Dear Lorene, It is best to have the bed in good Shapes and Form positions (first). Under the Eight House Theory, one should sleep closer to one's best sector. Or use one partner as a `shield'. For example, if the husband's sector is health at the west while the wife's is irritation (west); then let the husband sleep closer to WEST and wife sleep further away. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The best bet is always to (first) try and find a house that has relatively good external and internal shapes and forms. After this, try to see if the house can fit the breadwinner. Frankly, how I wish I can give you a one line reply but (unfortunately) this is impossible. More importantly try to realislistically understand and take notes on these following schools: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; (VERY IMPT) 2. Ba Zi (Pillars) 3. Compass Schools: 3.1 Eight House (VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND APPLY) 3.2 Flying Star (NICE TO KNOW) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Deidre, If your daughter is frequently getting injured or sickness, most likely if a Flying Star chart is done, there should usually be bad #numbers such as #2 or #5 in your daughter's bedroom. Please see below:- Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Arturo, As much as we like to sleep in good positions, however, if there is no way in which we can sleep in a better direction, then really no choice. Another consideration is that the first priority is that we should place our bed in a good Shapes and Form position. For example, the bed should preferably be against a wall. Where possible, the bed should not be on the same wall as bedroom door. These are some of the `first priorities'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sumita, Frankly, there are so many considerations in Feng Shui besides the NE main door. It is difficult for me to put it down in one forum message. The clue here is to: "Try and maximize your marks, in all areas - where you can." Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, placing too many wind chimes can indeed be an "over-kill" especially if one uses the light weight alluminium type of wind chime. For those using the much heavier copper (hollow rod) with an I-ching coin clinger, this type, in my opinion, makes almost few or no sound at all. (Even in heavy winds). Perhaps, some of these, (for decoration) is not an "over-kill" since they are (nearly totally ineffective in making large sounds). Why not consider planting plants or shrubs on the fence or use "day" curtains. Both are equally acceptable. "If it is not seen, it no longer becomes a threat:)" Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marie, Apologies for the delay in reply. Usually, I ponder over questions ... especially if I am unsure about how to reply. If you can have a sketch of the layout it would be of great help. This is because, I feel that the placement of the bed based on good interior shapes and form should outweigh that of placement to benefit the person. For example, where possible, the bed should be placed on the opposite wall of the bedroom door. In addition, it should not be placed on the same wall as the toilet area. After considering the above main considerations and some other factors, then, it would be " nice to have " the bed and how one sleeps, face the directions, you have…

Dear Angela, In my opinion, it would be best if you want to apply Feng Shui to get a FS practitioner to go thru all the details. As the modification may affect i.e. the Shapes and Form of the home (itself) and Compass School readings. If you do not want to engage a FS practitioner, you can try to make sure of the following:- 1. Shapes and form Feng Shui. Here, you made a good point by trying to make sure that the house is as rectangular as possible. 2. Outline of the house. Does the house resemble any "human body" shape? If you have not read this article, please go thru it:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/grandpa1.htm It highlighst an actual case study: House influenced by Fe…

Dear Lee, 1. Thank you for your effort in scanning and providing the relevant details. 2. It is thru, the proper details provided e.g. scanned image that makes it easy for me to provide the relevant advise. 3. As for the significance of either `protusions' or `missing corners' please refer to this URL:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-building.htm 4. The ruleset here is that a `protusion' or `missing corner' is one where a sector has either a protrusion or missing corner equal to or exceeding 33.3 percent of the area of that particular sector. 5. Thus a sector is defined as: based on the layout plan, equally divide the floor plan into 9 equal sectors. 6. If…

Hi, You can make use of the Free Auspicious Dates for Entire Month in the Members Area to assist you. This is very personalised to your Ba Zi and Tong Shu dates to give you the most suitable dates. Alternatively, you can also choose common general dates such as 1 and 15 of lunar month. Or For a Rabbit, avoid days which is Rooster (you), Rat (zi), Tiger (yin) days. These days usually clashes with Rabbit. For a Rabbit, usually day such as Goat, Dog, Dragon and Pig are good dates for a Rabbit. For a more personalised analyse use the Auspicious Dates for the Month. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Leanora, I belive you are only doing a FS audit of your apartment. From my past experience, if you are just looking at your individual unit, it is best to take the reading to the main entrance door of your apartment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kesaven, Please see below:- I am glad that you find the forum useful. I have always keep the forum messages "alive" since this forum program captured all the messages as far back as 6-7 years ago. And will continue to make the resources freely available to everyone wanting to understand as much as they can. I therefore, appeal to all users to make an effort to use the SEARCH feature in this forum. It is not like searching thru, tons of paper. But rather, for those who have rather lazy or fat fingers, should excercise them! No point have a shapely body figure but fingers are so...so fat! Not proportionate to size. 1. Study the various probable facing directi…

Dear Sophia, Frankly, the Eight House theory has it's limitations. This is because often once we have already bought the home (a fully completed home), we are not able change the interior of the home such as the toilets or major wall structures. It is best therefore that for a completed home, it is good to try to apply the Flying Star Theory to check for any imbalances and correct them. As to flying to Period 8 and the many ways of doing so without a major renovation, please do a SEARCH in this forum for this topic since it has been extensively covered especially in the beginning of this year if one does not want to do a major renovation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wendy, 1. In my opinion, it is too general to say that since the door is at SW, we should paint it according to the colour. 2. In THEORY or technically speaking, you can do that. 3. But the question here is what do one try to achieve? 4. In many questions asked, Thank God!, that nowadays, many users no longer ask me this one line question like: Where is my wealth sector? Which I do not reply to at all. 5. This is very relevant to the above question. If we use the Five Elements concept to explain wealth. 6. Under the Five Elements concept, wealth is created using the Destructive Cycle:- Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Where und…

Dear Abhijit, In general, fish tank should be placed against a wall. Usually, I believe, the fish tank that has been placed at north is meant more as a hobby piece. Rather than for Feng Shui purpose. Without much more investigations (e.g. using the various methods especially, the Flying Star Feng Shui, therefore, one can only say that it is ok, since you may have it there for sometime already. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Apollo, There are many issues that you will need to check before you can determine what's wrong. Just basing on the animal sign will not be able to tell you anything. ie a. Whether it is your heaven luck entering a bad year b. The house you shift in maybe not suitable c. Or simply have bad house feng shui which adversely impact you, etc. You should make use of the numerous free tools on the website to help determine where is the cause of the problems or leaks. Only when you know what is causing it will it be easy to fix. 2. However, based on what you have provided, since you say after moving to UK, I do presume you actually have a change in house etc. So this is mos…

Dear Alan, Thank for your description of the situation. 1. Try to see if you can apply (if possible) this concept: " If it no longer can be seen, it will no longer be a threat ". 2. At the balcony, day curtains would be useful (for brightness). Or, reflective sun-X protection on glass panels (especially) on sliding panels or windows that you do not often open. 3. Since the protusion is of the Metal element, Red (fire element) can be used to `control' it (only). 4. If you or your family are Christians or Catholics, if the sha qi is distinct, then use a flat circular mirror above the balcony and/or the main door. As both the balcony (considered as the frontage) and the ma…

1. Usually weak metal(s) #7 can be neutralised by water element. 2. Do take note that if that sector has a #3 (bad wood) in combination with #7 then, it would not be adviceable to use water in that sector. As water will further fuels bad wood #3. (#3 is quarrels, conflicts, scandals, lawsuits) 3. Thus usually if the sector has the #3, water would be worse. This may explain why someone may try to use earth, perhaps, that person felt it is better to disarm bad wood with earth.

Dear Jennifer, Since the basement apartment is at the back of the home. What is the view like from this back of the house? Most likely, the facing direction of your apartment is either facing the front of the house (if it is blocked by it) then most likely it could be the back as the facing direction. Or, in your basement apartment, are there windows? In particular, if there is a window in the apartment and it has a very nice view, then, this could instead be the facing direction. In my opinion, the most misunderstood issue on the bagua mirror is that one should not simply place it. As mentioned by many western Feng Shui sites or Feng Shui shops. Many of the western …

Dear Anon, 1. The test for a real treat is : for us to stand inside of our house - Main door and windows and look out directly. If we do not see a threat slicing straight into our house, this is normally not a threat. 2. However, if it is an angle of a house and it `cuts' into our house, this is considered a threat. 3. For office buildings, reflective glass can be considered as a threat, since it reflects or deflect light. 4. For the home, a threat can seeminly come from the walls of another house. For example, if the afternoon sun, shines onto this wall, and from our window, we get a really bad reflective glare, this can be considered as deflected, sha qi. A simple solut…

Dear Steven, Firstly, Congratulations! On your new home! 1. As many of us are aware, Flying Star Feng Shui comes under two forms:- 1.1 Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui This is often called the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui. And of course, there is also the Yearly, Monthly, Daily and even hourly Flying Star FS. 1.2 Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui This is the Apartment Number Flying Star Feng Shui. And the influence, here is also based on variables like: a. What period the home was built? b. What floor or storey is the unit located. Therefore, the rationale why, there is a difference in the Vertical (House / apartment no. interpretation has to do with not only the combined 8…

Dear Patrick, It is good if you can provide a sketch - to take a look. This is because, if you managed to go thru past resources on this forum, you can see examples of homes at culdesac that are good or bad depending on where the home(s) are situated. Warmest Regards, Cecil The Kindly Many thanks! -Pat

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: In my "Summary of 10-yearly Luck", it shows that I have wealth luck from 38 to 67 years old, i.e. from year 2001 to 2030. How can I enhance or improve my wealth luck during these years? 10-year are considered big luck. If generally it favours you, it means that whatever you do during that period is likely to succeed because luck is with you. Basically, to improve any luck whether it is 10-year, 5-year, year of month luck, it is all the same. You based on your birth element, ie weak wood, then it means you need lots of Water and Wood to make your weak wood stronger and avoid metal and fire. So the more favourable elements you have the more likel…
