Dear Danny, Please see below:- It is preferred that the master bedroom is a rectangular shape (without odd corners or extension). This is especially so for a newly married couple. Since you have a son, there could be other underlining reasons. Often, the Flying Star Feng Shui is used to diagnose sectors that have bad #3 and #4 wood elements which are associated with quarrels and disputes. This is one direction, that you may consider pursuing. Most probably, some of the bad stars had flew into especially the fish (tank) location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

DearChong Hoi, Chan Chong Hoi wrote: My masterbedroom is in the NW 'death direction' and my best sleeping direction is east 'prosperity direction'. Should I sleep with head facing east not withstanding the bedhead is in NW position. There is nothing much you can do about the room being your death sector unless you there is an alternative bedroom for you to sleep in that is more suitable. At least, you are sleeping in East facing position which will help to offset the death sector issue. The other thing you can do is to ensure you boost your own ba zi luck by choosing the colour scheme favourable to your ba zi element. Of course you also need to be careful that certain…

Dear Reyla, 1. How long have you been staying in this house? 2. Are you facing financial distress? 3. Overall, there are two major Shapes and Forms `handicap' for this home: 3.1 Please refer to marking `A'. ================================ In addition to the toilet at the centrepoint of the home; another further problem is that the centrepoint or the centre-of-gravity for this home does not have clear space. Here, qi from all areas of the home cannot congregate or meander at this centrepoint or `flux'. Often, if one stays in such a home for more than 2 or 3 years, one can feel the impact of financial problems. Since qi cannot effectively flow `about' in all directions. 3.…

1. Under Commonsense Feng Shui, definitely, it is considered not ideal to have the master bedroom directly above the kitchen. As it is believed that there is a higher incidence of a "fire" starting in a kitchen. Thus, this has more to do with "safety" aspect than of Feng Shui. However, in modern times, things like smoke detectors / fire alarm sensors / panels maybe in the master bedroom can help in such a situation. As fire travels upwards and such things can help. 2. Under Symbolic Feng Shui:- 2.1. Yes, the stove direclty below the toilet bowl is a major concern. Often, again one aspect is based on commonsense Feng Shui as often the sewerage pipe is thus directly above…

1. In my opinion, it is very common especially for new couples to "conserve" their money and try not to overspent or worse, become so indebted even before carrying on a "new life". In fact, quite alot of couples I know previously, have kept some of the "unmoveable" fixtures such as what you had mentioned especially built in wardrope. 2. As mentioned above, money does not fall out of the sky! And often without money or savings or if we do have monetary problems between couples.. it is one of the leading cause of "separation" etc.. 3. Especially for the entire home, one of the best key successfactors is to definitely re-paint the entire home. 4. Prior to taking over the…

Dear Eva, 1. This has more to do with `safety' then Feng Shui. But because of this, many Feng Shui practittioners (advise) that one should not have the bedroom above kitchen stove. (Especially if it is directly. As some may argue that it may `burn' a relationship.) 2. In my personal opinion, you are not using a business stove with very high flames and is not cooking at night. 3. If you have a smoke detector, all the better. More concern is the million to one chance of a kitchen catching fire and as fire travels upwards, this is the `cause for concern. ' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Many geomancers consider the following: 1. Preferably an altar should be made of wood or concrete. 2. An altar should not be made of glass. 3. It should be of a favourable dimension. 4. The joss stick urn/holder should preferably be made of brass and not glass or marble/earth element. 5. A metal altar should not be used unless it is (looked into... ) as favourable on the advice of a geomancer. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: When leaving the marital home due to seperation and divorce, Would it be appropiate to take material possessions? minus garbage and donating to charity. How about the marriage bed and frame? less than 2 years old? or the bedroom suite ?Is there any advise to help the transition to a new life? This is really up to you. Personally, there isn't harm taking things that can still be used. Most of what you mentioned are mostly chinese beliefs if any. Probably the reason why you might not want to consider the bed and frame is so that it does not remind you of an unsuccessful marriage for example. So ideally, if you want to start a fresh it is best to …

Hi Cecil, According to your reply to Peter Chen re:5 yellow, could you please explain what you meant by 5 yellow not necessarily be at the North this Lunar year? If I am not mistaken, 5 yellow will indeed stay there for the duration of the new year, although this doesn't mean everyone will be affected by it. Even if that sector of a home has other prosperous stars and the 5 yellow doesn't affect the lucky occupants, wouldn't it be necessary for one to be cautious and may be take some precautions like putting metal coins there. (to be on the safe side.) Thanks

Hi Anon, I believe it that is refering to the Flying Star concept. There is a description which is quite similiar, Up mountain and Down Mountain. So 7 Up could refer to Number 7 Star in the Up mountain or 7 Star in the Down mountain configuration. Up mountain and Down mountain simply refers to where the mountain is located ether at the front or back of the house depending on the frontage. Hope that helps. Frankly, if you are so interested especially in Flying Star numbers, please go and take up a course on it. Katrina L. wrote: Cecil, What does each base star number represent? I only know that base star number 1 represents water. How about the other base star numbers? What is the significance of each base star? How does it affect each sector of the house? Is it less important than the mountain star number and water star number? I know these are a lot of Qs again. Hope you can further explain to me. Thanks much.

HiHwee Ling, Generally, this is some signs of personal intuition that maybe at work. Most of time, when someone very close or something bad or unsual is about to work, most people have this eye twitching feature. This could be some kind of warning that something may be going on. Everyone has some form of personal intuition or 6th sense that can give you advance warning. So this could be one of the kind of signs. Alternatively, it may be nothing except that your eyes are irritated. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET- Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Angela, 1. Sector Feng Shui or what you have mentioned below is the common advise from some Feng Shui books. 2. Most of the time, these books (some which have been written since 1984 or earlier) commonly suggest improvement such as `glorifying' or "paying homage" to a corner. 3. For example, these authors have tried to make money by mentioning that e.g. that one should enhance i.e. our romance corner with say ... flowers or pictures of loved ones. And this can be applied in a home or in a bedroom, e.g. the South-West corner. 4. This concept or idea is based on the Eight aspirations or Life associations or Life aspirations i.e. where, each sector is (was) said to have…

Many Blessings, Very Happy Mary What the entire fountain really symbolise depends on how it was designed to look. I can only say from the 6 rungs and 7 rungs is that the numner 6 (Strong Metal) and 7(weak Metal). Metal + Water is a good combination of element. Especially if thefountainis made ofearth (stone like), may result in overall 3 element harmony. ie Earth material, 6/7 Rung (M…

Usually, or symbolically, a mole on one's back (of the body) may be considered as a "burden". But a mole on one's chest is very common. However, based on the concept: if it is not seen it is no longer a threat holds true! In the past, many people are concerned of moles especially at areas where it can be seen i.e. facial mole(s). In my opinion, it is highly unlikely that removing a mole on one's check can change one's life directly. However, one cannot discount one's mood i.e. if removing a mole gives the person perhaps some "uplift" or hope, and is not dangerous or leave some scars.. then no harm.. trying, thou. Dear Mr. Lee, Thank You very much for your advice. I am bit confused about the following advice you have givenie., "if you have a feng shui ruler every8 inch will fall under the auspicious dimensions ie 7-10 inch or 15-18 inch etc." Would you please explain to me what you mean by this? My understanding is that the length of the desk should be a multiple of 8 such as 56, 64, 72 or 120,128, 136 or 144. Did Iunderstand it correctly? Thank You. Anon

Dear Sachin, 1. Please do a search for the recent posting on measurements that you had requested. 2. I mentioned that the optimum measurement for desks is exactly mulitiples of 1 Feng Shui sq. feet or an area of 17 sq feet. For example your measurements below should be in muliples of 17. E.g. 17 inches, 34 inches, 51 inches, 68 inches, 85 inches etc.. 3. Currently, the width of 34 x 34 is OK. But for the length, please subsitute it with any of the above multiples. 4. As mentioned above, the OPTIMUM auspicious area of a FEng Shui desk is to have it in multiples of 17 inches / sq Feng Shui foot. Warmest Regards, Cecil
