This is a sterling example to understand, the critical qi flow, based on the Flying Star Theory. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, for bedroom two, the most likely influence comes more from the East sector, be it qi or wind coming into that room from the windows or thru the bedroom door. While the NE stars are locked up between the corner of the bedroom and part of the staircase area. The Eight House Theory has severe limitations i.e. you are either at a sector or under a different sector. It is not like you can get the earthquake to change the total directions of the home. Anyway, the stars you mentioned provided iti is for the East sector, are not that bad, as there are w…

Dear Anon, Grateful if you can describe in greater detail as I still not sure what u mean i.e. do you mean that as you enter the main door, there are two walls on each side like a larger main door within the house? Thanks. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear GA, Usually, the confusion arise because of two "concepts":- 1. Based on the `unrecognised' Black Hat Sect concept, according to this "method" which is not recognised by all Traditional Feng Shui Schools; the template used here is "fixed" i.e. the template is the same for every home. 2. If you mentioned about the Eight House template, you can visit this url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm for a step-by-step guide in the proper use of the Eight House template. 2. Briefly, get a layout plan. Mark out the true compass direction i.e. North-South direction as measured using say an ordinary compass. 3. Next, align the Eight House template, using the North-South as a…

1. Usually, both Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui is used to properly determine whether a location is suitable for the placement of a water feature. 2. Thus, it may or may not be left or right side of the door. 3. Compass School Feng Shui prominently uses Flying Star Feng Shui to detect water wealth location. While Shapes and Forms, has a bit of commonsense, as it would not be practical to have a water feature at the entrance if it blocks or hinders movement in and out of the home. 4. What you are asking is close to "trial and error" or something like - might as well as flip a coin = 5. Thus, Feng Shui is about making an analysis to determin…

Dear Ann J, More importantly, you have to determine what material the beam is made of. If the beam is made of wood, then based on the destructive cycle of the Five Elements concept: metal destroys or neutralises wood and seven represents = metal element (weak metal) and silver represents metal element. Thus, if the beam is made of wood, then SYMBOLICALLY, it is sound to have the 7 "silver stars". Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: ann j wrote: This wonderful siteoffers tremendous knowledge on fengshui. Please answer my query,The main door of my apartment has staircase opposite itat distance of 2ft-3ft. Dear Madan, Grateful if you can elaborate further on: 1. Please check what is the inauspicious intangible force at the bedroom. 2. Is the room close to two sectors e.g. such as North and NE or North and NW or is it only located at the North. 3. Please take note that under the Eight House Theory, one should be more concern if one spents most of the time at the location. Rather than if the location is an inauspicious sector. For example, if it is the disaster location and you are sleeping away from it and closer to a less inauspicious sector or an auspicious sector. This is ok. The Eight House works mostly on the priciple that it has to be `activated' by the individual or …

Dear Aaron, Aaron Neo wrote: Hi , Im quite new to this feng shui stuff . I was wondering if i can use water plants in small containers on rounded shelves on corners of my walls in my bedroom as my bedroom has a column and some wall are protruding thus theres many sharp edges pointing everything . I cant think of any other small land plants to use that wont die fast other than cactus which i think defeats the purpose . I am a Strong Fire so i hope that the water will neutralise it somewhat . Thanks for all help If the column is at least rounded, then it should not be a major problem compared to a sharp corner. Anything that can help break or block the corner will help. …

Dear Carina, 1. Currently, there is no `rule' to say that a mirror can only be placed in the dinning, living and toilets. But rather, we should understand the reasoning behind what was mentioned. 2. The reason for placing in a toilet is because most master bedrooms have an attached bathroom. Because of this, it is `advisable' to place the mirror above the wash basin rather than in the bedroom area. This is because some of us are more `sensitive' to mirrors facing the bed. It is still acceptable to place the mirror on the dressing table if it does not face the bed. 3. Some of us are not sensitive to mirrors even if they face the bed. So, here it does not apply to everyone.…

Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: I'm a weak metal person, would it be harmful for me to have an aquarium even though it is for fengshui purposes (i.e. water feature as recommended by Flying Stars chart)? My husband is weak wood, my daughters are strong metal and strong water respectively. Water in general is good for your weak husband. Given he is likely the breadwinner, it will be good for him. Generally, water will exhaust metal so will weaken your weak metal. While, mixed for your daughter as one like water one has too much. But in general, the breadwinner would probably be the most important. A water feature if outside of the house is ok, as it will be more a wat…

Dear Jojo, Grateful if you can elaborate further what you mean by wealth stars. This is because traditional Feng Shui do have the mountain and water stars. Mountain star can be activated to improve luck. I can recall many incidents where if the mountain star is activated correctly, can increase the luck element. This site does not discuss on `fixed templates' such as Black Tantric Buddhist or Black Hat Sect or BTB for short. This form of Feng Shui is not recognised by all Traditional FS practioners. The Eight Associations and Eight Aspirations/Life Associations e.g. SW = Romance corner, and North = Career sector; although is an interpetation of each of the 8 Guas or Trig…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, your cornice do not pose poison arrow as it is usually made of gpysum board. The height from the ceiling to the ground is quite a distance away. They are multiple (3) and long as opposed to a pointed edge. I personally feel that there is no issue in the type of cornice mentioned. Although the preference is for a simpler design. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Emily, You can try to activate metal at this sector. Since this is the living room area, the most effective cure is to activate with a 6-hollow rod metal wind chime. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Emily Ho wrote: Dear Master Lee My living room has stars M3 W2 B8. I think #3 and #2 are giving me much trouble as there are quarrels going on. Dear Johnny, 1. A Ba Gua mirror is commonly used under two situations:- 1.1 With the hope that hanging it would ward off evil spirits. 1.2 Another common use is to place it facing a Sha Qi or poison arrow e.g. a main door facing e.g. a T junction. 2. If it is primarily used for the purpose of WARDING OF EVIL spirits, many FS practitioners would recommend: especially FS practitioners who have religious inclination would have the Ba Gua mirror blessed. 3. Some also place a charm (yellow paper charm) above the main door. Here, the practitioner would always recommend that the charm and the Ba Gua mirror be blessed. 4. Overseas especially, in the West, the Ba Gua mirror is mor…

Sad to hear that my WS8 is useless,no wealth luck for the next 20 years. Can I activate'5m-1b-9w'by water at NE which is in the living room? Some said NE should not see water.

You wrote: "May I please have your opinion about this house floor plan? Is it good place to live? If changes can be made, what would you change? Thank you very much in advance." My comments are as follows:- 1.1 You asked "Is it good place to live?" 1.2 Frankly, just attach a layout plan and without even considering the external shapes and forms: External enviornment; Site and building; together; how can one give such an opinion? 1.3. Any opinion can only be given on based on GENERAL information of roughly the layout plan - that's all. 1.4. For example, the Compass School of Feng Shui also needs to be taken into consideration. 1.5. It starts from even as "lo…

Dear Trini, Do try to check the influences especially at the bedroom. Where possible this is an auspicious location. There is not much that can be analysed using the Eight House Theory other than if the death or disaster line falls at the main entrance, keep the location `bright' and avoid leaving the door open unless you are using it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The common "cure" is to place a red circular "dot" (e.g. using a permanent marker, or a circular red sticker the size of a hole-pucher hole or the use ofa "girls" reddish nail varnish. Just simply place the "dot" on the key hole area or just above the keyhole of the doorknob. Place the same "dot" exactly on the same area of the other door. Here, symbolically, the RED dot is like an "eye". And it goes " we look eye to eye with each other Anonymous wrote: the 2 bedroom doors of my apartment are facing each other what can i do with this?

Prominent Flower of romance can be said to "originate" froma home:- 1. Please take note ofsome of the characteristics of homes that may be affected by such activity:- 1.1. North-west sector of the home: Usually this type of home may have a missing corner at NW or NW is located at the kitchen area. And the rest usually has more to do with the male having an illicit affair. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the tell tale signs are usually the presence of #3 star at this sector. 1.2 South-West sector Again, it can be a missing corner or the arrival of #3 at that sector. 2. Having two or more stoves Having one stove at say the dry and another at the wet kitchen. And have a…

If your home is a P8 SE3, South sector has bad stars MS#5 with WS#3 and Base#3. Yes Yin water may be used to control MS#5. For the water you may place some crystals but not wood chips or plants in it. As this may inflame #3.

Dear Anon, 1. This is a subjective question. I believe if you `throw' this question into the newsgroup, you will get all sorts of response. 2. Overall, the original aim of Feng Shui is to enhance beneificial Qi and neutralise Sha Qi. 3. Many Western Feng Shui practioners (especially those that are not Traditional Feng Shui) will love your question. These practioners will always emphasise on "space clearing" or clearing of clutter. 4. In my opinion, many who are not exposed to so many Traditional Feng Shui and related subjects naturally would place space clearing on their top most agenda. 5. Aside from Feng Shui `aspects', I believe there were others in the field of Manage…
