Dear Chee Siong, 1. In my opinion, it is best in your case to get a Feng Shui audit done to check thoroughly on the house. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui is a powerful tool that can help locate sectors that may be too yin. 3. The Chinese Luopan is a good detector. 4. Under Shapes and Form Feng Shui, sectors of concern are usually NE and SW. In particular especially if the main entrance is either at the NE or SW sectors. Certain missing sectors need to be further looked at. 5. After visiting a location and falling sick is a coincidence that this needs to be looked at closely/investigated. 6. Normally, if there are any activities (if any) human activity would create a Yang force …

Dear Tammie, Frankly, if anyone ask me 5 or 6 years ago, I may think that way i.e. what you had mentioned. But since then, I have looked at many homes and do not see a correlation that a noisy place drives off fortune. However, contrary to this, under Flying Star Feng Shui, if a location has a combination of two specific bad #numbers that needs quiet at a location, then, what you mentioned, holds true. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Michele, In Feng Shui, it is not favoured to have too many pipes running below the house for two main reasons:- 1. Having too much water or `water running' especially at the floor area is not ideal. As water is considered `difficulty'. 2. This point has to do more with commonsense approach:- `Wear and Tear' - since pipes often expand and contract, there are often known cases of some of these pipes that perhaps due to poor quality control or wear and tear. I heard of some homes (not sure if they are true) that often have leaks. In fact, in the past, one or two of the members had mentioned this. Para 1, has more to do with 2. If the pipes do not leak or water condense …

Dear Ian, Can u elaborate further as to the two doors. Are they the main entrance or two doors within a main entrance area. Usually, one will not be too concerned with the effect of the two doors unless, one is trying to determine which door to apply as the main entrance when applying the Flying Star Theory of the compass school Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, This isa common situation for most people. However, this isn't the end of the world. 1. What you should be doing is to ensure that the house should suit the breadwinner (your husband). This is because the breadwinner provides for the family, so making sure that the breadwinner fits and suits is most important. 2. So for the bedroom you (the spouse) should then have a higher priority for a suitable bedroom while your husband can have a less suitable bedroom. Also, if possible not to have Death and Disaster if possible. This is how you give and take. Breadwinner takes priority for the main door facing, while the spouse will take better suitability to the bedro…

Dear Eva, The least confusing way to go about it is to locate the centrepoint of your house. If you need to you can scan or even fax to us at: 065-64822057 so that we can find out the centrepoint for you. From the centrepoint, you can use an ordinary compass to locate where all your room locations are. For example, if the compass North points to your bedroom, then your bedroom is at North. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, In terms of the two dates, 3 May is better. Though, it is not the best dates but at least it is not as inauspicious as the 30th April 30 which both person are inauspicious. There are other better dates such as 8 May 2003 than the 3 May. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Marjorie, 1. For those who are family with fixed template models with characteristis such as Fame / Travel etc... 2. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui sites like this does not use such `Ba gua models'. 3. For those who are new, can check out some of the older links:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm 4. This link helps you when you are using an ordinary compass:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 5. Overall, it is very difficult to comment on just a few general sentences. But, in general, a water position directly behind the house usually services as a `handicap' or a single leak. 6. If there are more `leaks' in the home, then, it usually p…

Hi Anon, In terms of beams, ideally it is best not to be able to see it if possible. Anonymous wrote: We have just finished building our dream house, actually its a loghouse so the problem is we have big beams over our beds and in the living room area, also we have a big log postsupporting the secondfloorareain the middle of the living room. So usually, two most efficient ways to go about it is to either have a false ceiling which will hide the beams. Or to have a bed with those canopy beds which you can place like curtain or cover on top. That should help you shield the beams from your view when you are sleeping on the bed. These two are two more practical ways rather…

Dear Michele, The key success factor here are: 1. Feng Shui or Earth Luck It is best to harmonize the bedroom to suit one's Ba Zi. For a married couple then go for the `binding' element (Do a SEARCH in this forum for the term: binding ) 2. What is Metal element: Metal element is white or gold. On a personal level, this can be the clothing or object e.g. some gold items e.g. jewellery or a chain. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Surinder, In my opinion, your question is too general since you had only mentioned about your main door = NE. Perhaps, the most logical way is to see if you can apply both Shapes & Forms as well as Compass School Feng Shui to make sense of your current situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil Surinder Singh

Dear Susan, In my opinion, based on what you have mentioned, it would be best in the long term to try to change home. The rationale is because, there are as you have mentioned, quite alot of problems relating to Shapes and Form and some compass school issues. For the short-term, since you are aware of some of the FS problems, you can try to see if can reduce or neutralise some of the effects. For example, you mentioned water behind the house. If the water is within your home and not a swimming pool; is it possible to drain the water. Or if the water is external to your home, are there sufficient plants to shield the house from it. For poison arrows or pointed objects in t…

Dear Anon, The Finding A Good House report has three dimensions: 1. Breadwinner's Eight House (East/West group) or Gua analysis 2. The specific Flying Star chart of an apartment. 3. Ba Zi of the breadwinner. Here are some important considerations: 1. Where possible, the ideal `house' or main door is where: in all three cases: Best choice is where all the above THREE CRITERIAS (Para 1, 2 and 3) is auspicious to the breadwinner. 2. What happens if it does not? Then, it is best to use this advice: 1. Eight House Analysis 1.1 DEATH OR DISASTER AT MAIN ENTRANCE? 1.1.1 Where possible, the main door SHOULD not be the DEATH or DISASTER to the breadwinner. 1.1.2 If so, this is al…

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, there is no impact on your home especially if it is an ancient or old site. 2. So long as it is not a location of mass masacare or tragedy; there is relative of no concern. 3. On the safe side, if your building is e.g. red brickwalls, this is considered most yang and is one of the `safeguards'. Alternatively, consideration is for painting the exterior of the main door (if it is facing that direction) red. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jen, 1. The worst location to touch or disturb from 1 February 2003 (1st day of Lunar New Year) is South at 220 degrees. 2. This direction is where the Grand Duke of Jupiter is suppose to be sitting. And it is very inauspicious to disturb or touch him. It may bring several years of bad luck. 3. The 3-Killings location The 3 killings location is directly opposite the grand duke location. Therefore if Grand Duke is sitting at 220 degrees, than this coming Goat year 2003, the 3-killings is located at 40 degrees. Please see below:- Note: True magnetic compass direction at 40 degrees. Here, do not do any renovations. No. Traditional Feng Shui Compass School uses …

Dear Stan, Frankly, I believe many people would agree with me that we should use the words " It depends". This is because, in Singapore, there are all sorts of "failures": For example: 1. Some people are greedy and dabble into stocks and shares beyond their means. (Not all, but some) 2. Some Singaporeans, go into "silly" businesses or unimaginative business. For example: into bubble tea business or business that they think will work - but often, cannot. 3. Singapore is such a tiny country. With a small market share. And I believe there was some report that a large percentage of business failure in Singapore due in part to this small market and other factors e.g. hig…

Dear David, Basically, you cannot just choose which period is better and take that analysis. The period is there for a purpose. You need to specify which period the house was built. And that will give you the analysis for the house number. What you need to remember here is that a house number is supposed to help you to see which unit is better. This is especially for units of the same layout plan but located on different levels. It does nothing more than this. The results of the analysis isn't very important as it is there only to show how good or bad the analysis is. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee Geomancy.Net - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Xtine, Lava which has been cooled, should in my opinion not be considered any longer as `Fire element'. This is similiar to other materials that had cooled down. For example, ceramics which has been `fired' in a kiln, has cooled down. Ceramics is in my opinion considered as earth element. The lava you spoke off, should be considered (in my opinion) earth element also. However, if it contains a high percentage of metal or metal oxide, then it could be considered as the metal element. Another interesting to note is that even if it is considered as the earth element; in the past Chinese geology, each grain is inspected to find out what is the actual element. Example, i…

Dear Danny, Please see below:- It is preferred that the master bedroom is a rectangular shape (without odd corners or extension). This is especially so for a newly married couple. Since you have a son, there could be other underlining reasons. Often, the Flying Star Feng Shui is used to diagnose sectors that have bad #3 and #4 wood elements which are associated with quarrels and disputes. This is one direction, that you may consider pursuing. Most probably, some of the bad stars had flew into especially the fish (tank) location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cindy, 1. Most of us would love to hear that each of us have a specific "wealth area" in our home. 2. Sometimes, this can work `against us' for the benefit of those who sell products. 3. In true traditional Feng Shui, `wealth' can be looked at as follows:- 3.1 In our ba zi, e.g. terms like "auspicious wealth" luck period often means either having children or if it is found in our later luck periods e.g. 50's or 60's then it is most likely; grand children. 3.2 This is because in the past, China was an agricultural society. And it is said that the more "hands" the better to help toil the soil or plant the seeds plus harvest. 3.3 Today, our wealth under ba zi is still o…

Dear Cecil, Last Friday I visited a photocopy shop. The business is good. They have many clients. As I noticed carefully, just opposite the main door, there are electricity pole and one huge tree. Then I went outside to look at the shop. It has a two-step semi circular radiating out step. In fact, the whole frontage of the shop (3 story-building) has the shape of semi-circular radiating out. One thing I am still wondering is one fruitseller shop in my city. The business is very very good. There are streets in the front, left side and behind. Just opposite the main door (10-20 meters away) there is a big electricity pole. I don't see any ba gua mirrror or semi-circular ste…

Dear Anon, I believe the idea has to do with the numerology based on Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, when we were at the period 1984 to 2003, based on the Flying Star numerology; #7 is suppose to be our Current wealth in that period (thus is suppose to be very auspicious under that period). while #8 at the time is suppose to be the Future wealth period. (again for 1984 to 2003.) while #9 is the future, future wealth prosperity. Also auspicious Actually, all these have to do more with the interpretation of the Luo Shu grid or flying stars in relation to especially the numerology of a home / apartment or office. But can one recall that in the past (1984 to 2003) …
