To add more to complication my house shakes when a large truck drives by. My place is so bad the walls end up with small cracks needing to be fixed. The pavement is also cracked due to the extreme weather. (N.A.) I often think the best solution is just to sell the house but the houses in my area are hard to sell. My bedroom door faces the bathroom door.

Dear Marie, If you mean that it is displayed facing `looking' inwards of the house. It is best to avoid, having a dragon figurine facing inwards towards the interior of the house. Where possible, it should face outwards or to an opening i.e. an open window. This is applicable especially to a `five claw' dragon. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned, a more accurate description of this concept are "These people are Interior Decorators who only come in to advise after the home has been renovated. And, often wants us to depart with our hard earned money on some useless objects. With the hope that their clients will feel nice after being conned by them."

Dear Master, Would like to know what is the interpretation for period 8 flying star with 3-9-1(M-W-B) for the entrance. Is it consider good? If not, any cure? How about a6-3-7 for the Master Bedroom? Is it good also? I am taking a NE1 Period 8 Natal Chart and it is a Wan Shan Wan Shui House for that period. Is it consider good or we still have to look at individual sector? Thanks a lot for your advise. Have a nice day Regards

Dear Anon, 1. The worst senario is where the front door meets the balcony or there is a direct path from the main door (exiting) towards a window, or balcony. However, this is easy to solve as most of us are aware, to place a screen or close the side of the balcony glass facing directly the door. 2. For the case of the bedroom door facing the main door, this is less auspicious than Para 1. You can still close the bedroom door when the main door is open. (I can understand the problem of placing a screen here). It is still best to use a screen if the main entrance door is next to a wall. This is an ideal situation for placement of a screen. But if the main entrance opens to…

Dear Sandy, It would be interesting for users in this forum to know, perhaps who has mentioned this `concept' that metal bed `draw away energy'. Frankly, in my opinion, there is no concrete proof of this. Nowadays, many beds also have many metal springs i.e box beds .... If we can understand more and what is the reason for saying that metal bed `draws away energy'... more of us can then make our own judgements about it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

If i'm going to generate flying star report, whose Ba Zi to use, my wife or me?Appreciate your advise. Thanks in advance. It is important is how you apply the concepts according to what is important:- Eight House allows each individual to check whether a house is suitable or not. However…

Dear Ang, 1. You have a valid point here. Frankly, as far I know, so far no one has studied this area in a large scale before. As it is a `recent' while Chinese Feng Shui has been around for more than 2,000 years. 2. Until someone truly studies this closely, we cannot say for sure how accurate their birthchart are based on Pillars of Destiny. 3. However, if we see the logic behind basic Pillars of Destiny, it uses one's Year, Month, Day and Time chart, most likely:- 3.1. the Year chart is still unchanged because no baby has an incubation period of more than 1 year i.e. unless his/her birth falls near Chinese Lunar New Year (end of one Chinese New Year) towards the new ye…

Dear Anon, 1. The `squeak' has more to do with `beliefs' than Feng Shui. 2. As for the door that does not close properly or difficult to close, it moves closer to Feng Shui and `commonsense approach'. 3. It is best that such as important thing like the main door not being able to close properly is best fixed as soon as possible. 4. As for commonsense approach, if the door is such that it can easily be opened by a burglar, than fix it fast. 5. In some situations where the Flying Star Analysis recommends that a sector has to be `kept quiet' do invest in a can of " WD40 oil". Warmest Regards, Cecil Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kamariah, Since you are in Malaysia, it is easier for you to find a Feng Shui consultant as I believe there are quite alot in the country. Here, you can get the consultant to provide you a package fee i.e. from helping you to select a plot of land and to do a full Feng Shui audit on the selected unit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could you convert my DOB for me, I was born on May 4, 1968 of the Chinese calender and I would like to know what was the Western calender? Some people told me it is May 30 and some told me June 01. Based on the chinese lunar calendar:- Lunar: 4th day, 5th month of1968 Western: 30 May 1968 So 30 May 1968 is the correct western date of birth for you. If western: 1 Jun 1968, then your lunar is 6th day , 5th month of 1968. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Jaishree, As you are new to Feng Shui, I quite understand you being anxious to go right down to `make changes'. However, it is good to decide on your approach as to how you can find out about FS: 1. If you are in a real hurry to apply Feng Shui, you should consult a FS consultant to check on your house. 2. In normal situations if you are starting to learn Feng Shui, my advise is to start off with a sound foundation and not approach Feng Shui like visiting a fast food outlet that serves fast food. 3. The easiest for a beginner is to start out with: - Understanding Shapes and Form School. There are quite alot of free resources on this site. Or get yourself a book on it…

In my opinion, there is really no need to hang anything above a toilet door. For example, there are even some who hang a short curtain above the door. Commonsense says that if we don't regularly wash it; it will be full of germs or bateria in no time.

Dear Melanie, In my opinion, there is really not much one can do in such a situation. Usually, (but may not be feasible) in your case is the use of false ceiling or a poster bed with cloth covers over the top of the bed. Since this option may not be available, hanging a crystal, may make one `feel good' but thats all it can do. In traditional FS, besides this situation, one uses e.g. the Flying Star to analyse and if there are any imbalances, neutralise it to lessen any effects in the sector. Dear Anon, Recently, there are quite alot of discussions on statues and objects. For those who have been in this forum for quite sometime will know that I am going to say that this is related to Chinese beliefs. Some may not even be Chinese beliefs but believes of various people or simply decorative art works. The most common statues found outside Chinese buildings or homes are a pair of lions on each side of the main entrance. It is common to find these statues nearly everywhere. It can be at the main entrance of a restaurant or at the stairs leading to the restaurant. It is found outside Chinese shops and buildings. If one looks at the statute carefully, it is standing …

Dear Keo Keo, There are two `levels' of analysis when using Chinese `tools':- 1. The most common is where we browse through any Chinese Astrology books, one will find that each of us as you mentioned were born in a particular year such as the year of the snake. And this zodiac sign is looked at in terms of compatiblity with loved ones. In fact, most Chinese Zodiac books will be similiar to the evaluation for eg. in the web such as www.lovesigns.net. 2. Overall, under Para 1, we are looking generally at a person's trait based on his year of birth only. 3. In more advanced Chinese Astrology or using a similar method such as Pillars of Destiny; the Year, Month, Day, Hour an…

Quote: Do you still recommend living in this bedroom? It seems all the bad stars are in this bedroom. Would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance. 1. This question reminds me of the concept " We stay here, you don't". "We" meaning the owners and family members of a home. And "You"often meaning the person who gives the advice". 2. For those practising Feng Shui whether professionally or non-professionally, should give advice based on as much facts as possible. 3. For example, in the above, what happens if this is your onlyw bedroom or no matter how, a family member have to occupy this bedroom. Otherwise, end up sleeping in the living room couch or bath-tub. 4. For …

Dear Gail, 1. Yes, it is considered inauspicious to have the front door open to steps. 2. If there is some distance between the two; then a divider or a screen could be used to neutralise this or (I am not sure how `ugly' a curtain or beads look) but the concept here is: `if it cannot be seen (stairs) it no longer poses a threat'. 3. In addition, take sometime to look out of the front door and windows to look out for any `poison arrows'. Here poison arrows usually refer to pointed objects or an edge of a building pointed towards the front door or windows. Or it could be a lone lamp post `slicing' thru the window or door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daniel, In open living, ideally, (under Feng Shui conditions) there is still some `partitioning'. It may not be a full wall. It can be something like an eating or storage counter separating the cooking area from the living room. In the living room, the act of placing furniture to segregate the living room from other locations is as effective as using walls. Therefore, there is really no issue here. For an `L' shaped room even if it is an open space can effectively be segregated into two whole rectangles. This is a better FS configuration that leaving the house as an `L' shaped. (This is based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui.) Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'ma strong water. What's the best car color for me, red, green, or yellow? Strong Water normally means that Wood (green/brown), Fire (red), Earth (yellow)are your favourable. Fire (red) will be wealth to Strong Water. The element you have least percentage among the favourable element, means that you lackthat element. So that element/colour becomes your most effective element/colour to go for. Hope that helps. These are some considerations: 1. If a sector also has good qi especially those coming in thru a window, good to open such windows to allow qi to flow into the home and when doing so, it does help the centrepoint. 2. Usually after heavy down-pour; good to regularly air the entire home e.g. open all "openings" if possible for a short-while - for qi to refresh into the home. 3. Some homes at the centrepoint has clear space, this is good for #8 at the centrepoint. But this is meant more for a home with 20 year flying star and when one wants to built the home from scratch. 4. If a sector has good star(s); and if one can spent time or activity at that sector; that is good.…
