Dear Anon, Happy New Year to you! Please see below:- This common denominator can be related in many of the concepts - in particular i.e. ' Flying Star Feng Shui and Pillars of Destiny. There are many Feng Shui practitioners and in my opinion, I feel that some of these practitioners may not `live' up to the standard. Thus, the end result is that many people become disillushioned with it. In addition, I personally feel that many people are also to be blamed. The rationale is unfortunately " greed ". I can understand money is important but, when we depart our hard-earned money to buy or enhance a sector, this can become worrisome. Or to buy e.g. a three-legged toad. For…

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: According to the house hunting report for P8, both E1 and W2/3 have double 8s at the front door facing, but E1 is better suited for me than W2/3 house. This tells me that from a front door facing fengshui standpoint, the bazi element is more important than the 8-house suitability. Am I correct? Actually, flying star analysis of the main door will be most important in the house hunting, followed by Ba Zi, than followed by Eight House. Reason being is that Eight House is based on YEAR of birth, whereas ba zi uses even time of birth to analyse. Often, it is ideal to get a direction which both Eight House and Ba Zi element are favourable. F…

Dear Edwin, edwin tay wrote: from my bazi overview summary, it says that my favorable career are from wood and water, but from my bazi-career page, it says my wealth career is earth while power career is metal. There are 3 types of career classification. 1. Career with Wealth 2. Career with Power and Authority 3.Suitable Career based on your favourable elements. Career with Wealth/Power and Authority isn't always favourable to everyone, especially for weak element person as their element not strong enough to control the wealth. It does not mean that you cannot venture into these career, just that in order to do so you need first strengthen your weak element. Often …

Dear Sylvia, Please see below:- Frankly, since your home is a NW3 home, it is better to remain as a NW3 Period 7 home. As it is still able to tap on the auspicious Pearl String effect of such a period 7 home. Although, this is not the best or ideal situation, it is better to face the "devil's advocate" if your home were to "fly" into Period 8. Given that, there will be more problems or less than ideal condition for your home to be under Period 8. The most yang part of a home need not necessarily mean that one must have a main entrance, here. Given, this senario, usually, the location where there are most windows. For trees everywhere, this is not a major issue, …

Dear Cindi, 1. Yes, in my opinion, one can certainly have a single mattress i.e. and keep it away daily the next morning. 2. This is secondary to Feng Shui and I feel that this is a practical approach in the use of limited space within the home. 3. I have heard that some FS practitioners are (quite) concerned with sleeping on a single mattress (within a bed post). As some of these FS practitioners (feel) that a bed should be `raised' so that Qi can flow under the bed. In my opinion, this is again of secondary or not as important as other FS concepts or theories. For example, it is more crucial to check for poison arrow(s) aimed towards a home or thru the windows. Warmest…

Dear Cecil or Robert: I'm house hunting. The period-7 house I saw today has the front door located in the SW1sector which is my best direction according to the house hunting report (moutain 7, water 7, base 4). It has two levels. 1) The center of the house on the main floor has clear space. But right below it on the lower level is the utility room (where the hot water tank, furnace etc... are located). Is this good or bad? 2) Right below the front door is the bathroom (on the lower level). I know the bathroom above the front door is bad, but what about below the front door? Is that bad also? 3) The master bedroom is in the East sector which is my death direction accor…

Dear Anon, It will be better if you try to solve one problem at a time instead of concentrating on everything. If you breakdown all your problems and search for answer. You will find all the answers on the forum. anon

Dear Ryan, Under Feng Shui, there is a concept which I termed the 33.3% ruleset. Under this concept, anything not larger than 33.3 percent normally would not pose any effect on the surrounding. For example, of a `missing corner' in a building. It has to be 33.3 percent `missing' from the sector of the house. This is why, usually when we paint the wall, and if we paint quite a large area of a room it would normally exceed 33.3 percent. In the same parallel, the little turtles would usually not have any effect. Therefore, place it somewhere both you and your girlfriend feels comfortable with. (Other than the bedroom). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, Frankly, you will need to identify what are the key problems with your life. Only then can you will you have the knowledge to attempt to improve your life. As I keep mentioning in the forum, a person has to review all his Heaven, Earth & Human luck. You need to see whether your problem arises from say your Heaven Luck (maybe you are in a very bad luck period this year). Or is it due to your home maybe having very bad feng shui or some illness or misfortune star etc. My best guess is that you either have one or both the problems in your Heaven Luck as well as Earth Luck. Plus a little bit of Human Luck (ie worrying too much). Sometimes, all these bad thin…

Dear Brandi, Feng Shui is not a mircle cure all. In your case, you should go for medical science iemedical nicotine patch and family pressure etc. These will work much better in this case. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Alenac Chua, Alenac Chua wrote: I could not understand what you are getting at based on the compass reading of pointing to the centre of the main door in your column of how to read the compass of 15 degrees differential. Can you give us a simple example.tks Eight House divides the house into 8 sector so each sector is 45 degree. So North for example is 337.4 to 22.4 degree. Flying Star sub-divides the sector into 24 sectors, so each sector ie North (45 degree) is sub divided into 3 sub-sector (ie North 1 - 337.4-352.4, North 2 - 353.5-7.4, North 3 - 7.5-22.4). When applying either flying star or eight house, we divide the house into usually 8 sectors. For getting…

1 Considering the various forms of luck; ba zi is only 1/3 out of the Holy Trinity of luck. 2. Where ba zi is only about born with; and itis just a snapshot of when we were born. There are several escape clauses to it: education, influence from family, friends etc.. 3. For the home, it is still very riskly to consider just onhomes with earth directions, as there are many many more influences on a home.

Dear Anon, From my personal experience, it is not good to hang a wind chime with various `elements'. For example, it is still better to hang a wind chime that has no more than two elements: Example: A wind chime that has a wood clinger and a wooden `roof' combined with say hollow alluminium/metal rods is still OK. But as you had described, the wind chime that may have several elements e.g. silvery green, if dolphins are blue etc... This year, for a period 7 house, North seems a pretty bad location for most homes. Given this situation, a wind chime at North (can still be considered) unless, one has a huge open field and close to a `dirty' temple. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Ng, 1. Based on the information provided, I have prepared a Flying Star (Xuan Kong) chart for your home. 2. These are my findings: 2.1 In addition to what was mentioned earlier, the Flying Star chart for your home also shows another “leak” related to the time dimension. 2.2 Under your current Period 7 Flying Star chart, you have a mountain star #5 at the front of your home. This is associated with loss of money and misfortune. 2.3 Based on this Period 7 chart, it is not advisable to activate any water features in your living room or balcony area, as most of the recommended cures for this home are not from the water element. 3. For your hom…

Frankly, the ideal choice (if possible) is "If it ain't "broken" don't fix it". If unsure, should always keep it as it is even if it has become greyish i.e. Do nothing.... is the best!

Dear Anonymous, Anonymous wrote: Our master bedroom window is facing a stair straight down. I presume there will be a door into the bedroom between the stairs and the window? If so, just keep the dor close when not in use. Anonymous wrote: Is is bad luck toput our bed (with our feet facing) on the same direction? Firstly, it is not ideal to have the bed placed behind a window. Secondly, the bed shouldnot be placed where it faces the door. As this meansa coffin position which is bad. I am not sure if this is going to be the type of layout, if so it is really bad luck to put the bed in this position and should be avoided. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee …

Dear Masters Cecil & Robert Lee, Re: your 2008 forecast, noticed that under all animal signs, those with weak water or other weak elements would have to watch out as the year may be unfavourable. You did mention that this is a very general outlook, but wanted to know that if for e.g., one is weak water, can one strengthen the water element thru' colours, etc. to make it stronger and thereby have a better year? Please do give your valuable insights. Wishing you both and your families a very peaceful, prosperous, blessed and joyous New Year! Many thanks!

Dear Madan, Grateful if you can elaborate further on: 1. Please check what is the inauspicious intangible force at the bedroom. 2. Is the room close to two sectors e.g. such as North and NE or North and NW or is it only located at the North. 3. Please take note that under the Eight House Theory, one should be more concern if one spents most of the time at the location. Rather than if the location is an inauspicious sector. For example, if it is the disaster location and you are sleeping away from it and closer to a less inauspicious sector or an auspicious sector. This is ok. The Eight House works mostly on the priciple that it has to be `activated' by the individual or …
