Dear Larry, There are two ways to go about under Feng Shui: 1. By personal feel In general, if you and your family members have "positive" feel about it, I think it is good enough to place these lamps at specific locations. 2. By Flying Star Feng Shui Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in particular; sectors that for example have good "mountain" sectors or sectors that need "fire" would be suitable locations for the lamps that are lighted 24 hours. As light from the lamps represent the fire element. And any sector that lacks fire element can have such a lamp introduced to that location. While the salt lamps is conside…

Dear Anon, First, the good news is that the moles mentioned under the illustration at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/face.htm usually refers to `significance' of inauspicious moles. Thus the `good news' is that any other positions are either considered neutral or if wants one to consider acceptable locations. Frankly, I have researched further on the mole you mentioned, yet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Debbie, In general or wider sense, there is little on the topic of how we can make use of Feng Shui to sell a house. However, under the Feng Shui/Chinese Astrology, a Geomancer can find a `good' date for a person to `sell' the house. Let me elaborate:- This is through the use of the 5 elements concept under the Pillars of Destiny. For example, if you are a person whose main element is " Weak Water ". Each particular day and even time, is governed by an element. Not to complicate matters, its assume that today is governed by the ` Water element ". Since today's element is Water, Water will improve your Weak Water and this is considered your favourable day. More compli…

Dear Robin, Frankly, the best advise is not to purchase a flat directly above a garage as this is inauspicious and there are no known *effective* cures i.e. in my opinion, as of now, I cannot recommend any cures for this. Dear Cecil, Today I went to Chinese art shops to find bottle gourds. All I found are attached with pictures such as swastika, Kwan Im, Ba Gua & Tiger. What do you think about the pictures on them? Some of them have holes at the top. I bought one with Kwan Im picture. I think it is more neutral than one with Ba Gua & Tiger pictures. However, mine doesn't have a hole at the top. Should I make one hole? Does size matter? Thanks in advance. 1. Feng Shui has two major schools: 1.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; 1.2. Compass School Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star 2. I can only comment on Para 1.1: this is a general advice forum and not a I do it for you sort of thing: It is so easy to add the compass direction, but there is a lot of work needed for such an evaluation. And often it also has to include the breadwinners date n time of birth. If you can, DIY on your own.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: But I know, my renovation of the house will include wacking of wall, making flooring and furniture from scratch. It's totally empty and not furnished yet. Yes, if based on your renovation, it does not matter if it is a period 7 house now. As the "wacking of wall", will likely convert it to a period 8 house. So what you should be doing is planning the home so that it fits the period 8 house chart to benefit from the period 8 house luck. Hope that helps. Hi, Frankly, I have not read the book you mentioned by Eva Wong so unable to comment on it. Usually, the author would provide some information on their School. If it is BTB (Black Hat Sect) my advise is to avoid these books. From the description of the book, most likely it is on the Shapes and Form. In general, it is easier to apply the Shapes and Form as it is more general and can apply to most homes. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thank you very much foryour answer, I would like to make couple clarifications. 1. The house facing is very bad for my husband, since he is a west group. East is the worst direction for him. Should I be concerned? 2. I understand that kitchen should not be in the NW section of the house, that is why I am thinking of renovate the kitchen. After renovation, the stove will facing east, which still is a bad direction for both of us. Which one is worse? Stove in NW section, or stove facing bad direction? 3. The tree is very health fruit tree, however, it blocks light from east, make the entry dark. Since east is not a good direction, shall I leave it? The door is east facing, c…

Dear Albert, Thank you for your information. 1. For the graves, once it is exhumed properly and if there are no longer any more graves (left) on the site; the graves would usually not pose a problem. 2. As mentioned earlier, with construction activity that may usually take 2 years or more would effectively, neutralise any of the points under Para 1. 3. Although the land is on a slight depression, I believe normally the developers would first lay the foundation and most likely the car parks would be underground. The first level apartments would normally be higher than the depression. 4. It would be acceptable for the MRT tracks to run parallel (and this would not create …

1. This link has some information on Ferraria Park condo: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=43&mid=26473&new= 2. One of the major concerns of residents especially those that had purchased units at the opposite large connected blocks 8 to 14 is the high wall and also the potential road noise from cars coming into the estate towards your underground car park. 3. Generally, under current Flying star period 8, your stack 29 Block 18 is facing a wading pool. And If based on the most yang qi the facing direction of the block (stack) is a Period 8 South 1 facing direction. You may have to look or find out more of the characteristics of this …

1. Frankly, this is not directly linked to any major Feng Shui theory, other than perhaps symbolism and human luck factors. 2. Under symbolism, of course, water draining out is like luck going out of the door. And if one feels not too good with this "omen" then, your human luck factor drops further.

Further to what I had mentioned, if the glass blocks are squarish or rectangular - piled together to form a "wall", this is OK. Do avoid circular glass blocks - much like the pothole of a ship or those found on a ship i.e. circular windows. Here, circle is considered not auspicious especially since it could symbolise a "sinking" ship. Where, the pothole of a ship seeps in water and thus sinks a ship. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Andy, Since it is not an entrance door (main door); the upper floor in this case, should not be considered in isolation from the ground unit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Thank you for your most informative feedback. I have to admit, I have visited Lillian Too's website a few times and noticed that she now has a "FS jewelry" being sold online. I was flabbergasted when I saw that. I immediately questioned her integrity. FS jewelries, of all things.......what's next, FS make-up or FS nail polish line? What color would give you luck on a job interview????? Anyway, I will look into the books/authors you mentioned. Thank you again very much and hope you continue to share proper information.
