1. Frankly, this is considered as "superficial" and highly unlikely to change to a new period. 2. Take note of the most conservative thoughts:- 2.1 Honestly, some very conservative Feng Shui practitioners today, even do mention that without uprooting the entire home, to them the home is still but belonging to that period. 2.2 Here, the super conservative FS practitioners believe that even major A and A (Alterations and Amendments) may not change as they believe that as long as the foundation is left untouched, to them it is still felt to be under the previous Period. 2.3 To them, a total change of qi is where the whole home inclusive of the foundations NEED to be "u…

Dear Cecil, My father is considering to replace our main door due to its bad condition. In one of your messages, you said it should not be moved. So, what is the solution if we really want to replace it? Thanks in advance. Regards, Wasis

Dear Anon, In my opinion, this is considered a minor renovation and from my personal experience; I feel that (or strongly feel) that there is no change in the period of the house. Especially more so, if the house was built under Period 7 i.e. 1984 to 2003. And during this period, if a house was built anytime after 1984, it does not matter if renovation has been carried out many times from 1984 to 2002. The house will always remain a Period 7 house. Warmest Regards Cecil

Dear Steven, Steve S. wrote: I help my friend generated a report and saw that his life is bad, from luck against him and wealth against him... but he is prosperous and living a carefree life. I don't understand. Can you explain? Firstly, you need to understand two things here:- 1) Free report only shows you a person's big luck. There can only be 3 conclusion from this info. Basically, whether you are a person that:- a)enjoy life earlier than suffer later. b) suffer first than enjoy life later. c)mix, whereby there will be atleast a 30-year rangein the middle of your life where luck is with you oragainst you. Soit does not really mean that a person with luck against…

Dear Anon, 1. In the past, a butcher is a butcher, a merchant is a merchant. And job analysis is pretty easy to define. 2. For example in the past, a Chinese book-keeper involving in the counting of money e.g. metal coins can be considered under the profession of an accounting career. Thus, since, he or she is involved in money (coins) then, his/her career is associated with metal. 3. Nowadays, many of us are involved in multi-skilling i.e. we may not necessarily do one job but have various job-skills. 4. In general, we can classify the industry that you are in (Finance) as in the Metal element. But, a planner be it a finance planner or other planners is involved in "…

These are some considerations: 1. Yes:a. Logo Colors: White and Gold andb. Logo Shape: Roundmay be considered for your company logo. 2. As to "be good business partners" 2.1. One has to understand that the Chinese Holy Trinity of luck consists of 3 types of luck: 2.1.1 Heaven Luck (Born with) 2.1.2 Earth Luck (Earth luck) 2.1.3 Human or Man Luck (Relationship) 2.2. Each of the above comprise 33.3% each of the total luck = 100% 2.2 Your ba zi elements: Strong Earth and Strong Woodwere derived from your Heaven Luck. In general, the partner who is a Wood element would especially benefit from this relationship as Wood gets it's nourishment from the Earth (Strong Earth partner…

A Flying Star Period 6 flatthat is based on a simple curve design. In the past, this design was common in HDB flats all over many parts of Singapore. However, as this designdoes not maximize the builtup area of the plot of land; hard to find this rather simplistic design where there is one long corridor to all the flats. Nowadays, there would be flats built "left-to right" of the corridor.

Dear Debbie, Unfortunately, there are few books on History of Feng Shui:- 1. Dr Evelyn Lip For history, one of the few books are written by Dr Evelyn Lip. So far, she has written three books. You can try to find it out e.g. in the library or do a search at amazon.com 2. Dr Ong-Hean Tatt He wrote a good book on Feng Shui. See below ? For the serious reader or researcher who wants evidence that Feng Shui is for real! You can also check out:- Doctor Stephen Field's FengShui Gate You must visit this site especially if you are doing research on the origins of fengshui. These are some considerations: 1. This East/West person is just the tip of the iceberg. 2. Thus there are even greater mass below the waterline. 3. For example: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and even Flying star. And yet, these are not considered as yet;how then can you prematurely claim or cry wolf. 4. Often, it takes three or more major leaks or imperfections to cause a calamity; and most or majority of homes are not a bad that you seem to thing. 5. Thus without a TRIAGE how the hell do you know the situation.

Casanova W. wrote: Any idea why Resorts World sentosa will be open on 14 Feb 2010 at 12.18pm. Was it really a auspicious hour or just because of Cantonese saying "striking prosperity" which would bring good luck. Yes, you are absolutely correct! It has to do with the phonetic sound like "Cantonese word". Usually .18 or even .19 or .38 or 39 is chosen after the suitable time of the"Boss" has been choosen. For example; his best time on that day is between 11am to 1pm. For first-time open door procedure(s); usually .38 or .39 is preferred. As 3 in mandarin means UP and "mountain". And the "8" prosperity and "9" mandarin for longevity. Many in Singapore bid for either lo…

Dear Master Cecil, We have just opened a restaurant with the facing direction North that is good for us. Our food has very good review and feedback. However many people find it difficult to find our restaurant even when they walked passed right in-front of the restaurant. We don't think it is the design of the entrance since it is full glass and with food menu on the glass panels. Someone mentioned it could be caused by the Green colored L-wall facing the entrance on the NE corner next to the entrance. If Green is the problem here we wonder if it will better if we painted it White or Beige. Thank you Master in advance for your advise. brgds Lee

1. You can check out this link as to how others may apply their ba zi analysis. And how some maydiffer from this site:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= As far as we are concerned, we have adopted the best and consistent practises. Even some sites, got it wrong earlier... have revised and followed our methods. 2. Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no hard-and-fast rule, here. So long as the object is still in good or reasonable condition, they can always be reused at another location. No issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Frankly, it is difficult to change the external factors, since majority or all the time, we do not have control over this. It is not like, one can get the dragon side to be higher than what it is or the tiger side -- lower. This is not just possible. Thus, you have to consider maximizing the FengShui of your home by other means i.e. improve other areas of your home, instead.

Dear Pedro, Currently, there are quite alot books on Feng Shui. I have not heard of Richard Webster. It is great to hear that you found his books good reading for beginners. This would be of help to users in this forum wanting to buy one for the beginners. Generally, Feng Shui books can be classified as under:- 1. A Feng Shui Master or his student writting books on " Traditional Feng Shui practise " especially those whose Master had originated from Taiwan or HongKong, and the Asia Pacific and even from Canada (where HongKong residents migrated there). 2. Books written not by Chinese Masters but overseas e.g. not of Chinese origin: a. Some of these authors who are influenc…
