Dear Anon, In my opinion, this is considered a minor renovation and from my personal experience; I feel that (or strongly feel) that there is no change in the period of the house. Especially more so, if the house was built under Period 7 i.e. 1984 to 2003. And during this period, if a house was built anytime after 1984, it does not matter if renovation has been carried out many times from 1984 to 2002. The house will always remain a Period 7 house. A Flying Star Period 6 flatthat is based on a simple curve design. In the past, this design was common in HDB flats all over many parts of Singapore. However, as this designdoes not maximize the builtup area of the plot of land; hard to find this rather simplistic design where there is one long corridor to all the flats. Dear Master Cecil, We have just opened a restaurant with the facing direction North that is good for us. Our food has very good review and feedback. However many people find it difficult to find our restaurant even when they walked passed right in-front of the restaurant. We don't think it is the design of the entrance since it is full glass and with food menu on the glass panels. Someone mentioned it could be caused by the Green colored L-wall facing the entrance on the NE corner next to the entrance. Frankly, it is difficult to change the external factors, since majority or all the time, we do not have control over this. It is not like, one can get the dragon side to be higher than what it is or the tiger side -- lower. This is not just possible. Thus, you have to consider maximizing the FengShui of your home by other means i.e. improve other areas of your home, instead.
