Dear Marcus, In the west, bees generally signifies industrious and hardworking. For the Chinese, there is very little significance attached to bees. The only significance is that when it is associated with a monkey... a monkey and bee implies the hope for a promotion. I believe, that it is certainly a good sign for you:) Wishing you all the best on your new job! Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Some say that SW is the romance sector. Thus, it was felt that hanging family photos is acceptable, here. 2. Usually when applying Flying Star Feng Shui, one can further fine tune applying paintings appropriate for that sector. Thus, if that sector has a mountain star then, a "landscape" painting or picture is acceptable. While if it is a water wealth location, then common Chinese paintings include the kok or gold fish paintings. Glass framed paintings if possible should not be hung facing a bedroom door or facing the main entrance d door. Yes, what you mentioned above, does help. Quote: Are the landscaping, the car porch and garage at the back also help the house situation which is between 2 road (small lane at the back, normal road at front)? Attached is the drawing to illustrate the situation better.

1. The convex mirror that you have mentioned is acceptable. 2. Based in the concept of: "if it is not seen, it no longer is a threat" could be considered (if practical) i.e. drawing down day curtains or blinds; can be considered.

Dear Jackie, Since you are a Southwest person, more importanly, you should try to sleep with your head facing either one of the following:- West - Health SW - Excellent NW - Longevity NE - Prosperity Yes, it is not auspcious for the bedroom door to face the kitchen sink. This is akin to `water' flushing down the sink. The best option here is not to close the door when not `in use'. Alternatively, (not compulsory) but an option only: install a beaded curtain or a curtain on the door. -----Original Message-----

Dear Eve, Traditional Feng Shui did not mention anything about the fridge as it was not invented yet. However, the number of fridge is not important as it does not provide warmth and effectively is `self-contained' box. Unlike the stove which is considered the `heart' of the kitchen, frige or a number of them are not that crucial. The only thing crucial here is that it must not be next to a `fire' element or if so, provide at least 6 inches or 130 cm distance. Yeah, forgot, Honeywell site also recommends the use of specific plants to help clean the air in the home:- http://content.honeywell.com/yourhome/eiac-air_cleaners/plants.htm Perhaps, for those who cannot (for now) afford the air cleaner can look at the recommended type of plants that can help to clean the house's air. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Leaving old bed frame: has been done before 2. 2walls: really your call. If one applies Compass school; then it is a different story altogether as one can analyze which of the two is better and who sleeps; where. Under the current situation; you may have to go with personal feel.

Dear Anon, 1. Feel free to use the Free auspicious dates report for the next 30 days under the following link by typing this url into your internet browser:- date.geomancy.net Or goto this url: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-dateboth.htm Quote: Anonymous wrote: Im renting a house but how do you found a good date for moving in? 2. Good dates should be treated as "nice-to-have" rather than "must-have". However, since ancient times, the Chinese have a believe in selecting auspicious dates especially for : marriages, start of piling work (new home), moving into a new office / home etc... Thus, it is all in the Chinese custom to do so. Warmest Rega…

1. Usually, some older folks would wrap (even number of coins) e.g. 20 cents in a red paper and placed it into the urn. 2. You may pour the contents (ash) into say a plastic "bin" and check to see if there was any previous "objects or items" such as the above. If so, you can still take it out and place it into your new urn. 3. Often, when changing urns, some would scoop some of the old ash into the new urn. 4. You may wrap up the old urn in a "used" clean newspaper and simply throw it away, afterwards.

Dear Andy, I see that you are new to the forum. A warm welcome to you! Under the most basic of Feng Shui concepts, your desk can be arranged based on 3 FS concepts: A. Shapes and Form School: 1. Always place one side of the table flushed against e.g. a pillar or wall `for support'. 2. Where best, the back of the desk should not be a walkway. Ideally, you should have a wall behind the table. For a `solid' support. 3. Do not sit under a column. 4. Avoid poison arrow e.g. sharp edges pointed towards you. 5. The table should not be seen openly from a door or directly facing a door. 6. It should not be next to a toilet or facing one. The above are some of the general considera…

Dear Elizabeth, In a classroom, priority should be given to the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui: 1. Usually a classroom is rectangular in shape. 2. Normally one side of the classroom has windows. The opposite side usually are the entry and exit points. 3. If the classrooms are airconditioned and there are blinds at the windows, it would still be best to arrange the tables tangent to the windows so as to avoid glare. If we use the above `formula', there is really not much we can change the placings of the tables (other than to avoid glare). The traditional placement of tables in uniform rows and columns is still the preferred method. As a teacher, one would have to sit…

Dear Wong Paul, Wong paul wrote: Mr Lee, Care to elaborate how can I improve the flying star of my house. thanks Just like what we kept mentioning from time to time. You must identify what are leaks in the home. So for flying star, do a flying star analysis of the home. Once you have done a flying star chart, identify where are the trouble stars ie star 5 and star 2. If they fall in key areas of the house (ie living room/bedroom etc). These stars should be neutralised with metal. Even like star 3 and star 4, these are stars often related to lawsuits / romance stars. If they are present in especially bedroom etc, these are sectors that need to be balance off. Often wi…

Using eye-ball method, please see attachment for the centrepoint. Looks like the centerpoint is not located in the toilet. It is located in the kitchen. But fortunately, it is not directly above the stove which is inauspicious. The Concept of Maximizing Marksshould be applied should the toilet is located at the centrepoint.

Construction, Property, Estate Agency, etc would not be appropriate for me. Could you give me some more fields, jobs, or ideas for Earth Element? This is why I was asking about maps or nutrition for food industry. Interior Design? Or would this come under "Arts" which is Water element

Dear Anon, To help you understand better, I have drawn a sketch of two layouts which are considered good staircase layout plans. There are more, but these two are, in my opinion, the most common ones:) Two sample layouts: Layout A and B of auspicious location of a staircase. The advantage of staircase: Layout A is that if one can imagine, a storeroom can be built below the stairs. Secondly, there is a private corridor to go upstairs.

Dear Cecil, If I plot a pie chart, both bathroom and bedroom are in the SE sector (flying stars 2 & 5). What's the remedy to put for the bedroom? In this case, shall I make a big window in the bathroom to have a primary influence of qi to capture the bad stars? Appreciate your advice here.

Dear Nathalie, In Feng Shui, there are two concepts:- 1. study facing a good direction. You can use the free Feng Shui report to look at it. However, caution is that it is always better to have the study table position based Good Shapes and Forms than (para 1 i.e. nice to have). For example, if the best direction is to place the study table next to the bedroom door; this may be distracting to your eldest son even if the direction is good! 2. Another traditional idea is that if it window of the bedroom open out and to the right (a distance away); there is a tall e.g. tower, this signifies, scholaristic achievement. Many FS practitioners encourage the placement of a small f…
