Hi Anon, Unfortunately, it is going to be difficult for end users to be able to tell what is really right or wrong. This is not the only theory that I have seen which is different ways to apply, even other concepts like flying star, eight house, ba zi also have lots of variation. The best advise I can give you is, for the internet, it is easy for anyone to write an article on Feng Shui, more importantly, you should always check up on who wrote the article and how much experience they have on the matter. I mean no point taking advise from an article written by someone who just got interest in the subject and thus written the article as they will probably not be able to f…

Hi Angela, Angela Le wrote: I wrote last time, but you werent' able to answer because my picture did not attach. My question was, "how would you read the main entrance if the main front door faces west and the garage faces west too, but when you park your car in the garage and use the garage door to enter the home, it falls on the SW Line. So which one is it if you use the garage door as your main entrance? West or SW? Since your home is a landed property, you take the facing from the main door entry (not from the car garage). This will also be the general facing of your home. Either way, both faces West. As such your home is considered a West house. This is the general …

Please note that this falls more towards a Can or Cannot Buy House Hunting Floorplan Review service than asimple free advise. As in order to be able to fully answer whether which home is better, analysis into your various family members, and layout plan is required to give you a proper advise. As such, I will only be providing advise here for you to check out yourself. Dear Angela, A Le wrote: How would you read a diagram of a house to see if it is really missing any corners if it has a covered porch with a small fence around the porch? I have attached a photo. Do you count the covered porch or not? Because if you do not count it, then I will be missing a corner in the SW area, which is not good for me because of my ba zi. If based on the layout you attached, I would consider the garage a protrusion rather than consider the covered porch a missing corner. This is because when you conider where the main door is located, that would give you the border house, where the grarage becomes a protrusion. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robe…

Dear CindyLu, Quote: I've always wondered if feng shui helps people struggling with weight loss/gain. Would this just be associated with the general health star? or does this not have significance in flying star? Please understand that Feng Shui is no mircle cure for all problems. Health / Relationships are two of the areas which Feng Shui has least influence or effect. Health is best to always seek Medical advice from doctors. To excercise to improve your health and maintain healthy diet. Relationship depends on two person's willingness to give in to each other. So if you understand this, you will know that there is no way that Feng Shui can fully have an impact ove…

I will be very grateful.. thank you Yes, in terms of chinese horoscope, dog and goat aren't ideal combination. However, not to worry as it is not the end of the world. Chinese Horoscope generally considers year of birth so you are matching year of birth to year of birth to check compatibility. You should also check on the element from your ba zi and see what kind of eleme…

Frankly, each unit is unique on it's own so it hard to tell you what you should be looking out for.All I can is to look out for any general sha qithat might cut into your home and other shapes and form issues such as toilet center of house, missing corners etc. Pool facing units though good, but take note that it can also be noisy and sometimes may lack some privacy. Otherwise, frankly, quite difficult to advise unless you actually review the unit in detail. Hope that helps. Warmes…

Black Hat Sect practise using static templates (ie South-West is Romance corner for example), so every's Romance activation sector is South-West. Dear Chong Wee Wei, There are two senarios, here: 1. Symbolism in Feng Shui Under symbolism in Feng Shui, it is best to avoid having items such as fork or occasional scissors on the dining table if it can be seen from the main entrance. As this could suggest : issues like quarrels in the home. In addition, the idea of having a empty rice bowl with a set of chopsticks on the di…

Dear Hoa Luong, This is often quite a "rare" shape. As the back pointed edge would mean that both sides-of-the-fence have quite an odd backyard. Most properties would not be divided with such "backyard". As it would often be level with the property. Is this land for real? Generally, so long as the front is smaller and the back is wider, it can still be of good-Feng Shui. One can always do landscaping such that from top down, the home, if possible should be as rectangular in shape. Hope that the next round, you don't post a circular plot of land. Else, it will be one of the kind that no reasonable, government would sell such a plot..... Warmest Regards, Cecil Hoa Lu…

Dear Lily, Quote: May I ask what happens if WS8 and MS6 fell in the sector of half of the toilet and half of the dining room (divided by a solid wall). Can WS8 be activated in the dining room? The other half of the dining room is MS2, WS3 and B7. As long as a resonable amount of sector influence cover the dining room, it is still possible to activate the stars in the sector. For Water Star however, you also need to make sure there is clear space available, because that is the requirement. A dining room may not be as effective a location compared to living room/balcony. With the open space consideration, you will not be able to enjoy the water star in this sector of …

Which one do I use as my main door when trying to calculate the main door in order to feng shui? If you plan to do the feng shui for the entire building, then you take the main door to the office building facing west. However, since you are doing the feng shui for your own office location only, then you should take the entry door to your office which is South-East. Hope that helps. Dear Lily, Quote: May I check if our whole HDB block is being washed and painted by the Town Council, does that put our block into Period 8. The neighbouring blocks are of course painted as well ie. all the blocks (total 5 blks) in our area are painted. Painting alone isn't often enough to be classified as a major renovation. Major renovation is often classified by hacking of walls which change the internal structure of the house. Thus, your unit will retain the existing period. Hope that helps. Hi Anon, Quote: I'd like to find out when is the Qing Ming festival in year 2006. Does Qing Ming always start and end on the same Lunar Calendar dates every year? The start of Qing Ming Festival is always on 4th / 5th / 6th Apr (Western Calendar). Some modern people will start Qing Ming as early as two weeks before, whereas most people will do it within the month of Qing Ming. It can last for as long as 1 month. As such there is no fixed date for the end of the Qing Ming. Start of Qing Ming for 2006 is 5 Apr 2006. Hope that helps. Or can we do any other landscape, say like -just putting pebbles, stone, paving bricks on the conflicted ground??????? In terms of renovation, the only direction to be extra careful is the West due to the Grand Duke. East and North-Westare just Sickness and Misfortune stars. It does not mean you cannot have renovations done in that sector. Only the Grand Duke is what you want to avoid. Grand Duke dislikes noise ie hacking or drilling etc. As long a…

Does closing in a porch and turning it into a sunroom qualify as a renovation? It would involve installing windows, flooring, and moving an exterior door.Should a deck also be built in this same direction this year? The only direction that you really need to be concerned with is the Grand Duke direction West 270 degree. This sector should avoid any renovations if possible. Other analysis such as flying star etc impacts the house luck, so you need to check to see if it is advantages to renovate the house as it might change the house luck from …

Dear Gavin, Gavin Loe wrote: Can anyone please give some advise on the ideal location/facing for placing a fish tank with 8 gold & 1 black gold fish? Generally, the best position to place water feature is where there is an auspicious water star 8 present in that sector. If you do not look at these information, then usually the best place to place a fish tank or water feature is at the living room/balcony area which is often considered an open space. This is one ar…
