Dear Anon, Grateful if you can further elaborate on the extension. For example is it an `external' extension for a car park or an internal one. If internal, what is it used for. In addition, anyone who is familiar with the history of the house. This is because, beside the new extension, we could perhaps, `back-track' to see if any events match the flying star of the period. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Amanda, In my opinion, it is difficult to associate a vehicle problems with self - Feng Shui. However, under the Five elements concept, we could chose a colour of a car that harmonises with our element. For example, a person with `weak wood' can be advised to purchase a car that is blue or green. (First choice: Blue/grey or black). As FS and Pillars are holistic methods, one may have to look at one's element and strength, the house Feng Shui (where we try to avoid or neutralise `bad luck' such as sectors of the house with `misfortune' #5 stars (if we are basing to FS/ Pillars). Otherwise, it could be real mechanical problems with your car etc... Warmest Regards, Ceci…

I have bought a new house and will shift in soon. I have encounteredproblems with roof leaking , water pipe leaking ,wiring problems andother problems which have all been fixed. Does these problems signify bad feng shui ? My neighbour does not encounter much problem with his new house. Does this mean his house is of better feng shui? Pls advise.

My son was born Feb. 28, 1992 at 3:45am. He is a Kua 8. I have been told that he has a very challenging year ahead. He has too much wood in his chart. I have painted his room with white walls to represent Metal. I have placed the wou lou in the west and the Fireball in the Northeast corner. I have also placed a medicine mandala (a card) in his coat for protection. His behaviour is a bit better however, still many problems in school, hanging out with the wrong friends, making bad decisions. He "was" a straight A student and a very caring and honest person....his marks have dropped drastically and he has the "I don't care attitude". Is there anything else that you think may…

Dear Master Lee, A bad year for the rabbit--no kidding! I am struggling very much so. Seems as though all good luck generated so far ends up degenerating. Would like to know how to keep good luck flowing. 1) used your site for instant charts. Not sure how to read the flying star chart your site has generated for my home. I do not know how to read the chart to know where to position my aquarium, or wealth, etc.My flying star chart in Period 6 has the directions indicated, but in each individual grid there are three numbers, year with a number and month with a number--not sure which number goes with which. Are the big numbers the stars themselves? Which are lucky and unl…

Good afternoon Master, I have uploaded 2 images, one shows the property before development . The other shows the property being developed. I am keen in this particular project R&F Princess Cove at Johor , Looking at the land parcel, it is beside the causeway, generally with slow moving traffic/jam. While another road crosses below the causeway, leading to a X sort of cross junction. This particular project is situated beside the main causeway as can be seen in picture 1 showing Phase 1 empty land. Picture 2 shows that the project almost completed. May I seek your advice on the feng shui of such proje…

Dear Judy, Please see below:- 1. Yes, you have brought up a very interesting question. 2. First of all, Chinese do place importance in phonetic sounds. For example, several years back when China opened up its economy, I believe, there was this Coca Cola advertisement where the interpretation of the words `Coca Cola' was interepreted to mean an inauspicious name. 3. Subsequently, Coca Cola, revised this ad. 4. Chinese language is quite `complex' and a pronunciation can provide as much as say 4 different meanings to a character alone. 5. For the Chinese, usually, there is no issue once an auspicious sounding name has been chosen. 6. In the past where there was no stand…

Dear Pirkkala For a favourable placement of a fish tank, it is best to apply both the Shapes and Forms and Compass School : Flying Star Feng Shui Since your ba zi is a "strong fire" person, a fish tank is in general, favourable for you. However, as mentioned above: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui vs Flying Star Feng Shui Here, Shapes and Forms should be combined with Flying Star Feng Shui to look at the suitability of the placement of a water feature. Frankly, what you had mentioned i.e. best locations of fish tank e.g. at south-west etc... is considered "kindergarten type of Feng Shui". In the above senario, often, the most suitable location(s) for the fish tank is ofte…

Dear Master Lee, Thank you so much for your reply. I will study more on flying star, and may actually use your service, since flying star is something I firmly believe (the other method, "kindergarten feng shui" --or as one calls it "mcbagua" cost me 140 dollars for an hour and nearly wrecked my prosperity!--I knew something quite didn't fit right. If I can figure it out on my own regarding flying star, I will, but I am considering using your service. I am mentally sending you a red envelope filled with lucky wishes and prosperity for your kind reply--let me know where I can mail the real thing for better luck! Sincerely, Lisa L. Pirkkala

Dear Jeffrey, If I am not wrong all the variations you may have heard should be correct. This is because in the Chinese Culture, we have different types of dialects, (eg. hokkien, cantonese, teo chew, har kar etc), These dialects pronounce the words slightly differently creating the variations. For example, lets take a surname Chen in Chinese. In Hokkien it is refered to as Tan. Etc. Both are correct, just that they are pronounced differently. If you want to be sure you can use the simplified Chinese pronouncation used in han yu ping yin, eg Feng1 Shui3 (not any dialect form of it.). Could you please settle a debate for me? Where is the proper placement for water features in periods 8 & 9, keeping in mind the Direct and Indirect spirits as well as the current Wang and Sheng Chi water stars? Thank you, Shaunna

Dear Stella, 1. If you are refering to The Eight House Theory or East/West Group of persons, then here are the steps to better understand the theory:- 1.1 What is the purpose of this theory? 1.2 What is the strength and weakness of this theory. In several of the recent forum messages, I have touched on Para 1.1 and 1.2 on this theory. 2. Overall, this theory simply implies that: For one to benefit from it: One has to spent more time at this location. Thus, it usually applies more (so) if we are looking or house hunting and finding out which house is more suitable for us and in particular what intangible influence it has at locations where we spent time at e.g. the bedroo…

Dear George, Please note that this general assessment is strictly based on Shapes and Forms with no reference to personal ba zi (date/time of birth). 1. One good thing about this layout is that the toilets are at `safe' positions (sharing an external wall) - therefore, they cannot be at the centrepoint. 2. The `major' dislike is the staircase at the centrepoint. But, this is not a major problem - more of an irritation. 3. I like the layout of this staircase:- http://www.newurbanist.com/ac2110.htm BUT not the layout of the toilet i.e. the bath-tub at ground floor is close to the centrepoint and the second storey (level) bath-tub is equally not well placed. 4. The stove fac…

Dear Mr. Lee, If for the male in a house the ideal property is for the door to face southwest and for the female of the house it would be for the door to face northeast then is a property that faces east a problem? If it is then what if the main door used to enter or exit was in fact facing north? Another question is what if anything is symbolized or caused by having a church across the street?

Dear Madi, In my opinion, this is a Shapes and Form weakness. Equally important, is that the property should not be `entrapped' i.e. surrounded by taller buildings on all sides and particularly where they are at higher ground. It is a site feature and very little one can do here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Good day Master Lee, I would appreciate greatly if you can advice if this property is inauspicious. My first impression of this property is that it is on a corner + at the entrance of the cul de sac, and the land has a trapezium shape, which maybe unfavorable in terms of fengshui. Thank you.

Edited by Robert: No promises that such questions will be replied as usually reviewing if a unit is good or not is beyond a free advise. It falls more under a House Hunting Can or Cannot Buy Review. Appreciate your help in analysing this high-floor unit at the Citylights. Is it a good buy? Thanks for your help in

Dear Max, Yes, with proper soil analysis and soil management especially drainage and structurally sound retaining walls, houses built as you had mentioned can be auspicious. Many a times, some of the various reasons below compounded by weather may cause landslides: 1. In many instances, too many houses were built on these hills providing downward pressure on the hill. This is less of an issue if there are no heavy downpours. But if there are heavy downpours, coupled by poor retaining walls or vegetation.. a landslide may be eminent. 2. Ideally, the best hills are those of limestones (hard rocks). Warmest Regards, Cecil
