Dear Niap, Please see below:- Clear space at the frontage is an alternative to having a water position, here. If it is flown to Period 8, in my opinion, it may not be advantages to the male breadwinner as there will be problems if this sector is "uncured". Since there is an imbalance of too much fire x 2 times. Make sure that the room does not have too much wood (especially green) to further inflame it. Introducing earth element is a double edged sword, at this sector since, earth can fuel further bad metal (#7 theft/robbery star). The most effective element is water: Blue, black or grey at this sector. All users please don't simply copy what is the base, mountain…

Note Added by Cecil: For your question on how to change to Period 8, please make an effort to do a SEARCH in the forum for available information on it. Dear Sir, I am staying in a period 7 house with North 2/3 facing (appx 15 degree from North). I would like to know what do I need to do to change my house to Period 8 house? My main door faces North and what lies ahead in this coming period 8 for this house if I do not do anything. What are the remedies and how can I achieve good health and wealth for my family? My Kua is 8 and would this be a good year for me? Your response is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Amy, No, removing the trees (external) does not change the Flying star qi. However, this year, the Grand Duke of Jupiter is at compass degree SSW. And removing the tree(s) at SW may not be a responsible thing to do. Given that one should not distrub the Grand Duke at his present location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The reason why you will not find answer to your question is because in order for anyone to know where is the best position to place a water feature, will mean that they will have to do a full personalised anlaysis of your home before anyone can recommend where exactly you can place the water feature so as to take advantage of the new period. Generally, a water feature is good to be located in an open space area, often the frontage or garden would be a generally a good choice. I so happen to reply another question on water feaure, which I have put up some tips and guides on water position which you can read up as a guide. http://forum.geomancy.net/webboard/wb…

Dear Micky, The period 8 built house can be generated by selecting period 8 period when you create a flying star profile. The house will not fly to the period automatically unless you effect a change. Thus, any report created under period 7 will remain a period 7 house chart. For the yearly flying star, the 2005 stars will be available once you pass the Chinese Lunar New Year. The current year is still 2004. All our concepts on the website follow a standard calendar format ieChinese Lunar Calendar. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Thank you Cecil for sharing your thoughts on this matter. I am in total agreement with you. Far too many people believe feng shui is the magic bullet for all their "ills". When I tell them this, some can get quite annoyed ! And usually these are the people that have got themselves into a mess. Sadly in this day and age we all seem to want instant gratification. Cheers Glyn

Dear Anon, Fundamentally, what is Qi? Qi is invisible and cannot be ordinarily detected by any instrutment (although in Hong Kong, they do sell some of these products purporting to be qi detectors) Anonymous wrote: In my neighbourhood, the Govt has started roof repairs to HDB flats and soon an entire block's external facade will be repainted. Walls of common areas eg corridors, stairwells, lobby, etc will also be given a fresh coat of paint. Will these measures be sufficientto changemy flat from Period 7 to Period 8 especially if I do not renovate my unitor repaint myunit's ceiling in one session? However, many of us have learned or read that we can beneifit by activa…

Dear Brenda, 1. Often, the remodel would "Fly" your home to a Period 7 chart given that you had built two new rooms to your home. 2. Nevertheless, if you have the time, you can chart out both the Period 6 and Period 7 chart. 3. Since last year, I had been drawing both Period 7 and Period 8 charts for all on-site clients. Unlike Period 6 charts: Period 7 and Period 8 seems quite `similar' in problem areas for the same sectors. 4. Often, the difference would be instead of sickness sectors; this has been `replaced' by #4 or #3 (bad wood). And often, in many instances, if the Period 7 chart is not that good; Period 8 also does not seem that good also. 5. If one has the time,…

Dear Lily, Quote: May I check if our whole HDB block is being washed and painted by the Town Council, does that put our block into Period 8. The neighbouring blocks are of course painted as well ie. all the blocks (total 5 blks) in our area are painted. Painting alone isn't often enough to be classified as a major renovation. Major renovation is often classified by hacking of walls which change the internal structure of the house. Thus, your unit will retain the existing period. Hope that helps. Dear Master, Would like to know what is the interpretation for period 8 flying star with 3-9-1(M-W-B) for the entrance. Is it consider good? If not, any cure? How about a6-3-7 for the Master Bedroom? Is it good also? I am taking a NE1 Period 8 Natal Chart and it is a Wan Shan Wan Shui House for that period. Is it consider good or we still have to look at individual sector? Thanks a lot for your advise. Have a nice day Regards

Hello, my S2 home has a MS 8 and a WS 8 at the front door, my husband thought to activate both stars was to build a 6 tier waterfall made of stone to place inside our home, not far from the front door, However, the base star 3 is here as well! (and the yearly 7), thus, water will only strengthen the wood and the heavy stone will strengthen the metal of 7 as well.....how can we activate these wonderful 8 stars - I obviously think fire would benefit all but would placing a fireplace by the front door be the wisest choice??Thanks for sharing your experience and wisdom with us all!

Dear Mr Robert/Cecil, Noted from your answer to one of the question raised recently that the better house facing for Period 8 is now North-East, South-West. I know that the flying star chart of these 2 facing houses are of that sum of ten, parent string etc... In practice, are they good? Would you mind to elaborate more on this. My hubbyand Ibelong to west group of which these 2 facing house arefavourable to us. We areplanning to search for double storey linkhouse built in period 8. Overall, depending on the external environment (especially the site and location); under Flying Star Period 8, a NE2 home generally enjoys a Parent string especiallyif the frontage has a "mountain" and the back... "clear space" effect. Health especially for the 1st year is a concern but overall, the house may enjoy favourable wealth luck. The suggestion or advise is for a holistic approach to Feng Shui: try to do a full Feng Shui audit : to neutralise the leaks and areas where qi can be improved on, try to do so. The remedy will depend on individual home and individual sector(s) of the home. We just bought a " very inauspicious" house according to the flying star theo…

Hello I am starting a new business and just rented a office space facing NW2. It is a period 6 building but the unit has been vacant for more than 1 year. I would like to know if I should use period 8 for the natal chart. The front door would be inNW with a ws 8 and the back of the office would be ms 8 in SE. Am I right to say this would be an ideal office? Are there anything I should look out for or should do to enhance the wealth creation of this business? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Cecil, My husband and purchased a property that settled on January 21st 2024 (period 8 ) and we moved all our belongings into the home immediately. However, we did not sleep there ourselves until February 8th 2024 (which is period 9). Which period do I use to calculate my flying star combination? An additional question about the Mountain star and Water star. As we are located in Australia, Southern Hemisphere, are the stars the same or are they flipped (as North is the "sunny" side and South is the "dark" side in terms of daylight) Thanks, Elissia

1. Please note that Period 8 ranges from 2004 to 2023. During the past few months, I being posting this link very often:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2010.htm 2. Go check it out. 3. Must everything have a cure? In fact, in many instances, the commonsense cure is not to do it. We plan to put up a small business in front of the house, which is better, locate it in the Northeast or Northwest part. I'm East group, Kua4. The house was built in Period 8. 4. Please note that this is a free GENERAL advice forum.

Hello - first off, thank you so much for providing your insight and wisdom. I have enjoyed reading your analysis over the years and am finally moving to a new home where I will be able to remodel the entire interior layout as I see fit. The only thing set in stone is the facing direction (NE1), which I am totally happy with. Given my freedom, I was curious of what you thought of my analysis and more specifically, where you think I should place the living room, bathroom, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, office, storage, and workshop. What is listed on the floorplan is just how it is currently laid out, but none of it is set in stone. Thank you again and have a blessed start …

Dear SK, You house has satisified Para 1 and 2. As for Para 3, as mentioned in my previous message, so far, it is proven that a hill as high as 1 storey high, will most certainly qualify for the Pearl String Formation. Hmm... for "tall thick Hedge", this is something new (or not proven yet). This is because, under the original Pearl String Formation, the effectiveness has to do with `earth' or a hill made of earth. As to a `hill' made of thick hedge, as mentioned, in my opinion, there is very few past precedence. And to me, frankly is virgin territory. Looking at it, you may have to decide on your own whether to try it or not. Thus to me, I cannot say for sure, if it will…

Hi Master just read somewhere that annual flying star matters more. Is that true? If my house period flying star is very good, does that means i do not need to care about annual flying stars? Or if my house has bad period flying stars, it is best that i move? Best regards Lizhi

Dear Anon, The house will continue to have the birth chart of a Period 7 house. Even, if he moves into the house after Lunar New year 2004. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master If my husband as the breadwinner chooses a house facing his favourable directions, i.e. North or East, this will meanunfavourable directions for my children and me, i.e. Death or Disasterfor my 2 children and Spook or Irritation for myself. Although favouable direction bedrooms can be allocated to my children, I'm still quite concerned over the effects on them. Should we or can we still choose a house that is facing North or East then?

Dear Anon, There are two ways at looking into this:- 1. Human Luck Factor Some of us enjoy putting on jewellry or wear some jewellry. And perhaps, make them feel good or even confident of one-self. Drawing a parallel, it is akin to buying somedecorative itemsfor the home. Imagine, a home can orlook very dull without some form of decoration. 2. Under the Five Elements Concept Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Under the Five Elements concept, if we take a careful look at the "destructive" cycle; one can see the "constant" Metal "destroys" Wood or Water "destroys" Fire or Wood "destroys"Earth or Fire "destroys" Metal or Earth "de…

Dear Bernard, 1. In the past, I had asked users here to apply a "Three-Step-Approach". Step 1: What is the purpose of the concept? (Or each concept) Step 2: What are it's strengths? Step 3: What are it's weakness? 2. It is best to note down, each concept with reference to these three questions (above). 3. For example, under the Eight House Theory, if one does not spent time at a specific sector, there is nothing else (nor magical) even if a sector is auspicious - based on this concept - one has to spent time at the sector. 4. Distinctively, we humans have our birth chart (Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny). And homes also has it's specific birth chart based on Flying Star Feng …

Dear Susan, 1. Some geomancers or users simply consider only the Year of birth. While others consider both Year and Month of birth. 2. While others look at Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. Here (geomancy.net); the House of Life and House of Conception are also considered. 3. One of the rationale is besides other considerations; the more variables i.e. stems and branches, the more we can analyse any double or triple combination clashes. These clashes sometimes are unfavourable: while other clashes are favourable. 4. House of Life or how `hard' is one's life or if one was born with a silver spoon is another consideration that can sway one's element e.g. weak water to str…
