Frankly, it is strongly recommended that one does not apply "Fast Food Feng Shui!" Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have been unfortunate in the romance and love area for a few years now. I am wondering what are some of the best feng shui colours, object placements, etc would be for the bedroom. Or if there are particular things or colours I should be wearing. I've heard placing lots of pinks/reds/purples (colours of romance) and items in pairs in the bedroom would help. Looking at the above, I am pretty worried that you may not be able to (on your own) given that you are trying to apply some sort of Feng Shui. Often, such Feng Shui is akin to a dog circling itself trying…

In real life situation and not in a far fetched, utopian world; under Feng Shui:- Metal can be represented by white and gold. White can also be considered as a "neutral" colour. For example, in the past, either sandstone or lime is used to plaster walls. And lime is = white. And white is a very common colour. Gold is "tricky" colour. As you had mentioned, many of the near pure gold wedding rings are "yellowish". Thus, some people, may consider "yellow" as gold. However, usually, one can or may try totell, by looking at say a curtain. Some curtains are silky smooth yellowish - much closer to gold colour. While some curtains are just plain yellowish. Orange colour is a…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- If the compass direction falls closer to one wall, the mountain star should be placed on this wall. The rationale is that there is a conflict here. The front door should be activated by a water star. e.g. outside the front door, it should be low and clear space. Placing a mountain star inside the front door does not achieve the above purpose i.e. a waste of time and money. In addition, what happens if the solid object falls off and hits the head of someone coming into the main entrance door. Ideally, it should be objects like a paper weight and immovable e.g. without wheels. It can be of any materials e.g. a solid rock object, cr…

Dear Sandy, Yes, it makes practical sense for the 4-poster bed to be covered with fabric or lace. - OK, no issue. As it makes it easy to "maintain" i.e. wash and re-use again. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Eva, 1. The most common Compass School techique of the Eight House Theory is to look at the compatiblity of the house to the breadwinner. 2. I am not sure if I got your question correct, but perhaps, I believe what you meant was whose profile to use? If this is the case, usually it is the person who earns the most for the house. Thus for a suitable house i.e. front door, should be favourable to the element of the breadwinner. As Feng Shui is a holistic method, we should also for example look at each family member especially in relation to the intangible force at their bedroom. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Quote: currently my fiance and myself are looking for a house that is scheduled to be completed ahead of schedule in end 2006. My hubby to be kua is 4. Strong fire Mine is 2. Strong fire Seems like what's good for me is bad for him and vice versa. I understand thatthe maleshould draw the luck from the house. Which direction should the master bedroom be in? Hope todraw luck from the room if possible. Believe bed orientation is a headache too...haiz.... This is a very common issue that most people face. So most will apply the give and take approach:- 1. The breadwinner must be given the best house suitability. While if possible the house facing should not fal…

Dear Shinta, Often, especially if one is doing DIY Feng Shui; should if possible also draw out a Flying Star Chart of your home. The purpose is to: 1. identify areas that need or require correction(s) if any and or to 2. Enhance certain sectors. The rationale for drawing a Flying Star Chart is thus to understand what are the intangible forces at a specific sector. In most instances, there is no harm placing a set of six-coins especially if there are sectors found with #5 or #2. But may not be too good if the sector has Mountain Star #8 etc... as it may hurt this wealth sector. In addition, a bottle gourd is traditionally used also to neutralise #5 or #2. And often …

Hi, Well, the problems you have seems to be from either some lacking in elements in your Pillars chart which is why you got such sickness. And it could also be increased with the association of certain unfavourable elements which you should avoid or the house in which you stay in also contain sickness (2/5 stars) which may worsen the problem. Generally black funitures represents water element. It will be bad to you if you are a strong water, weak Fire, weak Metal person etc. Basically, at this stage where I do not have much details (eg. true birth element, house chart etc) from you nor any analysis of your home etc. It is difficult to advice you or help you identify the p…

1. Since no two lots or sites are the same, just be careful thatthe main door is not facing a T juction (street). And under Shapes and Forms, the drainage needs to be looked at. In general, best to avoid a large drainage behind the plot. Quote: I am looking at a lot, frontage is about 24 meters. But a portion-8 meters is facing a street. Isit still advisable to acquire such a lot. Is there a bad omen to lots facing a street. This is just a portion.

Dear Anon, Let me explain: Usually the main concern is the main entrance door or a window. A good example is Evelyn Lip's story in one of her books Geomancy. She wrote that the owners of a house faced calamity and even a FS Master could not find the problem. Only at a later stage where the Master stood at the door and looked out (during low tide) and saw a profile or figurine that looks like a toad or frog with its mouth opened facing the house. Here, he placed some objects to symbolically represent flies to mean that the mouth is full. From what we can learn here is to avoid letting objects with open mouth e.g. face the main door if we can. It is better to take the pre…

Dear Daniel, More important consideration is the edge of a table which produces `Sha Qi'. Others relating to books and CD's are modern concepts and in my opinion less important than Sha Qi produced by sharp corners and overhead beams. Many of us are constantly surrounded with such modern day convenience and it is difficult to keep these away yet be convenient for us to `use'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In the past, occupations are `clear cut'. One can easily relate it to the type of occupation. 2. Nowadays, because of different functions and multi-skilling, jobs are harder to identify. 3. In my Applied Feng Shui book, I have provided many examples of jobs and the relation to the elements. 4. Under the Pillars of Occupation Report under geomancy-online.com , it shows the `types' of occupation: 4.1. Occupation and Wealth Occupations, based on Pillars of Destiny would most like provide wealth. 4.2. Occupation and Power Occupations that `gives' one power 4.3. Other occupations Examples of occupations are highlighted each for Wealth, Power and Other occupation…

1. Frankly, after reading several of your messages, hope I don't mind saying that you are really "impatient" to apply Fast Food Feng Shui! 2. Isn't it better to know all the facts rather than do DIY Feng Shui. Or leading the blind to guide you! Quote: Ellen E. wrote: Thinking ofcontructing a 4 ft x 2 ft pond for water lily, lotusand other water plants at the left side of my gate. Can I build the pond outside my fancing? 3. For example, you make the above statement. And expect me with all the "blind" unknown variable and adivse you whether it is good or not to built a pond outside your fencing? This is not right! I might as well use a dice and throw it and then give you …

Please help! Basically, the stars have 7/6 which represents weak metal/Strong Metal. So it should be enough to control the Earth Star. Dear Chew Khui Suan, Chew Khiu Suan wrote: I like to find out when i renovate my office in the current period, it becomes period 8, right? Not really. If the renovations are not major enough, it may not be enough to fly over to period 8. Only renovations like hacking down of walls etc that changes the Qi flow within the house are often considered major. The rest may not. However, in most cases, you can still do a symbolic fly over by repainting the entire house, and having at least 3 major celebrations to attempt to fly it over. This will take a longer period of time for the Qi to fly over (ie 1 year or more). Chew Khiu Suan wrote: the thing i am concerned is that th…

Dear Anon, 1. If you are using the Eight House Theory, you should also look at what is the influence in your bedroom. 2. Normally, we look at the Flying Star of the house particulary, the Main entrance door and the second door to see if these are auspicious. For example, if your house is constructed within 1984 to-date, and if there happens to be a Double 7s (this may sound technical) it implies that this door at NW sector is auspicious for the main door. So one should continue to use it. 3. If you do not want to use the Flying Star, then, I still feel that as you mentioned that SE door is not convenient, you should not use this door. For the main door, at NW, you shoul…

Dear Anon, Yes, in Chinese belief, it is not auspicious to use a black lamp shade. As for a throw pillow, this can be quite subjective. If you have a picture of it, perhaps you can post it here. Overall, having black furniture is not necessarily considered bad. For example, many leather seats for the living room are black in colour. Equally, nowadays, many furniture e.g. TV set stands and TV sets are in black colour. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Flemming, 1. It depends. Most and foremost, one has to look at the layout plan of the interior of the house. 2. Often, since the living room and dining room are close or next to each other, the placement of the sofa has to be looked into under the context of the living room vs dining room. 3. Often, it is good to create two symbolic rectangles between the living room and dining room area. 4. Factors like the shape of the living/dinning room should be looked into closely. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, 1. Where possible, one should avoid `open' water at the centrepoint. But if it is a hotwater heater, not much can be done and this can still be located here as it is `sealed'. Not ideal, but, still `acceptable'. 2. Where possible, if this is a storage area, if there are shelves, items can be placed on the shelves. But avoid, turning on e.g. vacuum cleaner or create a `disturbance' at the centre location. Static objects can be placed on shelves. Objects such as mobs should be dry before placing it in this location. It is thus advisable to leave the space clear as possible. Warmest Regards, Cecil
