Dear Anamika, Apologies, I am unable to comment on any Black Hat Sect practices as it is considered a marketing ploy and has no basis in Traditional FS practices. For example, one can never find *BTB* practised in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong or in the Far East. For example, in my country (Singapore) no one practises it. In many of such countries - such " practices " are condoned. Although the `founder' of *BTB* came from Taiwan to US; none of his countrymen in Taiwan I believe practices such pseudo stuffs. My best direction is southwest but my bedroom is in the south direction which is not favorable for me.Thus,i've decided to place my bed facing southwest.Since my bathroom is in the southwest direction,is it ok for me to sleep facing the wall which shares the bathroom and my bedroom? would that be considered as sleeping facing the southwest direction? Plus,i plan to move my bed to the corner below the light that is fixed against the wall.Will the light disturb me?what if i shift my bed slightly away from the corner?

Dear Anon, It is good to use a white primer first. Although it has nothing to do with FS. As long as the colour has been changed; what cannot be seen can no longer `influence' or be used. Therefore, by painting the wall rosy beige, it will be `influnenced' by this colour. Therefore, in my opinion, it does not matter that you have to remove the black paint first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Firstly, is there any other better alternatives then to place bamboo strips? For example, if it is a window, so long as you have closed the window or it is part of the balcony the balcony glass is on the side facing the main door such that qi cannot flow out directly. 2. If the above alternative is used, then no need to consider bamboo strips. 3. Dear Derek, Based on the little information provided, you may have to use your personal feeling to determine where you feel comfortable with the placement of a fish tank. Bear in mind that the living room should have clear space and the fish tank can be e.g. a conversation piece or against a wall, where you and your family feel comfortable with. Normally, the Flying Star chart is used to find out if there is any imbalance (if any) at the location where one wants to place a fish tank. Dear Jim, There are two ways at looking at having a fish tank: 1. For enjoyment. 2. `Reading' from somewhere and buying a fish tank and hoping for something auspicious to happen. Dear Abhijit, In general, fish tank should be placed against a wall. Usually, I believe, the fish tank that has been placed at north is meant more as a hobby piece. Rather than for Feng Shui purpose. Without much more investigations (e.g. using the various methods especially, the Flying Star Feng Shui, therefore, one can only say that it is ok, since you may have it there for sometime already. Further to my earlier reply: It is `acceptable' for flowers to be placed in the bedroom especially for those who are `recuperating' from an illness. This is inline with the common practise of giving flowers to those who are staying in a hospital bed especially after an operation. Hospitals are `more yin' environment especially the hospital bedrooms. Introducing some `Yang' into the rooms such as flowers will certainly brighten it. This can be introduced to a bedroom especially for those who are recovering e.g. from an operation or illness. This is more a common practise rather than `shoulder' it on Feng Shui. Dear Carina, Please see below:- 1. Ideally, please check that it should not be in the North sector of the home. 2. Where possible the stove should face inwards i.e. face inwards of the main door. If the above are met, it is still considered acceptable. Usually, a small table, be it hexagon, square etc.. (coffee table) will not make an impact on the house. Dear Tegs, If I read your message correctly, I believe you will be placing the headrest of your bed against a wall. This is a good choice. If you have a low linen cupboard, you can actually place it at the foot of the bed. Alternatively, whether it is possible to use a privacy screen or any other cabinet e.g. a low book shelf (with the shelf) facing outwards towards the door. Dear Bee Cheng, Most of the time, majority of `cures' required has to do with the use of metal element especially to cure bad earth i.e. #2 and #5 and bad wood e.g. #3 & #4. Thus, it is less of an issue with regards to finding a location for a metal safe.
