The main idea is to have good ventilation. So long as the plant does not inadvertently block the qi, this is fine or Ok. I would prefer say a fan vs this plant thing. (Not sure what is the weather like, thou) Anonymous wrote: Thank you so much for the logic, detail explanation, we will move the bed to the side of the window per your suggestion. Wewill also invest the carbon monoxide issue. Besides, if we put a plant outside of the bedroom, will it help? Thanks

Dear Vijay, Based on a simple chart, yes, North = water element. But this does not exactly or literally mean that adding water there is the best choice. You should be able to find a correct perspective, by going thru some of the most recent forum messages. Try to do a SEARCH for e.g. Water etc.. No two situations are similar. For example, try to do a SEARCH in this forum for Rivervale Crest No it does not. As you are a new member of this forum, it would be good if you do try to do some homework e.g. use the SEARCH feature to find out more of any topics you are interested in. For example search for: WATER FOUNTAIN As much as we all like to find out things f…

Hi Cecil, We have moved into the house 6 months ago and are intending to install grills and windows at our backyard, which is in the North sector of the house (if i divide my floor plan with 9 grids). Is it not advisable to do so? If we really have to do it, what do we need to take note of? Just select an auspicious date based on our ba zi and do the "dong tu" knock wall procedure? Thanks much, Jo

Dear Alvin, Alvin Low wrote: Hello. You mentioned hanging the six coins. Is it OK to just place the six coins on the table in a bag/container in the appropriate location? Actually, the coins should either be arranged in a straight row tied wth red string or placed on like red packet paper. Red is Fire, 6 Coins is Metal and the square in the coin is Earth. So when you placed it either in straight row or grouped together, the five element will be perfect harmony where the Fire- Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Frankly, firstly, it is difficult to comment based only on a simple description. From what I can understand, it is quite common to have a situation such as yours. And one should not automatically have a pre-mature conclusion that what you are facing is "bad". If you are very very concerned, and may not have the expertise, then see if you can employ a competent FS practitioner to review your home Feng Shui. In Feng Shui, the way each home "interacts" with each other can have or may not have an influence on your existing home. In addition, Compass School Feng Shui (Flying Star and Eight House) should be applied to give a bigger picture of the entire situatio…

Dear Nansi, This is based on the Grand Duke Theory where for this year, one should not offend the Grand Duke of Jupiter by not doing renovation at the East direction. The Grand Duke or Tai Su `will' be offended if one e.g. digs earth or do renovations at this direction as it will disturb him. Unfortunately, the effects can be `long lasting' as it may extend to a few years. So far, frankly, this is the warning but no acceptable cures are available. As mentioned earlier, for some Chinese, they may consider `praying' for forgiveness to the Tai Su or Grand Duke of Jupiter. Other than this, I really do not know what to do also. Because, many who are aware of this, remember abo…

Anonymous wrote: is it bad fengshui to have false ceiling if there are no beams to hide?esp atdining & foyer area? 1. It has more to do with "Commonsense - approach to Feng Shui". 2. For example, many false ceilings are made of gypsum board and these are light weight materials. But, even if the owners don't have bad feelings about it, but, your guests such as friends and relatives may sometimes give comments saying that they read somewhere that this is not good! 3. And if we get too many negative comments, we ourselves may begin to feel not very comfortable with the false ceiling. 4. In Feng Shui, there is no major concern, here as you had mentioned, there is no …

Dear Anon, In my opinon, the best units are at #20 or #23. Units that are facing the highway such as #22, #30 etc... can be quite noisy and parts of their balcony/bedrooms is affected by the afternoon sun especially for higher floors. The unit that you are considering is OK especially for high floors since there is a very auspicious double 8 at the balcony area(facing direction). And in fact, what better scope is that there is aswimming pooljust outside of it. Furthermore, because the unit is South-Northdirection, most of the unit(s)will not be affected by the afternoon sun. Only the very high floo…
