colours - if it is not practical. The sterotyping is that women = red or pink and men = blue. And what happens if the male has a ba zi that favours red colour? Wear red a…

1. Flying Star Feng Shui and Ba zi has a Lowest Common Denominator (LCM) i.e. all it's components can be further analysed under the Five Elements concept. 2. As mentioned, in my previous msg, what I need to say has already being said about the Eight House concept. You can also read up this link:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach

1. Your analysis is OK. 2. Just take note that usually Orange colour should be classified as under metal = gold element. 3. As three major dialect groups of the Chinese consider "orange" as gold:- 3.1. The Cantonese Dialect group (largest population outside of China, Guandong province) in Hong Kong and is 2nd largest Chinese population in Singapore: calls orange "KUM" or gold. 3.2. The Hokkien Dialect group (in Singapore is the largest dialect group) outside of China calls it "KIM" or also gold. 3.3. The Teochews (the third largest dialect group in Singapore) also calls it "KIM" or gold. 4. For example, many young couples or youngsters who visit their elders always …
