Dear Master Lee, whenwe are looking for a new house, apart fromchoosing a house with the appropriate shapes and forms, should wethen go for the favourable house-facingdirection according to : 1) Eight Mansions Feng Shui - in this case, myself, my husband and my daughter all belong to the "West" group, so should we go look for a West-facing (or South-west or North-west facing) house? 2) Bazi Elements - in this case, my favourable element is Earth which is NE or SW direction, but my husband and daughter both have favourable element in Water, which is N direction. Water is my unfavourable element, so if we go by Bazi when choosing a house-facing direction, wouldn't we clash…

In addition to what you have mentioned, another major key issue is to look out for water coming in or flowing outwards of the property. EXAMPLE 1:- ========== For example, please take a look at this attachment illustration: water-entry-exitpoint-A.gif In this illustration, assuming the property is facing "SOUTH" compass direction and in addition, there is a drain with water flowing directly towards south into the property:- Please take alook at the first heaven trigram (top most trigram). Here, South represents the"Heaven trigram". And assuming that when we investigate this property, water flows out of the land at NW . Which is also the "Heaven trigram" - Of the…

Dear Cecil/Robert: While checking out the flying star for SW1/P8 home, I saw the above description "diagonal star robbery formation" whichexplained "the occupants will enjoy good health, wealth and prosperity for such a house". The aboveexplanationis very confusing to me. SW1/P8 has ms5, ws8, bs5, ys1. The 'diagonal star', I assume, are ms5 and bs5 (isn't the combination of two stars 5s the worst?). Plus the word 'robbery' doesn't sound good to me. The eigh-one combination for ms5 and ws8 is inauspicious. With all this analysis, I don't understand why it said "theoccupants will enjoy good health, wealth and prosperity..." Would you be kindly explain it further? Thank …

Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Now I understand the percentages, but what I don't understand is why is 7 Fire, for example, considered "Extremely Weak" when it obviously has the highest percentage (56%) compared to all other elements in my chart. The Extremely weak is based on the seasonal influence based on your month of birth that will influence all the elements present in your chart. This extremely weak is the strength of the Fire element given your season of birth. As to whether you are weak or strong will eventually be based on how many of each elements you have after the seasonal influence, the number of each element you have is computated. The 56% is computate…

Dear Sophia, It all depends on the interior layout plan. Actually, for those living in a landed property, often, the frontage of the home would be the living room area and "behind" it is the diningarea. Thus for landed properties, more often, the diningarea is higher than the living room. And not the other way as mentioned, below. This is quite common because, most of the time, "clear-space" should be at the"frontage" and the back of the home should be higher. Thus, generally, without taking intoother considerations, for landed properties, there may be a concern if theliving room is higher than the dining area. This would suggest that there is a "mountain" at the fronta…

If a house does not fit you, then always best to look for another more suitable house. There is no way to correct this. You can attempt to improve other feng shui flaw to offset this. However, if a house does not fit you, it means you cannot get the maximum amount of luck…

What if the home's main door faces any of the other locations (ie, West, Northeast, etc)? How do you determine the bad and good locations in this regard? The facing of the house you should determine by our facing direction rule set:- 1. Landed Property - ie facing of the house itself. Depends on the orientation of the house itself. 2. Apartment (2nd level - 7th level) - ie main door of the house as your facing direction of the house 3. Apartment (8th level and up) - ie living room or balcony as your facing directiondirection. External Shapes and Form influence will always have more impact to an home compared to flying star or eight house influence. A house with good external shapes and form feng shui is a house is the key to enjoying a quantum leap in feng shui. That is why we keep stressing that a good house begins from the external environment. A house with good flying star feng shui only deals with luck within the four walls of your home. Sorry if I made a lot of mistakes on my flying stars, but this is now the correct one. Please advice. In curing and enhancing my stars, what should I follow, period 7 flying star chart or Flying star chart of 2005. In my period 7 chart, there is mountain star 9, water star 7 and base star # 8 in the northwest sector which is also my death sector . This sector is my kitchen where I do a lot of cooking and washing of the dishes. What can I do with this sector so that Chue Meng will not harm me so much. Flying star 5 this year is in the NW sector, so I have cured it with metals like windchimes and 6 emperor coins. I also placed a dragon headed tortoise to negate Chue Meng…

Dear Anon, This also has to depend on the regulations of individual countries. For example, in Singapore, today, all apartment especially those next to or in-close proximity to either the lifts or emergency staircase must use at least a half-hour fire rated main entrance door. Thus doors with such glass designs are out -- as it is against government building regulations. For other countries e.g. Malaysia, you may have to confirm whether it can be used. Locally in Singapore, most people -- even those living in the landed property avoid having partial glass doors because more of "custom" i.e. not quite used to the IDEA (in our minds) as it invokes "danger" real or unrea…

Hi, I would like to know if this building has good fengshui. http://www.jtc.gov.sg/Products/business+park/changi+business+park.asp Facing NE with water features flowing in. Building is rounded with back facing SW. Only funny design is 1st floor is below street level and therefore water like a stream flows into the central foyer pond like a valley from NE. Second floor has another visitor lobby and is street levelfacing SW also has a small water feature behind. Building has 9 floors and is completed in 2003 and I think should be period 7 building. Still some touching up at the top floor...Not sure if its period 8 as some say near period 7 end building is period 8... …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the question asked, may have more dimensions than what you had mentioned, below. For example, other major considerations like: 1. Is the stove facing a good direction (often should face a good direction suitable to the woman "head" of the home.) 2. Best to avoid placing the stove directly at the NW compass direction. This is known as "fire at heaven's gate" - considered by many FS practitioners as a very inauspicious location. For the stove as well as an oven or even a toaster oven, here. 3. If the kitchen is located at the South (fire element) compass direction of a home; it is OK to have the stove facing a water position. But if the kitche…

Too much of any single colour isn't good. In feng shui, the idea is to create a balance and harmony. This means that you need to have a balance of all five elements. Only then will you get perfect harmony. In terms of a single room decoration, it is best to always have at least two or three elements. Preferably three elements, because it will create an auspicious five element flow. ie water - H…

Sophia Chia wrote: Where is the ideallocation to place theimage of the Kuan Kong orhang an image of Kuan Kong? Is it ok to place at the entrance of the house or at the living room. Understand it is symbols of protection in the home or office. Dear Sophia, This is not Feng Shui but rather, it is a common practise by many Chinese to place the Kuan Kong (holding a Chinese long sword) facing a main entrance. Since he is holding a sword, he should not be facing into or "looking" at us in the living room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anthea, You cannot compare two different method's analysis. This will be like comparing an apple to an orange. Even in just the feng shui / horoscope, if you use Eight House gua element, this also does not match the ba zi element. Why? Eight House calculates fromthe year of birth, while Ba Zi calculates from date and time of birth. However, even though both gives you different analysis, but you will know that certain analysis you use Eight House while certain analysis uses Ba Zi. Same with nearly all concepts. Pu Kua or any Divinity method is aconcept to attempt to predict what might happen or to help choices. This is entirely different from like Ba Zi which only…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: But I know, my renovation of the house will include wacking of wall, making flooring and furniture from scratch. It's totally empty and not furnished yet. Yes, if based on your renovation, it does not matter if it is a period 7 house now. As the "wacking of wall", will likely convert it to a period 8 house. So what you should be doing is planning the home so that it fits the period 8 house chart to benefit from the period 8 house luck. Hope that helps.
