Dear Micky, If they are tiny lions, then often not an issue because of it's size. Usually, these should be considered more of a decorative item than anything else. Under the Five elements concept; lions are considered as a metal element. And often, it two huge lions are facing our door, then, the best approach is to place a red banner over our door. Dear Sophia, One of the methods or "conditions" that can help change a home to a Period 8 home is (besides renovations) is to invite the lion (lion-dance) into the home. Dear adviser, People used to say 1st-Live; 2nd-Luck & 3rd-Feng Shui. For me, live is usual and without much improvements, and luck is always seems to be staying down hill. So now the only hope for this case is to depend on Feng Shui. But how do I apply FS effectively to enhance my live and luck? 1. Frankly; I would believe that one of the chief concerns would be security - since after office hours - it would seem quite a vacant place to be at. 2. Honestly, since no two places are the same, external environment, the site, the place or location of where your "home" is has to be considered. 1. In my opinion, what you described is pretty common - apartment basements in some parts of NY city. 2. Commonsense Feng Shui:- 2.1. In some low lying countries; the main concern is that for such apartments; is - if there is sudden flooding i.e. where the nearby drains leading to the sea got clogged and or due to sudden heavey downpour in the Tropics. 2.2. Hi, For 3 years I have lived in an old hotel that went bankrupt because of lack of customers. The hotel is half way up a mountain, and there are no shops or cafes around. There is a very old building close by which was the main hotel. It looks like a ghost hotel. The rooms have been remade into apartments. After I came here, my career and relationships have suffered. Could this be due to living in a hotel that was closed and made into apartments? There is a feeling of "stagnation". Cheers

Units 5402 and 5401 are at a `T' junction and for these two units at the end of the road, preferably the main doors should not be in direct alignment to the road. Dear Sophia, It all depends on the interior layout plan. Actually, for those living in a landed property, often, the frontage of the home would be the living room area and "behind" it is the diningarea. Thus for landed properties, more often, the diningarea is higher than the living room. And not the other way as mentioned, below. This is quite common because, most of the time, "clear-space" should be at the"frontage" and the back of the home should be higher. Hi Cecil, Kindly seeking your help. Im in the mist of planning our renovation, and we found a nice spot for our living room. Located in the north west of the house. The only issue is the partial living room is under a upstairs toilet( masterbedroom toilet), above our sitting area is the upstairs balcony , but the television and coffee table will be under the toilet.Should i be concern?My couch will be behind a curtain window, is that alright? or should i out a a cabinet behind the couch ?( that would mean the couch will be heading toward the upstairs toilet. Dear Daria, Please see the attachment. I used Smart Draw software to give a simple illustration: 1. Please see a sample `North' marking. It may not be exactly true North. But this is merely a sample. 2. I had placed a True compass direction's grid on the `centre-of-gravity' of the layout plan. This method is known as the True compass `pie-chart' method. Another method is to properly mark out the `zones' for each compass direction. Much like the sample `zone' shown in PURPLE for the North compass direction.
